"I just got out of rehab at Winter Park Care & Rehabilitation Center. I just love that the staff is very professional and the physical therapy people are excellent. The food was good, it was nutritious and the serving sizes were great. They do activities every day, they have board games, they have outdoor time, and they have music. They have an outdoor patio that's all fenced and attended by staff."

"My mother was a resident at this facility for a month. We could not have asked for better patient care. My mom, was anxious, since this was her first time at a Rehab facility. From every department we received optimal care, and my mom as well as the family are very thankful. "

"We have placed my relative here in Manor Care and we're happy with it so far. We had two other family members that were there in their hospice unit before and we were pleased with their services at that time. We like the price, it is affordable. The facility is nice and clean. My relative seems to get good service there. I would recommend this place to others. "

"My mother was at Avante Orlando for wound care and therapy for a few weeks in October 2016. Although the building is older and they do not have private rooms my mother had a great experience and returned home. . The therapy department was excellent, the food was good and she had a lot of activities to attend through out the week. My father takes her back every Monday to have lunch with some of the long term residents that she connected with during her rehabilitation. "

"We have my mother in a nursing home right now called Longwood Health and Rehab, and they are very good. Most of their executive staff is very good, and many nurses have been there for over 10 years, which is rare in a nursing home. Their activity programs and nutritionist are very good, too. My mother has been there for four years, so it’s been a very good place with different levels of care available. The rooms are nice and clean. The food and the dining room setup are very good. "

"We had my mother at East Orlando Health and Rehab. It's a skilled nursing facility. The staff is wonderful and she gets the attention that she needs. They are very, very compassionate. The facility is very clean and they are in the process of renovating the place. They have nice grounds and when the residents want to go out, they have a nice place to sit. They have physical and occupational therapy. They have all kinds of activities. They have social services. They have podiatrists and doctors there. My mother complains about the food, but I know its institutional food. Overall, we have no complaints. "

"Winter Park was large, and I was visiting my girlfriend. It had a memory center. My girlfriend’s room was a beautiful view. The rent was higher with a view than it was without a view. The overall plan was nice. I wasn’t impressed with the activities; it didn’t seem well-organized. The staff was nice enough, but I didn’t feel like I belong. Everyone was very nice and friendly, but it’s not my cup of tea. "

"After working nonstop all my life, I had a stroke and had to go to a rehab center. I had to choose a facility based on my insurance. I chose Rio Pinar because I live nearby. I received excellent care while there. My Therapist evaluated me shortly after my admission and assigned me a score. I could barely do anything for myself. The Therapist also gave me a score that I would have to reach before I could go home. I was very determined to regain my independence. The Staff was very friendly and encouraged me everyday. I was able to go to therapy when I chose to go and even was allowed to go in the gym extra as I chose. My Wife and daughters were also encouraging me everyday and they would eat dinner there with me almost every day or so. I found everyone there to be very accomodating. With a combination of my shear will and the expertise of my Therapist and Nurses, I achieved my score and was able to go back home and live independently. I am so grateful that the Doctors, Therapist and Nurses at Rio Pinar were there when I needed them. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs rehab like I did. "

"I had to get my mother to a nursing home. She went downhill, so we couldn't do the home care. It was the Life Care Center of Altamonte. There are several Life Care Centers, and I found the one in Altamonte was the nicest. The staff was excellent. I checked out several nursing homes, and it was way above all of them. They had lots of activities, but my mother wasn't at the stage to participate. The rooms were very clean, but not really spacious. "

"I have been to this nursing home several times a week since relocating to the area so that i could visit my Father who is a resident there more often. I am pleasantly surprised how caring the people there are, there are probably too many to mention by name The first one i am impressed with is Naline who is involved in recreational activities, bingo, birthday parties, ice cream socials, and day trips. She is so kind to my Father and myself. She has the patience of Job, and a talent for helping others. I also want to mention J.R., Naline and he were in charge of the last birthday party (July) and they did an outstanding job, keeping people entertained. JR actually had my Dad laughing. I usually leave before the traffic gets too heavy but because my Dad was enjoying the party and music so much I ended up staying an extra hour I also want to mention Lamia (speech therapist), I had a question and she not only answered it she came up with a solution that was better than i expected. She has kept me up to date and informed on my Dads progress. My only suggestion is this place needs to bring back the umbrellas for the patio , or rebuild the Gazebo , shade is badly needed outside "

"We chose Island Lake Center for our mother because it was highly recommended by our friends. It was a modern place. There was a courtyard where the residents walked if they wanted. They had nurses on duty for 24 hours, and a doctor came in once a week. The facility was complete from the hairstylist to the physical therapy section. They just had about everything. The owner strived to listen and emotionally supported the families. The staff were caring, compassionate and cooperative. They were strictly hands-on with my mother. My mom was in a shared room with their own bathroom. She could bring whatever furniture she wanted. The place was really kept clean. The facility had a nice dining area. The chef prepared good food for the residents. We did not regret putting our mother there. "

" Words can not express how much I appreciate everything the caregivers and staff did for my mom. When we heard she had the coronavirus, we thought the worst. We did not want her to go to a nursing home because of everything we have heard, but the people at Conway Lakes put us at ease and took amazing care of her. I can not begin to explain how impressed my family was with the compassion and care shown to our mom. She received therapy while on the covid unit and when she was ready to come home, she was doing more than when she went in! If I could rate this place a 10 I would. If any of my friends had to send a family member to a nursing home, I would recommend Conway Lakes!"
