The Coves Independent Living

I toured the independent living of The Coves At River Garden. Everything looked new. I believe all of the structures were brick. There was parking available at each unit. It was very attractive. I was in the lobby for a good while, and I got a chance to see people going back and forth to different activities. I saw the restaurant, and that was about it. In terms of upkeep and cleanliness, it was top-notch and very attractive. The staff who assisted me there was very helpful. They were top-notch.

I liked The Coves at River Garden. It was very clean, not large, and had a lot of activities. I met the director. They had an indoor pool. The only problem is there's a waiting list of a year or a year and a half because it is small. The cost is about the same as the really nice ones, but you don't have to have a huge buy-in, which was very interesting to me. I saw a one-bedroom with a bath and a half, but the one I liked was the two-bedroom with two baths, which was very spacious. They had remodeled the kitchens with beautiful new cabinets and glass backsplashes, and it's very well kept. They had large walk-in closets that I liked. You get dinner, which is included in the rent, and they have lunch available, but you have to pay for it. They take you to the doctor and to the grocery store, and they have activities planned every day. I saw the independent, assisted, and the nursing home. The staff who toured me was very knowledgeable and very kind.

I went to check out the independent living of River Garden, but they don’t take people who have a cane or walker; you have to be completely ambulatory. However, it’s really nice and the people seemed pleased to be there. The have lots of activities and take people into town for the things they need to do.

I liked the appearance, the size, and the personnel at The Coves. They had transportation, if you needed it. The staff was very much straightforward.
