"We visited Brookdale Vero Beach South. We hit it just before lunchtime, and there was a lot of activity. It looked like the patients there, the clientele, were being taken care of. It was fairly clean, and the facilities were in good shape. The gal that took us on the tour was very thorough. She did a good job of explaining and answering all our questions. They have assisted living up front, and they've got memory care in the back; we looked at both facilities. They did kind of a preliminary review, and they suggested that my wife would be going to assisted living. That would be a good place for her, for now. There were two people on the tour, and they were both very good. They did offer, they were having lunch, but we didn't have time for that. The people were lined up to go have lunch. It must be OK. They have a courtyard. I wasn't aware of any balconies. I thought everything was one floor. We didn't go up any stairs or elevator or anything like that, but they did have a courtyard, and it was well-maintained."

"We are very pleased. We feel very comfortable having my mother-in-law there. We just liked it the best and it is close to her home here. So, it was a good fit. It is a very beautiful place that overlooks the river. It's high quality and the staff provides excellent service. We had lunch there and the food was very good. I think the value for the money is very good as well."

"We toured and like the two-bedrooms. They don't have any three-bedrooms. All they have are two-bedrooms, and the bedrooms are very large, so that appealed to us. We had the new director tour us, and she was very pleasant and informative. A lot of their activities, other than going to the mall or taking you to the doctors', were exercises and things like that. They have periodic social ice cream things. The cleanliness was very good. The master bedroom had a king-sized bed and still had plenty of room to walk around the bed."

"Brookdale Melbourne was very homey, and the people in it were very friendly and outgoing. It was very clean. They seemed very caring. My father was very happy with the food. They had a very nice garden area. It was very cheerful and upbeat. The residents there seemed very happy. "

"Touring the community I felt welcomed by staff and the Residents were enjoying entertainment in the living room but we saw other Residents doing other things through out the tour. Seemed like 'home' to them not staged or regimented. Staff knew Residents by name and were willing to speak to me about their home. "

"They're very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and helpful to me, so I can rest assured that my parents will be taken care of well. They've only been at Brookdale West Melbourne since October 6, and I've been down three times already because I am in New Jersey. Every time I've been there, they're clean and well-fed, look great, and in better health than when I brought them there due to their physical therapy. It is more than I expected, and I'm very pleased. They're fabulous. They make it more like a home, and the staff feel like they're part of the home, not employees, like they're one big happy family. They have a nice dining area, several common areas, screened-in rooms, a very nice center with in a horseshoe shape, and it's beautifully landscaped. Their apartment is just two rooms with a small TV area and a kitchenette with brand-new cabinets and appliances. They have a bedroom and, within the bedroom, a large bathroom that is wheelchair accessible, and a great shower with a drain all on one level so that my dad has no problem getting in and out. It's perfect. Their apartment is located in the best spot in the whole building, so I'm very happy. "

"We went to Veterans and Seniors Care First. The seniors looked very comfortable. Everything that they did, they did it in a very professional way. My friend's grandparents liked being there, and that's a good thing. It was clean, the room was clean, everything about it was excellent. I would like to have my mom going there, but it's a little too pricey. When we went to the cafeteria, everyone was so happy there. They were eating, and they said the food was good."

"My father is in Zon Beachside, and it's been good. It's a good facility, and he loves the food. They have everything in terms of activities. Her room is good, and the communication is good so far. This facility is an age-in-place facility. This place has an ECC license, so he can age in place."

"We are very positive with Brookdale Eau Gallie. We had the opportunity again to interact with the residents, but they don’t have memory care there, and their cost was a little bit higher than the other Brookdale. I think the amenities and activities were the same with the other Brookdale, but we just felt that the atmosphere and environment at the other Brookdale was more suitable for my mom. "

"What I liked best about this place was the attitude. We were given a tour by Chris, and he did a beautiful job. He was very welcoming and obviously was interested, because I had several callbacks from him wanting to know if we had any questions. The place felt very homey, too, so they certainly offer the most personal and best care. It's also very important to my husband that there is a gym, and I wanted an activity calendar; all of that was available. The room was adequate and better than most, the dining room was very nice, and their food selections were varied and interesting. The activities were quite organized, and they had multiple offerings during the week, as well as transportation to shopping."
