"I've been very pleased with Solaris HealthCare Palatka. The staff has been very helpful because this is all new to me and very overwhelming. They have guided me and assisted me the whole way through trying to get mom set up in a room. She went in originally as a rehab patient for her fall. They helped me walk through all the paperwork, and they've been like angels for me. Her room is very nice. They've got private rooms, but she's in a shared room, which is very big even with them being shared. The beds aren't side by side, they're foot to foot across the room, so there's plenty of privacy. The staff is on top of everything, and they take really good care of her. She's clean, she eats well, and the food is great. It's a very nice and clean facility, and it does not smell like urine when you walk in. It feels like you're going into an apartment complex. They have Bingo and puzzles. They've got rooms where they can watch TV, listen to music, or get on the computer. They've got patios where they can go out and visit with families. I was very impressed. It's up-to-date with today's codes."

"My grandfather spent nearly two months at Lakewood and I was there nearly every day to personally view the day to days at Lakewood. Lakewood is an excellent facility with qualified, skilled nursing staff that is very caring. From their receptionist, to the dining staff, to the administration, Lakewood goes above and beyond to make the residents and family feel welcome and well taken care of. My grandfather went into hospice while at Lakewood and passed away there. The staff made a very sad situation for our family, comfortable and peaceful. Thank you, Lakewood staff! I would highly recommend Lakewood for your loved ones. "

"It was ridiculous. I was really upset with Governors Creek. I was so disappointed to see my father. He was there for a week, and he had already been sent to the emergency room twice. They were not watching my dad, and I already informed them about his condition. His bed was not safe. There was no alarm, and it had no railing. He had no TV. It was empty. I wanted to send him home that time, but I could not. It's a very old building. I feel bad for those people who were in there. They were not friendly people as well. I've been there today because to take my dad's belongings, and they cannot even find it. They sent me to a room that looked like a mountain of junk belongings of patients. "

"My younger brother started in the hospital and transferred to ARU. The staff was wonderful. PT and OT staff exceptional! He said the food was very good as well. I don’t normally do reviews unless it’s bad but his experience there was excellent. He was there for almost 2 weeks. They established what caused his problem. He was able to bring home what he learned to help him in the future. "

"I was recently released from Moultrie. Knowing I was going to be there for considerable time I had a problem accepting it. But by the time I was discharged, I had become very comfortable in the facility. This was partly due to the wonderful nursing staff. So many wonderful nurses. The physical therapy that I had was outstanding. Beth was my primary physical therapist. She is very smart and informative of the process she was putting me on. Dorothy was my occupational therapist and supported my treatment that Beth recommended The whole physical therapy department worked so well together. Wonderful therapists. I only have good recollections of my stay, that initially I feared.. Thank you to everybody who helped me.. can "

"My husband stayed at Penney Retirement Community and it was excellent. I would highly recommend it. He went in there at night from the hospital because he was discharged late. I got there the next morning and the staff came into the room to personally meet me. They were just kind and considerate as could be and granted our every wish. He got three good meals a day that he really enjoyed, and he got bathed as scheduled. It was really a good place. Plus, they had a good physical therapy department. The pavilion is the building that he was in. There's nursing home, assisted living, care center, memory care, and physical therapy there. He was in physical therapy. It was very good care. There was a lady in his room cleaning every day. He had a big bathroom. It was really, really nice. The staff were popping in quite frequently to see how he was and giving him his medicine or helping him to the bathroom. At that point, he wasn't able to walk because he couldn't even stand. They really helped him in every way he needed. I wasn't there every day, but the food I saw was very good looking. If it wasn't good my husband would say so, but he enjoyed every meal. Medicare and TRICARE took care of it. If you had to pay for it on your own, it's $400 a day. They had transportation for him. The staff listens to you. The place is very clean, and the pavilion is relatively new and very modern. It's a community all by itself. They even have their own post office there."
