"My mom has been in Longwood for over a year and definitely, I wouldn't want to make any changes at this time. The facility was not a fancy place, it's older but it's well taken care of and well maintained. They have separate dining areas for those who need help eating and for those who go back and forth and eat on their own. They have rooms for recreational activities and staff members who lead different activities like painting and arts and crafts. They have a piano area set up for entertainment. They have onsite therapy rooms and doctors who make rounds every day. My mom shares a room with a private bathroom and has medical attention there. The staff was very helpful over the phone and when I went over there to look, I saw a lot of very happy residents interacting with their caregivers, looking comfortable, well cared for and enjoying themselves. The food is fine, some days are better than others but it's not bad at all. I like the staff, they're very good at calling and letting me know if they have questions about my mother's health. If something happened, they told me and what they did about it. My mom likes the way she's treated there, her spirit's better and her risk of falling is less. They could probably improve on giving feedback for changes in some scheduled meetings. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in my mother's circumstances. "

"My husband is a resident of this facility. He is only 47 and we couldnt find a facility to accept. I live in Orlando so finding somewhere I could trust was high on my list. I am only 43 with 2 teen age kids, work full time and am unable to be there all the time. Visually its not the prettiest place but they care for there residents, they get excited when they see him making milestones. Before here doctors wanted me to do hospice no one saw the potential I could see, but here they do and since being here his bed sores are healed, and taken very seriously if they notice the skin breaking down. He has not been sick with a cold. He is really cared for and everyone is sweet and willing to help where they can. Im happy to say dont judge a book by its cover. If you have to place a family member they will be in good hands. "

"Village on the Green is a very nice campus and very spread out with large apartments. They seem to have very caring staff. They described the amenities. The meals were very good. Their wait staff was excellent."

"There are just two reasons that we left Life Care. One, it was a little too big for my mother -- too many people. And two, she wanted a private room. The clientele there were socio-economically not at her peer group, so she is more comfortable where she is now in terms of her colleague or her co-residents, and she has some vanity about her. I never ate in the dining room there; I didn't care for it. It was too institutional and just adequate. The thing is it depends on what is important to the patient. If it were me, I would take the top medical care even if I have to suffer a little bit on rooms, but my mother doesn't think that way. She'd rather be comfortable and treated like a queen even if the medical care isn't any good. It depends on what the patient values, in my view. Their therapy was a five-star, and the nursing staff is a four-star. They were friendly and quite attentive, but the therapy is very good. If you were rehabbing, I would highly recommend it. "

"Can’t say enough good about the hard working and friendly staff at Tuskawilla. The rehab staff really knew their stuff. That was the main reason I chose Tuskawilla for my rehab stay. They really knew how to motivate me and get me better. Thanks for everything!"

"My father and mother both have been at the Lutheran Haven for two and a half years. Mom is in a cottage and dad is in the nursing home. The staff does a tremendous job caring for all the residents from the independent homes to the assisted living to the nursing home. Plenty of activities to do. Transportation when needed. Able to walk next door to church and all the activities at St. Luke's Lutheran including their terrific concert series. "

"Consulate Health Care of West Altamonte provide three good, healthy meals a day. The offer therapy. She is happy there, and she does not want to move anywhere else. Everything is outstanding. "

"Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital provides a little garden area with real food planted there. They also have outdoor rehab work, and they give you all manner of rehab there. They start in the mornings. The people that work in the rehab area are so professional, and they make rehab fun. They make sure you do as well as you can. The food was really good. My room there was clean and nice, but it was not anything spectacular."

"My sisters put my mom here at Florida Living Center. It is very nice and they are doing a good job. They are rated five stars so it is really good. But we still go back to her to make sure because her skin is very tender and we have to wash her. I go there to make sure she eats and sometimes I feed her myself. They have rooms and apartments in there as well. "

"My husband came here For short time after his low back fusion surgery, I walked-in and asked for a quick tour a week before he got admitted , Franki was very nice, she showed me around and explained everything. The facility was clean the management are Very nice the staff are super nice and Helpful they accepted any request and they tried their best to keep my husband happy and comfortable. My husband doesn’t eat pork or eggs so Tony the dietary manager came to his room and ask him about the food he preferred. He was very helpful. Anytime my husband asked for extra things they bring it to him. The most important thing and the reason he was there is the PT and OT. They are very professional and nice and always smiling and helping..thank you, Mike and Ariel The nurses:Rose, Renée, Jessica and Mack are very caring nurses Zeina , the activity lady was so funny try to make the residents. Thank you Kristy for coordinating with The doctors and insurance I would’ve put five stars for this facility, but I put four because it needs renovation from inside other than that, it’s a clean facility. It was a very nice staff."

"I love how the CNAS are very outgoing and make sure that the Resident awell taken care of, young lady Quay was the most brightest young lady and very caring she has great mannners we need more aides like her and I visited a couple of times she always had a smile and welcomed you. Nurses need a lot of help they walk pass call lights and are very rude to the CNAS not okay. "

"My dad is staying at Bedrock Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Winter Park. Right now, he is in rehab but they're going to move him to long-term care. We chose this place because of the friendliness of the administration staff. The layout is basic, but the level of care that he's getting is very good there. Their therapists have helped him out a lot. It's a very clean place, and they clean his room two to three times a day. They offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. I have not tried their food myself, but my dad seems to like it. Some days are better than others, but overall, he is surprised that the food is as good as it is. They have lots of activities for their patients. They also have a snack room that they can go and purchase snacks from. They have a vending machine. They have two courtyards, too. However, they need to improve their communication. They're not great at communicating with each other."
