"I live at Greenwood Place. The place has a comfortable room and big restroom with step down shower. They clean the room and do my laundry. They also hand out medications. The dining room is lovely and the food is really good. The outside is huge with places to sit outside. The activities director is awesome. She keeps us busy with numerous activities. Everyone's favorite is BINGO!!!!"

"What I like about Zon Beachside is they have lots of staff and they have good communication. They update me. Like anytime they need to let me know about anything that's going on with my mother they give me a call, whether or not she refuses food or she doesn't, like showering at night or versus the morning. So, communication is a great thing. They have lots of activities. They have excursions where they go outside of the building, like shopping. They have live music at dinner, reading, bingo, and cards. It's a little more expensive than others, but it's a good value for the money. They can have food delivered to the room if they desire. They have round the clock care. They wear a call button around their neck or on their wrists if they need anything. There are screened in porches so the residents can go on the porch and sit and enjoy the fresh air. They have quick service. The telephone and televisions were hooked up quickly. My mother is in an efficiency apartment, Most of them are one0bedroom efficiencies, and it's a good size."

"I moved into Glenbrooke Senior Living. My meals are all supplied. They clean the apartment once a week. They drive me to any doctor's appointments. It's a good place. Right now, I have a plan that says I get two meals a day. It works out well because I am not an early riser, and by the time they want to serve breakfast, I'm just getting out of bed. The apartment size is beautiful. It's just like moving into a regular apartment. I have a 1,200-square-foot apartment. I have a beautiful little patio. I don't pay for anything here except my TV. I just moved from across the hall. My initial apartment had very dark granite, and I liked a lot of light around me. Everything else about the apartment was perfect. It was clean. Washer and dryer are supplied. You do your laundry right in your apartment. Anything you could think of, they have there for you, including a microwave and a gas stove. It's wonderful and has a large pantry for someone who won't have to cook anymore. The food is very satisfactory. It's not gourmet, but it's not being served in a high school cafeteria either. There's more than one building. For the main building, where our dining area is, I would give it a five, but for the outbuildings we live in, those of us who can do a little more care, I'm going to give it a four because they are not doing the hallways as well as they should. Some things need updating or at least some reporting; you just shouldn't be satisfied with what's there if it's not right. Every hour, something is going on until seven o'clock at night. I enjoyed all the ones that I attended."

"My parents moved into A Place Like Home. It's just a small facility and they're sharing a room in the facility. It seemed like the administrative staff was very caring and interested in trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. It's just a large, single-family home that has been converted into an assisted living facility. They've got four to six rooms, I'm not sure how big it was. It was very clean when I was there. They were very caring. The staff was going to try to have an outing with my father. I had spoken to the administrator about it as well, and they were going to try to get him out. The administrator worked with me on the monthly fee and we were able to come to an amicable conclusion on that, which I felt was very fair. It's not a large facility. So what they do is they bring in folks on a staggered basis to do certain things, like from what my understanding was, there will be a doctor on-site once, once every three weeks. There will be a nurse on-site once every three weeks. They have beauty care type things, for haircuts and things like that once every couple of weeks, so they're bringing people in to do the services as opposed to having somebody on site all the time because it's not a large facility."

"I checked out both independent and assisted living at Grand Villa of Palm Bay. What we drove up there certainly was beautiful to look at. It would be a very nice home to come to, to live. It looked very upper class. It looked very clean. It is right on the water, which makes it very pristine also. The grounds and everything outside were immaculate. When I came in I met the lady at the desk. My daughter was with me. She verified our appointment. We met the young lady that was taking us on the tour, and we went to lunch first. There was nothing special prepared for us. We were given the same menu that everybody else had, which was their daily menu and also whatever the special of the day was at lunchtime. My daughter had the special, and I chose just something off of the regular menu. I was very satisfied. The food quality was excellent. The portions and everything were really appropriate. They didn't overfeed you, and they certainly didn't starve you. The staff was extremely accommodating. I enjoyed them very much."

"We toured The Brennity at Melbourne. We had breakfast there, and we've eaten dinner there in the past with other people who live there. The lady who took us around did a great job. We talked to the lady at breakfast. She'd come and attend to us even though it was a buffet, and was very attentive. We talked with the person who did the pool stuff and took care of the pool classes. The outside is nice. If you go outside the gates, there are sidewalks you can walk on and go to some places; if not, you can take the little van, and they will take you to appointments. The common areas are very nice, and the rooms are a good size. We found two that would be perfectly fine. One had one bedroom, and the other had two bedrooms. They had a two-bedroom that was a little bit different from the configuration that we liked. They had a little area outside the kitchen that you could use, like an alcove to put a desk or something in. We saw some good things there."

"I toured Palm Cottages. They were very nice people. They're just as good as the other facility, but they're not quite as close to me here. Other than that, they're about the same. The facilities were very clean. They had dedicated people for each little cottage. The staff members were great. They had a lot of activities going on."

"We toured Alura Senior Living. There were a lot of things I liked about it. It's newer. It was built in 2021. It is very fresh. I liked the wider halls, which were bright. The artwork was bright. I like the layout of the rooms, particularly the room with the balcony. It laid out well for my stepmom's needs. Something else that I like a lot is in their dining hall. They do not have assigned seats, which is good if you want to go and meet other people in the dining environment. I also like how they do their dining. They have set times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but they also have times that you can come down at any time and select from a different part of the menu so that you can eat on your schedule, not necessarily the facility's strict schedule. So, I like that flexibility. The staff was very pleasant and engaging. They liked working there. You could tell it from their demeanor and expressions, and you could tell in their eyes that they enjoyed it. So, everything with the staff was very, very good. They have a central courtyard with a pool with waterfalls with koi fish. They have some raised gardening plots for the residents to use either for flowers or vegetables, so the facility itself offers a lot. The overall atmosphere was certainly inviting. Everything was bright and cheery."

"The tour we had went really well. The facility was pretty nice. It was very cozy, very clean, and very nice. The people were very attentive. Cindy was one that gave us the information about the financing situation and everything. The rooms were pretty big and spacious. So, it's pretty good for what we were looking for. The menu looked really good, too. They were playing bingo and they had a nice library, and they seemed really happy."

"The Promenade was very nice and very clean, and the people were friendly. It was a nice tour, but it was overpriced for me. The place is only four or five years old. They had a salon and a little courtyard. The staff during the tour was very good, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The place was fairly new. Everything was in good shape. They got a nurse there. It seemed like they took very good care of the people that were there. I got to see other residents, not from the memory care unit, but residents who could get in and out around the grounds and stuff."
