"Augustine Landing was well kept and organized. Everybody seemed very pleasant. I strictly saw just one room due to my budget and that was a studio apartment. It was small and I probably have to sell about half of my stuff. The dining area was very good, and they can make three selections of meals. I kind of question that there weren't that many people eating in that facility, but now I understand. With the Covid, they had to kind of dwindle it down at one time to how many people were in the area, so they were serving a lot of their people in their room. They have bingo three times a week. They have an exercise room, a library, and a chapel. They have activities going, but as for outside, they're limited as to going outside the facility. The staff was very informative. I did have to ask questions and they sent me a brochure after the visit with the floorplan and the cost."

"I toured Brookdale Southside, and it looked fine. I just didn't like the idea of no refrigerator and no central air conditioning in the rooms, and it didn't have a screened-in porch. The friendliness was fine. I had no issues with that. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable."

"Grand Living At Tamaya was very first class. But it didn't fit our particular needs. I like the apartment space. The independent living section was very first class, very well furnished, and very well-staffed. The rooms for assisted living were exceptionally well decorated. I have tried their food, and it was well served. I also saw a yoga class and some art classes there. The staff were well-trained. Of all that I visited, that would be the top one."

"It has a wonderful atmosphere, a lot of activities, very caring staff, and my mom got excellent care there. She was there on respite care in their assisted living for about 45 days. The facility is beautiful and in a convenient location. The staff was excellent, everybody's very helpful, and we had no problems with them. The food was also good. They had music every week and they had a lot of games that they played. My mom didn't participate, but they had them available."

"I recently moved my father in and i can say that i am very happy we did. He had been living in another facility and we continued to have issues. things would improve for a little while and then things would go back to the way they were. The staff are attentive and excited to see that my father has already begun to make new friends. I almost didn't go ahead with the move because i thought a new move would be too much on him. He seems happier now than he has in a really long time. "

"My mother is in Allegro so I’ve been there a lot. It’s very clean, there is no aroma, and the food is not what you have at home, but good. The staff is very nice, and very attentive. It has all levels of care, my mom has the highest level, and she has somebody with her 24 hours a day. There are lots of activities, trips, performances, bridge, movies, and they’re varied and nice. They really don’t allow the patients to sit in their rooms and not participate in life. They make them get out and do things. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place. My mom is happy and comfortable there. "

"Westminster Woods On Julington Creek was an older facility, and all the apartment buildings were one story. It was a nice place, and they had the nicest apartments. They were bigger than most of the other places, and they opened up to an outside courtyard area. It was on a big campus and there were lakes and a river there. If you wanted to go out for a nature walk or just go look at the ducks on the river or whatever, that was a nice place there. They had a dining area, the medical offices there, crafts, and a library. It was a very spread out campus, so you would have to be able to be very mobile to be able to walk everywhere. But they had extended golf carts that they used to shuttle people around."

"I'm happy to be here at The Meetinghouse at Collins Cove. Everything is fine. I prepare my own meals. The staff in the office are very helpful and polite. They answer my questions to the best of their ability. There's a swimming pool and a sauna. There are activities in the community room occasionally. The upkeep is excellent and the prices are comparable."

"I toured the independent living of The Coves At River Garden. Everything looked new. I believe all of the structures were brick. There was parking available at each unit. It was very attractive. I was in the lobby for a good while, and I got a chance to see people going back and forth to different activities. I saw the restaurant, and that was about it. In terms of upkeep and cleanliness, it was top-notch and very attractive. The staff who assisted me there was very helpful. They were top-notch."

"The Marcis Pointe has an absolutely gorgeous accommodation. It was built two years ago, so it's brand new and beautiful. My mom's apartment is very nice. "

"I toured Discovery Village at Deerwood. I like the options as far as the meals. I thought the atmosphere was good or better than the other places that I visited. All of them were very accommodating and friendly. I felt that this would offer more value for your money. The food was good. The fitness program was good. The activity seemed to be excellent. They had a director for the activities. The facility was new, very fresh, and clean."

"Inspirations at TownCenter is brand new. It's very resort feeling (almost like cruise ship type), where everything's accessible. They have the dining, a little food bar, and a little bar. The rooms were very new. They have an elegant bar. They have rooms for couples. They all have a full refrigerator, a full oven, a full island with a sink, and a washer and dryer in each room. It's definitely independent living more than it is assisted living. They have a full restaurant, where they can eat and or get snacks and things. It's definitely an inspiration to somebody who still got a lot of life to want to do something or be active or socialize. Not to say that we did not see people with walkers and with oxygen tanks; they just didn't need the memory care or the assisted part of it. You can tell the lady there, Isabella, has been in the business forever. She told me she had been in the business since she was 13. It's easy for her to communicate and all that. She's topnotch."

"I like Riverside Presbyterian House because everybody seems to be friendly. The one-bedroom apartments are nice. And it has a nice view of the river. There's no downside because everybody seems pretty nice. I only connected with two staffers, but they were pretty helpful. What I saw of the building was really nice. Everybody was very kind. The layouts are very nice because you get an almost full kitchen and a full bedroom. The living room and dining room area is kind of smaller, but that's all I needed that's why I'm downsizing."
