"Providence Independence at Wildwood has very nice facilities and amenities. The apartments are a little tight but nice and had full kitchens. The facility itself and the people were wonderful. Everybody was nice, the place was immaculate, and they had a lot going on. They had craft rooms, movie viewing rooms, card rooms, and a pool. "

"Highpoint at Stonecrest is convenient to my doctors. It is very nice. I love the place, but the monthly rent was expensive. It is relatively new, and it is convenient for anything you want to do. It is convenient for shopping, and of course, they provide transportation. I had a meal there, and it was wonderful. They have a chef in their kitchen. It was very good. It was excellent. I was very pleased with this place. Their rooms were outstanding. They were beautiful. They had updated appliances, cabinets, and countertops. Everything was up to date. If you ended up getting a space there and you didn't like something in it, you would have to update it at your cost, but they always clean it and paint it and everything like that before you go in. My daughter loved that place. I took her there, and it was like going into a model home. They have a movie theater, gymnastic place, and areas where you could have exercise classes or different things like that. I thought they were well planned out."

"The Carriage House is only two years old. It was very nice, beautiful and everything was clean. The dining area is really nice with a very nice menu. The waitress came and took our menu choices, and they serve salad before and dessert after. They have studios, one bedroom and two bedrooms. The residents seemed happy. "

It had a great dining room area, and a lot of things to do for the seniors. It was a great place. The staff member was wonderful, she was very caring, she talked to my mom, she showed her all the fun stuff that they do, and we checked out a couple of different models. She was very, very nice. She made my mom feel -- because my mom really doesn't want to go -- so she was very good with her. I saw the menus, and I thought they were great. They have a pool and patio."

"Upon entering Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, we were greeted with a smile and saw many smiling faces in the common space. We noticed a staff member having a cup of coffee and sharing conversations with some residents, and a cook from the kitchen participating with another group of residents building puzzles. Many seem engaged. Our first impression was positive, and it felt like we had enetered the family room of one of our homes. There is a cozy feeling and an inviting environment. Throughout the time we were there, we were greeted by many staff members, identified by there name badges. Unfortunately, there weren’t many activities at the time of our visit, there were things listed on the schedule, but we didn’t see any of them taking place. The apartments we saw felt very spacious and we enjoyed learning about Brookdales Optimum Care philosophy. We look forward to having our mom become a resident at Welisha Springs"

"I'm interested in The Summit of Winter Garden. I just liked it. It felt comfortable. They showed me an apartment, everything was very nice. It was just very nicely laid out, it was big enough and not too big, and it had a nice little bedroom, and a living room. The residents were playing bingo, they had everything, and they said they have a party every Friday night. They had a beauty shop and library, which were very nice, and they offer transportation. It's a very clean and very well-maintained facility."

"I liked Inspired Living at Ocoee. It was nice. It was cleaner and newer. The setup was also nice. You have to bring your own TV, bed, curtains, pictures on the wall, and everything. You furnish the room yourself and they would allow you to bring your dog. They have a swimming pool and they have three meals a day and snacks. The lady that gave the tour was good and knowledgeable of the place and activities that they were doing. She answered all my questions when I wanted answers."

"My tour at Florida Golden Adult Care went very well. I liked that it was a neighborhood, in that my aunt wouldn't get lost in a giant building. The place was very clean. The staff who toured us was very welcoming and informative. I was given a tour of the house. She showed me the complete facility. The dining area was clean and welcoming. There's a nice big backyard with a screened-in porch to eat out, and there's a TV, too."

"Arya at Windermere is fantastic. It's beautiful, but we couldn't afford it. When you enter, you're greeted amicably, and then they show you the rooms. We didn't look at the facilities due to time strain, but the rooms look good, a bit small, but you can live in there. You have to bring your own stuff. The layout looks good, like somewhere you would really live for the rest of your life. It's good for living. It's really, really nice. The staff who assisted during the tour was good. She knows everything. She knows what she's doing. It's just a pity that it's not workable with our income. Other than that, it's good."

"The staff is very good. The food is great, too. What I really like is that it has three separate buildings (one for independent, one for assisted living, and one for memory care). They're all separate. I'm in the independent living and it seems like a normal living process instead of being mixed together with all the others. Everybody is pretty good in this building. The rooms are very good and fairly spacious. I have a two-bedroom so that people can come and visit me. There are all sorts of activities here. They keep you busy. They have a small gym. I feel like I'm on a cruise; that's the atmosphere."

"I toured Cascade Heights. They are completely renovating it, putting in flooring, etc., and that's a real plus. I like the fact that they are not putting down carpets, that they've gone to all manufactured wood floors because it's much better for people with allergies, and it's much easier to keep clean. I like the wood floors; I think that's very nice. I like the size of the facility there. It was better priced obviously than the other place. I was lucky because I got one apartment that has a view of the marsh and all behind it. I don't overlook the parking lot, which probably would have affected my choice, but I didn't have to make that choice, so that was good. Amenity-wise, they're very similar. They all offer the same thing. The only real drawback to that place is that there is no washer and dryer in the apartment itself. One good thing is that every Friday, they come in and they strip your bed, wash it, and put it back on, so that's a plus. As far as your clothing goes, then they have a washer and dryer on each floor, but you are responsible for doing your own laundry as long as you're independent. You can still be independent but need assistance with just a few things, and that's okay with them. Their pool is outdoors, and they have a large porch right outside the main entrance. It's covered, obviously, and they have rocking chairs. It's a very nice approach to the entranceway. The person who toured me around was very nice; she was not very at all pushy. She was very straightforward."

"Brookdale Lake Orienta is easily accessible. The people appeared to be very nice and very friendly. The facilities appeared to be very clean and very organized. The restaurant type of eating facility was very impressive. The only thing I didn't like too much was the fact that I had to provide everything, like the furniture. For some people, that's very convenient because then you can bring your own stuff, but for the price they're asking, I think they should provide the furnishings, too, because the price is not low. The building is old, but it's well maintained. The size of the rooms was fair."
