"We've been in Grand Villa of Palm Coast for a little over two weeks now. The community is very friendly, welcoming, well laid out, private, and caring. We are very, very pleased with our choice. We are in a two-bedroom, two-bath villa. They have several different floor plans, and we chose this one because we are coming from a larger house and going into something smaller. We felt that this would give us the room we needed, and it's working out beautifully. It's laid out perfectly for my husband who uses a wheelchair. We have no issues with doorways, rooms, or bathrooms. It's all very well done. Since COVID, the activities have been curtailed. We also do not have extraordinary amenities. This is not a place that has swimming pools or a golf course -- none of that is here. But that's one of the reasons we chose it. We don't value those things, so we don't need to be paying extra money for stuff we wouldn't use. There is a courtyard for those in the independent and memory care units, though, which is a separate building. Within our type of arrangement, we have our own patio, our own backyard area, and our own garage, so it's really very independent living. There is a small community room up in the main building, and there is a dining area there. During COVID, the meals are being delivered to the independent living facility. Once COVID restrictions go away, we will be able to go and partake in the dining room again. There is an on-site beauty shop where an independent contractor comes in, I think, two days a week. There is also a general store where you could get a few necessities. We have a community bus that will take us to doctors appointments, shopping, and those types of things. We have not really used any of it, so I can't say how well it works. If we choose to, we can do our own cooking. I have a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a microwave, a stove, and a refrigerator that is large enough that I have not put anything into the freezer in the garage yet."

"We toured Ormond In The Pines. I liked pretty much everything. I liked the people. The person who took us on the tour, showed us around, and told us all the information was very knowledgeable. He was fun to work with, and he was great. The layout was a little challenging. You'd have to know it because it was very spread out. But I guess once you're there for a month or two, you can figure out where everything is. But other than that, it was fine. The building was fine. They were updating a lot of the rooms, and it had a pool."

"We found a place for my aunt called Riviera Senior Living, and I’m very happy with it. They’re accommodating, pleasant, and helpful, and my aunt is happy. The room is beautiful. I have eaten there a couple of times already, and their presentation of the food is wonderful. If a resident doesn’t seem to like something, they make every effort to find something that they do like. I have not observed that with my aunt, but I have seen other residents ask for something different, and they have been very accommodating. "

"I visited Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. They have a new building that's separate from the assisted living and there were only three people in it the day I looked. They have to go over to the main building for all the activities and stuff. It has the memory care as well. They have everything there including a gym and a fitness center with machines. It has the feel of an Italian. They have a big area where every Friday night they make pizzas in the oven that they have right there. You sit out there to see them cooking and all. It's a gathering place on Friday night for people. I only really met the gal that took us around, and then just waved to people that we went by. It's topnotch. It's expensive, but it's brand new, and large. The outdoor was very nice. They have a garden, a little putting green, and an area for sitting out there."

"Clyde Morris Senior Living Communities seemed like a good value. They had a nice-sized room. I looked at the two-bedroom apartment. They had nice facilities. They had everything but a pool. They had a washer and dryer, a physical fitness room, a lounge, and a balcony. The facility was brand new, so it all looked nice. It was clean and empty like a new apartment would look. The staff members were busy, but they were helpful."

"I found Allegro for my mother. We chose this community because it was the nicest one. The staff was all fabulous. They were very good, very nice and very kind to her. Everything is five-star. Their rooms are beautiful. Their dining room is very nice. They have everything like field trips. What I like best about this community is the staff and the cleanliness and that it is new and pretty. "My wife moved into Majestic Gardens Living. It's a fairly small place. It's almost a brand-new building, and it's very nice and very clean. Her room is very nice and very big. The staff has been very good. They provide 3 meals a day. They're not gourmet, but they're OK. They have activities all the time, like bingo and board games. I would recommend it to anybody. It's owned by a lady doctor, and she comes in every day. She has a pretty good crew there."

"Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living was a beautiful location. The general front sitting area was not very large, but the sitting area in the restaurant was fine. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had a gym, a salon, and a courtyard, but no pool. The cleanliness looked very nice. We liked the larger bedrooms and they had a very nice garden area."
