"What I liked least about Greenwood Place is that it did not offer one-bedroom apartments. Everything was what I would call a suite. They showed me where they eat, and they showed me the rooms that were available, but I didn't like them because they were not what I call rooms. They were not apartments. It is not that they didn't have any one-bedrooms available, but it was never built with one-bedrooms. The facility itself seemed fine. I only interacted with the salesperson, and he was fine. What I saw looked fine. They're willing to work with families on the price, which a lot of people need because it's expensive. However, I am not considering it because they did not have a one-bedroom."

"I love Zon Beachside. It was a very good and thorough tour. The staff took us all over the whole facility. We saw the rooms, the residents, and we even went on the memory care floor, and it looked really nice. The amount of nursing type help for the residents was nice. The weekly schedule of events looked pretty good. The dining room was very nice also. The studios had a kitchenette and a nice bathroom. They had movie nights, ice cream socials, a bar that they had happy hour at, and religious activities. Most of their rooms had a street view, but the garden view rooms were very nice."

"I think it was a wonderful facility. It's very nicely decorated, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. But my dad just didn't fit in there very well and he would get confused as to where his room was. They bring in musical artists every Friday afternoon, they have chair aerobics, a book club, and outings. They also have a swimming pool, a clubhouse where they do other activities, like arts and crafts, and even happy hour on Friday afternoons. They had a variety of things to do. I think they even have a Bridge club where they play cards. My mother-in-law is there. "

"My parents moved into A Place Like Home. It's just a small facility and they're sharing a room in the facility. It seemed like the administrative staff was very caring and interested in trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. It's just a large, single-family home that has been converted into an assisted living facility. They've got four to six rooms, I'm not sure how big it was. It was very clean when I was there. They were very caring. The staff was going to try to have an outing with my father. I had spoken to the administrator about it as well, and they were going to try to get him out. The administrator worked with me on the monthly fee and we were able to come to an amicable conclusion on that, which I felt was very fair. It's not a large facility. So what they do is they bring in folks on a staggered basis to do certain things, like from what my understanding was, there will be a doctor on-site once, once every three weeks. There will be a nurse on-site once every three weeks. They have beauty care type things, for haircuts and things like that once every couple of weeks, so they're bringing people in to do the services as opposed to having somebody on site all the time because it's not a large facility."

"I checked out both independent and assisted living at Grand Villa of Palm Bay. What we drove up there certainly was beautiful to look at. It would be a very nice home to come to, to live. It looked very upper class. It looked very clean. It is right on the water, which makes it very pristine also. The grounds and everything outside were immaculate. When I came in I met the lady at the desk. My daughter was with me. She verified our appointment. We met the young lady that was taking us on the tour, and we went to lunch first. There was nothing special prepared for us. We were given the same menu that everybody else had, which was their daily menu and also whatever the special of the day was at lunchtime. My daughter had the special, and I chose just something off of the regular menu. I was very satisfied. The food quality was excellent. The portions and everything were really appropriate. They didn't overfeed you, and they certainly didn't starve you. The staff was extremely accommodating. I enjoyed them very much."

"The rooms at The Brennity At Melbourne were not as large as the other facility. The price was out of our range. The dining area was very nice. We had light lunch there, and the food was very nice. However, I don’t think the staff was quite as good as the staff from the other facility. We got interrupted a couple of times. I don’t think that should have happened when we were trying to discuss things. "

"My friend moved into the assisted living of Palm Cottages a month ago. When we initially met with the sales rep, we were told a couple of things that were not true. The staff and the nurses have been great, though. My friend has told me she enjoyed the food, but they serve a lot of pork."

"Alura Senior Living is the place we like the best. The facility was very clean. They have a lot of activities. The rooms are a good size for an assisted living facility. It almost looks like a hotel. It's beautiful when you go in, but it's costly. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, pleasant, patient, and explained everything to us more than once. The rooms were very nice. We looked at the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom. They had a kitchen area that was very nice. It had room for a kitchen table and to put a TV in that same space. You could put a couch in there. They had huge bathrooms. It was very clean, up-to-date, had plenty of room, and was set up for handicapped people with bars. They had balconies. I had a meal there, and that was delicious. They serve three meals a day, and then you have choices. They have 30 or 40 more items on the menu. They were playing bingo the first time we toured there. They have musicals and happy hours. They have a beauty parlor and an exercise room. They do physical therapy there. They have three nurses on board, and a doctor comes in."

Our staff is very caring and we bring all the services to the facility to make it easier for rthe residents and loved ones. We have a podiatrist, primary care physicians, x-ray, blood work, podiatry services and pre-packaged medication that is delivered every day sometimes twice a day. We have an electronic medication service with the most up to date technology. We can accommodate any resident that meet critiera. La casa is the best place for your loved one. "I love The Promenade. It's built in a courtyard style. They're right on a very busy highway. All of the hallways had windows on both sides. None of the other places were that bright and light, and I think that makes a real difference in these hallways. Out of all of the places we visited, this was the only place where residents stopped us and asked us if we were looking for a family member. They told us how much they would love it there. We were fed there an entire meal. They have the two special choices of the day. My friend got the chili, and I got the mahi. It was excellent. It is so easy to overcook mahi, but it was spot on. The chef came out himself. There's dessert. Then on the other side of the menu, there are like 15 items that are always available if you don't like the two offerings. The food was so good. They had a private dining room, which was where we ate in. You can hold family parties there. I liked the fact that as long as you're of an adult age (my grandson is 18), any one of us can come and get mom if we are on the list. It's a beautiful facility. The entire place is brand new. They had the best gyms I've seen anywhere with multiple choices of equipment. They had physical therapists in house."

"We happened to be in the region searching for a suitable assisted living facility for my friend's mother - so stopped in to visit the Florida Shores of Melbourne 1. Many of their family members live in the area, so this would be an ideal place for her to live. The outer grounds looked well-kept and pleasant. The staff greeted us and seemed very warm and friendly - which is the most important thing to their family. The foyer was nicely decorated and seemed homey. The communal rooms were all very nice, with a variety of activities to choose from such as reading, watching films and TV and playing games. They also had rooms to reserve for private parties. The activity calendar features many healthy and stimulating activities. We liked that the staff encourages participation and tries to make everything interesting for its residents. They have outings to local libraries, events, culture, restaurants, shopping and athletic events. They also take suggestions to update the schedule as much as possible. The dining areas were nicely designed and warm. Residents may choose from a variety of foods from an extensive menu. There were also places for the seniors to visit with families, as well. The dietician and chef changes up the menu to keep it interesting and encourage resident to make suggestions. The food looked deliciously prepared, as well as nutritious. The private living spaces were all clean, well-kept and conveniently designed. They take the time to personalize to each resident's tastes. All of the seniors looked very well cared for and seemed quite content living within this environment. They all had the level of care they need in a very safe place to live. "
