"I think the staff is OK. They are knowledgeable. The rooms are nice. They are a little spacious. They are not the cleanest, but they are OK. They have a lot of activities. They have bingo, a weight room, and arts & crafts. They have a lot of stuff. I like that it is convenient and reasonable. "

"When we visited the community, I found them very helpful. They provided a lot of options as far as I can tell. You have to be a member of the Moose community for 15 years in order to qualify for them to take your assets and stuff and then she can live there for the rest of her life. Their rooms are very spacious for a single room for someone. It has a lot of closet space. You can put as many clothes in for the season that you're in but you have storage in another area for your other clothes. It's actually bigger than a lot of rooms that we saw. The facility is right on the St. John's river so the view is good.They have a lot of transportation. Every 15 minutes there's a golf cart or other transportation around the facility since it's pretty good sized. They have a pool and a movie theater. They have a church inside and there's service every Sunday. They also have different levels of care. They have independent living, assisted living and then there's an Alzheimer's unit with many stages on it. "

"I am living in Vicar's Landing. I chose it because it serves my needs, it is ready when I need it, and it is a five-star place. I can't be happier. It is nice for walking, and it is a lovely place. It has a nice parking facility. I don't eat here a lot, but the food is very good. I have a four-room apartment. It is absolutely first class and nice. I have two bedrooms and two baths, and I have weekly linen changes. I don't have everything. So, if I don't have it, they can provide it for me. "

"I found Westminster and want to move there next year. Its close to my daughter, and they have financial clout to do what I want to do. I want a two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. They have access to a gun club, and the dining area is fine. You get credits that you can use for either breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The dining facility was good, and had a bar, so they had everything I want. Im going there next week for a barbeque, and to get a better feel of the people there. They have a full nursing staff, a doctor onsite, access to a golf course, a workout facility, and access to another facility three blocks away which has a full complement of workout equipment I need."

"We're happy here at Penney Retirement. We came here to get closer to Mayo Clinic, and I had radical surgery right after we moved in, but the people have been very nice. We are very pleased with our apartment. We have access to a lot of programs, we eat at least 3 times a week from the cafeteria, and we have some medical facilities here also. We have pretty full service with amenities. We have what we call Commons Building where they have a big round pool and a fitness center, a library, and a classroom. We do have our bank in the commons and also a coffee shop where people could meet and have coffee. But they have a lot of programs, and we are going to have our Christmas parade here in a week or so. We are in our 80's now, and they approached us to downsize that we may need to go into assisted living. We have our own garage for our car, and it is going to be a really big adjustment for us to go into assisted living. We can come and go as we please, we go to our doctors' offices in our car, we go get our groceries, go shopping, and you can leave and go visit relatives. We have everything we need. "
