"We went to Veterans and Seniors Care First. The seniors looked very comfortable. Everything that they did, they did it in a very professional way. My friend's grandparents liked being there, and that's a good thing. It was clean, the room was clean, everything about it was excellent. I would like to have my mom going there, but it's a little too pricey. When we went to the cafeteria, everyone was so happy there. They were eating, and they said the food was good."

"We looked at Zon Beachside. They were nice but expensive. It was under construction and there was a lot going on. There was hardly anyone there because they weren’t open yet. It's going to be an 80-patient facility, so it was huge as compared to anything around here. They had restaurants around the area, and it was on a fairly busy street. The hospital was about three miles away. They had activities planned, but nothing was there. We just walked around looking at empty rooms. "

"Everything about The Brennity at Melbourne is excellent. I'd say that the rooms were adequate. We had lunch and it was very good. The staff were friendly and courteous. When we were there, I saw a woman swimming, and I think she was getting some therapy. "

"Palm Cottages was nice. I like that place. They had their own little cabin thingy. I think they were kind of small. I would have liked to have taken my mom there, but it's too far from home. The staff were very caring about the clients. They take them on walks and stuff like that. The facilities are good, except their rooms were kind of small. I like it a lot, but it's just too far away. Everything seemed clean. I did get into one room. It was very clean. It was nice in there because it was empty."

"We toured Alura Senior Living. There were a lot of things I liked about it. It's newer. It was built in 2021. It is very fresh. I liked the wider halls, which were bright. The artwork was bright. I like the layout of the rooms, particularly the room with the balcony. It laid out well for my stepmom's needs. Something else that I like a lot is in their dining hall. They do not have assigned seats, which is good if you want to go and meet other people in the dining environment. I also like how they do their dining. They have set times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but they also have times that you can come down at any time and select from a different part of the menu so that you can eat on your schedule, not necessarily the facility's strict schedule. So, I like that flexibility. The staff was very pleasant and engaging. They liked working there. You could tell it from their demeanor and expressions, and you could tell in their eyes that they enjoyed it. So, everything with the staff was very, very good. They have a central courtyard with a pool with waterfalls with koi fish. They have some raised gardening plots for the residents to use either for flowers or vegetables, so the facility itself offers a lot. The overall atmosphere was certainly inviting. Everything was bright and cheery."

"My wife moved into CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living - Vero Beach. We chose it because it had good ratings, the location is relatively close to my home, and upon visiting, the residents and staff seemed very friendly and welcoming. Her apartment is nice and well-maintained. She's only been there a couple of weeks, and she's still getting acquainted with the place. The amenities are very adequate. I am happy with it. They seem to have things to engage the residents pretty much every day, so that's a good thing."

"My grandma, who lost her husband to cancer about 8 months ago, just recently sold her gorgeous house sitting on 16 acres about 2 weeks ago. She had been looking at retirement communities and assisted living residencies for a couple months and was torn between Oak Harbor and The Lakes at Point West. Oak harbor, dubbed "croak harbor", was a more up-scale community that included an exclusive beach club membership, golf membership, fine dining, and exquisite homes. It was much larger and far more luxurious community than The Lakes at Point West. However, it was incredibly expensive. The Lakes at Point West offered my grandma a much more affordable atmosphere and the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. They supplied five men and two moving trucks to haul all her belongings to her new place, they prepared a five star meal and delivered it to her new home on the same day and even supplied cups and silverware. Even though it is a small community, there are many things that the place has going for it : the residents are welcoming, the staff is great, the facilities are close by, and its financially affordable. One thing is certain- though it has been tough for my grandma these past few months, the transition to her new home has been a smooth one thanks to those at The Lakes of Point West! "

"My parents moved into A Place Like Home. It's just a small facility and they're sharing a room in the facility. It seemed like the administrative staff was very caring and interested in trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. It's just a large, single-family home that has been converted into an assisted living facility. They've got four to six rooms, I'm not sure how big it was. It was very clean when I was there. They were very caring. The staff was going to try to have an outing with my father. I had spoken to the administrator about it as well, and they were going to try to get him out. The administrator worked with me on the monthly fee and we were able to come to an amicable conclusion on that, which I felt was very fair. It's not a large facility. So what they do is they bring in folks on a staggered basis to do certain things, like from what my understanding was, there will be a doctor on-site once, once every three weeks. There will be a nurse on-site once every three weeks. They have beauty care type things, for haircuts and things like that once every couple of weeks, so they're bringing people in to do the services as opposed to having somebody on site all the time because it's not a large facility."

"Toured with Ashley and was impressed. Ashley answered all of my questions and was so kind. The activities were wonderful and we stayed for lunch which was delicious. Chef Tina greeted me and my wife as if we were family. I feel confident that we found a safe environment for my mom."

"Hibiscus Court looked like it was very well run and thought out. The memory care room was very small. It's a two-person room. I was disappointed that the physical therapy would be conducted in the rooms themselves, which were not big enough probably. The lady who gave the tour was very calm, and thorough, and answered almost all of my questions and she got back to me with answers. She had a good follow-up. It's a small, nicely run place, and the dining area was fine. It was adequate. The interior was excellent but the garden area needed some work."

"The person who toured me around was very helpful. They showed us a couple of rooms. The place looked very nice, but it wasn't a fit for Mom because it would have been a shared room. Overall, it was nice."

"Victoria Landing was fabulous. They showed me the entire place. The staff member who showed me around was fantastic. I met the senior nurse, and she's a five too. The residents were eating, and the menus were fabulous. The rooms were huge compared to the other places we visited in the area. The amenities were first-class and the cleanliness was fantastic. I thought everything was new looking and very high-class."
