I visited this facility

Hibiscus Court looked like it was very well run and thought out. The memory care room was very small. It's a two-person room. I was disappointed that the physical therapy would be conducted in the rooms themselves, which were not big enough probably. The lady who gave the tour was very calm, and thorough, and answered almost all of my questions and she got back to me with answers. She had a good follow-up. It's a small, nicely run place, and the dining area was fine. It was adequate. The interior was excellent but the garden area needed some work.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Currently, my mom is in Hibiscus Court. It's fine. It's a friendly environment. All the staff are very accommodating. My mom enjoys it there. She has friends and stuff like that. They have activities. When my mom first moved in there, I stayed with her in our room for like a week. I ate meals there and everything was good. They have an activities associate, his name is Fernando, and he is excellent. They take them to local concerts, they take them to the mall, and they take them on scenic rides. Within the facility, they do bingo, which they all tend to love. They do like balloon volleyball. They've done table hockey and coloring. They have a salon there on site and they can do hair. It's for men and women. They paint nails. Each day they have a different theme like Crazy Hair Day and Western Day. However, the activities associates also drive. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, he will take them to their appointments. So if he's out, my mom told me some days they didn't have activities, so it's kind of a little bit disappointing. They need to work on keeping it consistent. However, they have laundry once a week and apartment cleaning every day, so that's kind of nice, too.

My father has moved into Hibiscus Court. I had visited probably 10 different facilities, and it was a good feeling when I walked into Hibiscus Court. I noticed how the nurses acted and what have you and everybody was as sweet as could be. We're really happy with the facility. My father's room is nice, wide, and open. There's plenty of room. It's comfortable. You don't want too much furniture, but it's a very comfortable space. The food was very good. I've only done dinner and that was grilled ham and cheese and salad. The salad was very good; it wasn't just a pile of lettuce. The second time was a turkey and cheese croissant. The croissants were fresh. I think the food is fresh, and the vegetables are fresh. They have a lobby out front where everybody gathers before they go to dinner and lunch. It's kind of funny because everybody's there at 4:30, it's like everybody is ready for dinner. There's a circle room where they would host church. They have gardens. There's one on either side of the building. Everyone of the staff is wonderful. In terms of the value of money, they're the most reasonable and the staff is very good.

I visited this facility

Hibiscus Court was very clean. It was close to home (to where my friend was already living), and all the staff members were excellent. They've answered all our questions, helped us with paperwork, and helped us with everything. They will accommodate my friend with everything once he's there. They have a salon, they do your laundry, they take them on little field trips to the store, and they have in-house doctors.

I visited this facility

I was at Hibiscus Court for a one-time visit. The place was beautiful, but for me, it was 45 minutes away, so it wasn't convenient for me to travel time. They had beautiful amenities. It's a beautiful place from what I saw on the tour. I'm sure it would have been wonderful, it was just too far for me because I hope to see my husband eventually more than once or so a week. However, the people were wonderful. They showed me the memory care center. I met two or three people, and they were all fantastic. They were very helpful and very personable. They know their job and know their place, and they could answer any questions I had, so very impressive. They gave me a basket of fruits, jellies, and drinks for my husband, and it was a nice gesture for a first-time visit. They had a welcoming basket for him.

Hibiscus Court is wonderful. It's a very nice place. The staff are amazing. I have tried the food and it's excellent, too. The lady I interacted with is great. They're all very nice. I have not met anyone that was not extremely nice, right down to the receptionist and to the lady I normally deal with. It's just a very nice place. All the people looked happy. The apartments are nice. You have different options. You can have a one-bedroom and they have bigger ones. My husband used Hibiscus Court for respite care. He's not involved with activities. Value for money is excellent. The longest he's ever stayed there was a week.

I visited this facility

Hibiscus Court was very active and had a lot going on. I talked to a lot of residents there, and they loved the place and were happy, friendly, outgoing, and talkative. They were older but really mentally clear. It was really nice, visually pleasing, and clean. It seemed like they had a lot of activities. The rooms were nice and clean, and they have elevators and stairways. The grounds were really nice, and the place is right across the street from a really nice park. There's parking for their cars. They also throw events that people can come to. The food looked good. They had a lot of different areas where people could go and play games and get together.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have lived here for many years with my husband. The wonderful ladies here did such an excellent job of taking care of my husband and I. We couldn't have asked for a better home to grow old in. Its never a dull day here. Its all living.

I visited this facility

Hibiscus Court was very nice but it was multilevel and it was like walking in a grand hotel. You can see a big dome and a staircase. It was fancy. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Personally, I had a good time. I am a musician and I played for them all week long. The residents said the food was good and they are happy there. The apartments were clean and compact which is probably a good thing. They had activities like sing-alongs. They also had community areas where they can watch movies and play card games.

I visited this facility

Hibiscus Court was probably the one I was leaning on more because they had a lot of emphasis on the memory care, and they had a lot of memory care professionals. The place was beautiful. The dining area was very nice and very well done. The staff was friendly and informative.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Hibiscus Court is awesome for my aunt. She feels independent without even noticing that the care pros help her with nearly everything daily. She has tons of friends- some even drive everyone for Ladies Lunches. The staff is amazing, they all KNOW all the residents. It really seems like being a part of a huge family. Just go tour and meet the staff. You can't go wrong here. They also were awesome when my uncle needed memory care help. He was able to be in memory care and still spend time with my aunt. Its great that its so connected for people in-between.

I didn't know how much "assistance" they would provide at first and was afraid my husband's needs would be more than they could provide, but they have let him "age in place" and have given him all the assistance he needs so far.

This is a lovely facility but don't put your beloved parent or family member here unless they are healthy. If they need special care or attention shop around and make sure they are going to get it.

Provider Response

Sad Daughter, I wish I had more information on your situation. We provide excellent care and assistance to a wide range of resident needs. We pride ourselves on our excellent hospitality and care. All of our residents receive the special care that they need and thrive on. Not all of our residents come to us healthy, but we provide the best level of care possible. I welcome everyone thinking of making the transition to assisted living to come and see us. Please drop by for a tour, we welcome visitors and will gladly show you the great care that our residents receive.
