"When i volunteered at this facility i had the privilege to get a tour of the kitchen area. Which is very important in defining the health risks for the residents, and everything looked clean and organized, also the workers were using their thermometers, we played Bingo with the residents, and had service on Sundays, the nurses seem to be nice, "most of them". I just wish there was some more activities to do like other different games for them to play, but overall the place is clean, and very friendly whit residents with special needs like diabetics, and people with Alzheimers, we went also to read books to them, and I had a great time whit all the resident which i miss very much i hope to be able to have more time to volunteer in the future. To me the nurses were very responsible with the care that hey were giving, and had a lot of knowledge of their job,as good moral values, and not neglecting or not paying attention to the needs of the residents. "

"I wanted to take the time to thank everyone at Heartland of Orange Park for taking such good care of my husband. He had many issues that they had to handle daily and they were competent, caring, loving and absolutely wonderful to him. Everyone in the facility went above and beyond to make his experience an exceptional stay. I have to admit I was very tough on them but they treated me with the utmost respect and truly understood that my goal and theirs was the same - to get him better. thank you again for all of your excellent care and support. "The staff at this facility seemed very friendly and helpful towards the residents. I witnessed several students from a nearby private Catholic school also partake in activities with several of the residents. The students were singing a wide variety of songs and playing games using balloons with the residents of the facility. I also saw several games set up for the residents such as checkers and parchisi. I also saw several drawings done for the residents which were probably also done by some of the students from the private school. The exterior of the facility seemed very welcoming, and the landscaping on the exterior appeared to be very well attended to. The interior seemed very spacious, especially in the recreation area, which was where I was most of the time. Overall, I feel that this is a good facility where the staff genuinely care about the residents. I would definitely say that it was a favorable environment, although I have not really visited any similar facilities anywhere before. "

"My husband stayed at Middleburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It was OK, and I can't say anything bad about it. It's a clean place and there's no odors. They provide good care and have good food. They have a food serving area right in the middle of the facility. You could smell the food all over. The kitchen was there, too. They also had a nice activity room. I think that was a new facility, too, and everything was in good shape and very modern. The staff was fine. He was there for physical therapy, but he was getting sick from high calcium in his body, so his rehab didn't have any effect on him while he was there. He just couldn't do it because he was too weak and too sick. When they found out the level of his calcium, they immediately took him to the ER."

"The rooms are large with good space. Large tv in. rooms. Very clean center.Housekeeping mops and cleans everyday. I have had 4admissions to this facility because of the good therapy staff that really care for the patients. The food has greatly improved.The cnas really care for their patients. I am very great ful to have had Evon and Michelinea as my caregivers"

"I visited Westminster Woods last month and the facility ended up being the one that interested me the most. I am satisfied with what I saw. The apartments seemed okay. It's a spacious. The kitchen was really good. The environment seemed to be a very friendly place. The residents there started treating like family and I thought that was important. They seemed to have a lot of activities like bingo and card games. The staff seemed to be very friendly and helpful. I ate there a couple of times and I am okay with the food. The entrance fee is a little more reasonable than many of the other places. "

"The staff at Beauclerc Manor was very nice and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions, so that is very good. The facility was very clean, and it was small. It has a nice little area outside where the residents can sit and read. My dad doesn't like a lot of crowds, so he would fit in well there. They do a lot of activities, and so I would recommend this facility. "

"The Adult Day Program they offer for day clients is amazing, and i would not trust any other facility to stimulate my father's mind and provide for his safety as much as i do River Garden. The staff in the ADP genuinely care about the clients (our loved ones) and are there because they care, not just because they need a paycheck. "

"The person who accommodated us was great. She was the reason that we really considered it. She was really helpful and really nice. The rooms were small, and they had no private rooms. They even had rooms with four people in them. My husband would start out in a room with two other people, but she said that when one comes available with only one other person, she would move him. They take them outdoors and fishing sometimes. They had a dining room, and the residents seemed happy enough. Signature was recommended to me, and once we get him there and if it was working for him, I would recommend it. "

"I have had several friends who lived in Taylor Care Center and stayed there until the end of their lives. Most of their family members said they were so pleased with the care they provide; that's why I chose it for my husband, too. He's been there since January 27, and it's been a good experience. The rooms are kind of drab. I think they just need to freshen them up, but the staff has been excellent, responsive, and professional. In fact, he's getting a manicure right now, so he's really happy. He has had a few meals, and so far he said they tasted pretty good."

"My mom has been placed at West Jacksonville Health. At that time when we were looking for a facility, they were primarily available. They were able to show us that they are very caring. The facility is close to our home and it really worked out for us. The place is very welcoming and always clean. It's very nice and I'm very satisfied with all the medical and other care that she is getting. The staff are very nice and they are good with what they do. Mom is in a room for two and it's pretty good for her. She is happy with the food. The dining area is big and it opens out to a screened porch, it's very nice and appealing. With their activities, they have the normal stuff like bingo, entertainment, religious services; pretty varied. "

"The people were really friendly at Heartland Health Care Center. Their rooms are nice and clean. It has a friendly atmosphere, and it is very clean as well. They have very helpful assistants. "

"I visited Life Care Center Of Jacksonville, but they have a waiting list. The place is pretty nice, although they need more staff members just like every place. It's a newer place with very clean amenities. They're mostly a rehab. There's very few rooms, like only around five. I tried their food when my in-laws were in there, and I would rate the food a four. They even have two cute ice cream parlors; it was the cutest thing."
