My mother is in independent living at Allegro. She has been there for two months now, and it's excellent. They offer everything we ask for and more, so we're very pleased. The staff is excellent. They have apartments there. My mother has selected an apartment, but they also have studios. Her apartment has a beautiful view of the pool, the golf course and the lake, so it's perfect. They have different rooms for everybody. They have dining rooms, activities, arts and crafts, a full-blown theater, transportation to shopping areas, and there's a doctor on Wednesdays. There's a menu in their dining room, which is outstanding. If you don't want to go to the dining room, they deliver it to your room, all you have to do is call. It's superb, it's great. It's like a Ritz Carlton Hotel. They clean the room once a week. They have a spa, an exercise room, a sauna, a beautiful library, and a beauty shop. I haven't tried the meals, but my mother is very happy with it.

We went to Allegro Senior Living. They have a beautiful fountain when you walk in. It's a three-story building. It was clean, and the services were about the same. They offered amenities. They let you go into a room to see what's available. The rooms were practically all the same. They had large rooms, medium-sized rooms, and mini condos or something like that. They're all clean, and everything was nice. The people were nice, too. They had a library, a swimming pool, and a place where you can play games and stuff like that. It's really neat. The dining area was easy to get to. If you want something special, you can always ask for it.

My mom will be moving into the Allegro Senior Living next month. She thinks it's lovely. The people were warm and personable, and it offered everything she wanted. We toured the assisted living. The rooms were great size, and they seemed brand new. They had very nice dining area and a very good selection. The amenities were wonderful. She's going to be very happy there. They have a salon. They have a pool, and they have anything you would need. I've only met one person on the staff, but they seemed fine. The place is in fabulous condition, and it's almost brand new.

We are currently in Allegro Senior Living and we're disturbed by the lack of communication. They have rules and then they change the rules, but they don't tell us. The food is very poor, it's going down. We are just worried about the nutrition that we are not getting. They were good at the beginning, then they started pulling out, and then the food became worse. Some of the activities went downhill. They're doing their best because of the pandemic, but they still need to consider the fact that it's difficult on us as residents. We have a head nurse who is not very compassionate or very kind, and she's pretty much rule-driven, and if you break the rules she does not come and tell you kindly that whatever cannot be done. I know we have lots of people here that have complained about the food and the head nurse. We like our room very much because we have a two-bedroom. The one problem we have is I do our own laundry and I have to run back and forth down to the laundry room and that is very inconvenient. Because we are assisted, we can't move into the independent living where they have their own washer and dryer, and that is very frustrating. The building is brand new, it's in good condition. The CNAs and the servers are wonderful. We just had a turnover and we have a new executive director, and she is just getting to know the community; she is doing her best. She is very kind and very nice. We also have a good activities director. It's just the head nurse that is the problem. The grounds around here bother me. We are in between two roads and the traffic noise is just awful. When we sit out on the balcony we can't hear ourselves think because of the traffic. I just wish we had a different setting and that's why we have been looking.

Allegro is a very nice facility in Orlando. It's brand new and the studio apartment that my wife got has never been lived in. You really don't know you're in an assisted living facility except for in a few places where it's evident, but it's very nice. The staff all seemed very caring and knowledgeable about her problem. The ones that I talked to seemed to be the type of people that I would want my wife to be cared by. It's beautiful from the outside. It doesn't look like a facility at all. It could look like a condo unit. They have a calendar full of activities. They take people out on bus trips in Orlando, they have games, and they have people that are trying to keep the residents doing something all the time to keep them out of their rooms as much as possible.
