"I visited Grand Villa for a friend's mother. It was brand new, big, and did not have many people moved in yet even though people had started taking rooms, so I didn't get to see an interaction between the people that would be moving in there and the ones that worked there. They were very polite to everybody that came in. The facilities were beautiful and had special stations for people who like to work with tools could go, like a workshop place and different things to keep the mind active. They have different rooms, a room with a fireplace, and a TV, and an outdoor space with a very high fence. It was so large that it seems to me that somebody could go off in one of these rooms and sit there all day by themselves, and unless no one takes the time to go and find them, they could just be sitting there all day. It's an absolutely beautiful place, and my relative would have been on the second floor. She would have to go down on an elevator, but she couldn't do that herself; someone had to get her because you have to have a special swipe card to make the elevator work, so she would be stuck up on the second floor which is just rooms. It's not ideal. You have to count on the people working there so much because they would bring them all down in the morning and keep them downstairs so they could interact, and I just don't know how happy she would be doing that because she likes doing her own thing. It would have been difficult for her to be herself and do what she wanted. She would have to depend on the staff. "

"They decided to go here as they seem really happy and pleased with it. They are independent seniors, and they like it well. It is luxurious, high end, and it meets the needs of people who are looking for that kind of facility. I would absolutely recommend them. They are nothing but accommodating, and the staff was great. Anything that we have asked, we have got immediate responses."

"I toured The Savoy Gracious Retirement Living. I liked everything about it, but two things. Number one, there is no range stove in the unit. Number two, there's no washer and dryer in the units. You have to go out to do your laundry. You have to go into another room, and I don't like that. Those are two negatives about the place. Everything else was fine. It was really nice. I liked it. Those are just two factors that I'm considering, and I know you're supposed to eat your meals in the dining room. But I don't like the idea of not having a stove because I've lived with this range all my life, and not having one just bothers me. What I liked best about it, number one, was that I was impressed with the people I saw there when I was being shown everything, whether they worked there or were residents. Everybody was very friendly and nice. I thought this might be a nice place to live. Everything was clean and well taken care of, and there's so much to offer. I would be busy all day if I did everything - their number of activities. The lady who showed me through, Lynn, was just great. She was terrific, and then the staff that I saw there, like the housekeeper on the second floor, was primarily the one I talked to. She was working, but she was down in the hallway doing something. She was very friendly. I thought that was very nice of her."

"Brookdale was very good and I really liked the place. It was well-staffed, it was clean and the lady who gave us a tour was very helpful. She took us around to the different areas and eating area. She was very good. I would recommend that as it’s a great place. "

"We toured The Gallery at Port Orange. The look was very nice and pleasing, and as we walked through it, it felt very good. The person who took care of us was excellent. The dining area looked very clean, and everything looked very organized, and the food was very good. I liked that there was a swimming pool and a walking path that you could utilize."

"I moved into Brookdale Lake Orienta, and they're very friendly and kind. I participate in art. They drive us down to doctors' appointments, and the staff is very helpful."

"My mother-in-law has been in Grand Villa for a month now. She's doing quite well. They're very caring and very loving. They seem to be taking good care of her. I think she's happy there. It's clean, the food is fine, and they have lots of activities; she likes the water aerobics. They also have movies, games, and a library, and they go out once a week. It's safe and secure, too. They do a good job. "

"My Mother lives at Seagrass and she absolutely loves it! If you are looking for a beautiful, safe place for your loved one you need to check out Seagrass. The staff members here are always so friendly and willing to help. The activities personnel are always so cheery! I have eaten there many times and the food is always fresh and delicious. She has a 1 bedroom apt. it is very spacious. "

"The took walked us around Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. He was nice, but he really didn't have a whole lot of answers on everything and they only had two-bedroom homes instead of one- bedroom homes. However it's a small community, so it's easier for them to keep track of who you are and what you need. The place itself was nice. We were impressed with it. It was just a little too pricey for us."

"I lived here. I had a really nice room amd it was one of the better rooms. I loved the people there, they were super. The activities were about the same as everywhere else. I had such a good experience there. My husband was also there until he passed away, but it wasn't because of lack of attention. You wouldn't believe how quick the staff members are. The food there is good, they have a chef who works very hard, and he keeps his food up-to-date. They go above and beyond to make sure that their food is competition-ready. They have crafts and they have people come in like entertainers and piano players. The staff or personnel there do everything they can to make sure you're comfortable and happy."

"The staff of Countryside Lakes was very friendly. I would say it was a five-star place. The only thing I did not like was the way they handled the drugs. That was my only drawback on that place, but otherwise it was beautiful. The dining was good, the food was excellent, and the people were friendly -- they knew all the residents by name. It just was really a nice place. The apartments were beautiful. They have a billiard room, and they have Bingo, movies, church, outings to the shopping center, and certain days that they would take them to their doctors. They had a lot of activities there. What impressed me most was the hominess of it. It was very homey; you went to the dining room, there was a tablecloth just like you would have at home, the food was good, and the service was friendly -- it was just very homey. And the apartment was small, but nice enough to fit your needs and not to get lost. "

"Lakeside Retirement Community has a variety of different buildings with different styles and home sizes. It also has separate houses or villas, and those are on the waterfront of a lake. They have great dining options and amenities. They will also be able to share the amenities over on the other side; another community, they have multiple choices. What's nice is it's in the process of being built, so they're all brand new. They have a pool in construction and an exercise area. They're also going to be building a pickleball court, a bocce ball, and a shuffleboard on the other side. They're going to have a sports bar along with their dining options."

"Lexington Place was clean and very professional. They had a lot of amenities. They have a bus to bring their residents on trips. They also have a lot of activities. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. They have a salon, a library, an ice cream shop, a craft room, a TV room, and a dining area. It smells very clean there."
