I've been very pleased with Solaris HealthCare Palatka. The staff has been very helpful because this is all new to me and very overwhelming. They have guided me and assisted me the whole way through trying to get mom set up in a room. She went in originally as a rehab patient for her fall. They helped me walk through all the paperwork, and they've been like angels for me. Her room is very nice. They've got private rooms, but she's in a shared room, which is very big even with them being shared. The beds aren't side by side, they're foot to foot across the room, so there's plenty of privacy. The staff is on top of everything, and they take really good care of her. She's clean, she eats well, and the food is great. It's a very nice and clean facility, and it does not smell like urine when you walk in. It feels like you're going into an apartment complex. They have Bingo and puzzles. They've got rooms where they can watch TV, listen to music, or get on the computer. They've got patios where they can go out and visit with families. I was very impressed. It's up-to-date with today's codes.

My husband was at Palatka Health Care Center for rehab. They were very nice, very thorough, and very professional. It was very clean. I was impressed. They had bingo and cards. They have a unit all set up for Alzheimer's, but there's no space available for him there now. We had lunch there and it was very good. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and there were lots of them. He was there for a week.

This facility was a super clean and up beat facility...the staff were more than accommodating in answering questions about my mother's care...and the food was very appealing as well and the patient's had a variety of choices.
