"Everyone at Augustine Landing was very friendly. It was a very nice, intimate property because it had less than 100 residents. The apartments were nice. For my parents, it's gonna be a little small just because they would be moving from a single family home. If it were just one of them, it would be perfect. It's gonna be a little bit too small for the two of them as far as the size of the apartments. It's very pretty, peaceful, quiet, and clean. Everyone was very personable. You could tell they knew the residents very well and that was nice to see. Right now, they're doing delivery service to the rooms because of COVID. It's very well organized, and the menus looked very good, very healthy, and diverse."

"I love Brookdale Southside, and I think that's where I'm moving. The apartment is nice. It has lots of storage. It has a washer and dryer in the unit. It has a dishwasher and a stove, too. And they have a heated swimming pool there. I looked at the menu and you have a preference for either lunch or dinner, whichever you want. They played bongos, I saw people playing cards, and there was a group that was doing chair tap dancing. They have arts and crafts going on all the time. The activity menu was crazy. There are so many things to choose from. I talked to a couple of the residents, and they had nothing but great things to say. They have a library and a game room. They have two different Bible studies that I'm very much interested in. The building is very updated. Everything is bright, shiny, and clean. It is also very secure."

"We visited the Grand Living At Tamaya. There were a lot of things that I looked at. The location, it's perfect for us. The facility itself is amazing, really great looking. We were just really impressed. The whole family was. My mom-in-law's going to move in on the 15th. The rooms were so much more above. It was more akin to an upper level hotel than it was a nursing home or an assisted living. We toured the assisted and memory care. She's not there yet, so everything else wouldl be a little difficult to actually say at this point. I didn't meet any of the staff."

"It has a wonderful atmosphere, a lot of activities, very caring staff, and my mom got excellent care there. She was there on respite care in their assisted living for about 45 days. The facility is beautiful and in a convenient location. The staff was excellent, everybody's very helpful, and we had no problems with them. The food was also good. They had music every week and they had a lot of games that they played. My mom didn't participate, but they had them available."

"I attended a wine event at this facility right before Christmas and was blown away! There is not another retirement community in the area that is comparable. The food was amazing and the staff and people that live there were all so happy. I felt like i was visiting a beautiful resort. "

"Allegro seemed to be the most knowledgeable of the ones we went to about senior living and government benefits. They seemed to have really good information. They said they'd be willing to help even if our mother didn't go there, and if we had questions, just come to them and ask and they would help us out. That was the impressive. The people were very knowledgeable. The seniors were active and happy. It's important that the people living there are happy. The pricing is a little bit expensive, but they have more nursing care."

"I'm happy to be here at The Meetinghouse at Collins Cove. Everything is fine. I prepare my own meals. The staff in the office are very helpful and polite. They answer my questions to the best of their ability. There's a swimming pool and a sauna. There are activities in the community room occasionally. The upkeep is excellent and the prices are comparable."

"really liked this location as it offers the best of everything. From fine dining and golf to museums, beaches, nightlife and entertainment to football games. The proximity to Westminster Woods, Julington Creek, and St. Johns River make great places to explore, picnic and take nature walks. The dining options offer a variety of fresh, healthy foods that looked and smelled delicious. Snacks are available all day every day. The communal activity rooms are all nicely sized and decorated. The staff and management are very accommodating and eager to make the residents and visiting families comfortable. The property includes areas for arts and crafts, woodworking, billiards and sewing. There is also a convenient boutique and exceptionally equipped fitness center. "

"We toured a 55 and over independent community called Marcis Pointe in Jacksonville. It's very nice and very clean. I talked to several people who live there, and they like it. They've been there for several years. They have activities and a nice pool, which was not open because it was a little bit too cold to swim still. The staff is very nice and professional. It's all positive. The only problems are the rent and the location because it's located in a terrible area. Of course, they have armed guards in there to be sure it's safe."

"I liked The Coves at River Garden. It was very clean, not large, and had a lot of activities. I met the director. They had an indoor pool. The only problem is there's a waiting list of a year or a year and a half because it is small. The cost is about the same as the really nice ones, but you don't have to have a huge buy-in, which was very interesting to me. I saw a one-bedroom with a bath and a half, but the one I liked was the two-bedroom with two baths, which was very spacious. They had remodeled the kitchens with beautiful new cabinets and glass backsplashes, and it's very well kept. They had large walk-in closets that I liked. You get dinner, which is included in the rent, and they have lunch available, but you have to pay for it. They take you to the doctor and to the grocery store, and they have activities planned every day. I saw the independent, assisted, and the nursing home. The staff who toured me was very knowledgeable and very kind."

"We were impressed with Riverside Presbyterian House. It's very nice and it had several options. Although we were not particularly impressed with the dining room and the meals that they have, but still they're acceptable. I certainly would keep them in mind as maybe a place that we'll go back to look at. "
