"I stayed in the Encompass Health Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital for rehab. It was a little more on the older scale, but kept up fine. The staff weren't as active with the patients. The food was bland. I'm using a little bit of spice in it. My room was a little smaller than what they had at the other facility, and like mine didn't have the windows. I had physical and occupational therapy there, and they were good."

"The rooms aren't bad. Two persons per room. All the nurse's and cna are really great too. The only thing i found was the food, some of it was good and some not so good."

"Melbourne Terrace is a rehab facility. We love it. My wife has a suite with a living room and everything else in there. The place is spick and span, and she's in a part where everything's brand new. She has a bedroom, a living room, and a walk-in shower. It's the nicest place I've ever seen. The staff is all right; I haven't had any problems with them. I know she has an area where she works out twice a day. They have a restaurant right inside the place, so it's pretty fancy."

"Glenda B gave my mother extraordinary care during her stay at the Palms. Glenda consistently exhibited outstanding knowledge, compassion and professionalism throughout her time with my mother. In addition to my mother, I witnessed Glenda give the same excellent attention and kind consideration to all of the ladies in her care. Glenda is a wonderful caregiver, and very special lady!!!! "

"I have been staying at Anchor Care and Rehab for years. You get decent care and they're trying to make the food as good as possible with what they got. Now, they got shipping problems, and the stores are empty, but they do the best they can. They're going to do some remodeling, the patio out front needs to be redone. I think they can improve on the internet because I have Netflix on my TV but like right now, I couldn't connect. A lot of times they have workers coming in from another company if they're short, but they don't work as well as the normal staff. We do bingo, and we go out to some restaurants, but the transportation is an issue. We used to use Space Coast buses, but we can't now because of COVID. They found a new company that just opened for transportation, and they said they'll do a five-mile radius because of the gas prices. We also watch movies, we have a guy coming in to play guitar on Saturday, and we have two ladies that come in for Bible study. Another gentleman might start giving guitar lessons, there's a Wii machine so we did bowling on that and we have Family Feud. So overall, they keep us busy. The rooms are too small. They have a courtyard out back and they have a patio out front."

"My mom is in this facility. She too has Alzheimer's. She has misplaced items that I've found stuffed in her night stand or her dresser. She love this facility. I can say the staff that I've met are really nice and courteous and they really take good care of my mom.. I have visited other facilities and this one exceeds any of the other facilities that I've seen in Indian River county. "

"I went to the hospital and they shipped me to Viera del Mar Health and Rehabilitation Center. This is my second time here. The facility is nice, new, and clean. It's one of the better ones I could ever find, but the aides are horrible. Not all of them, naturally, but just a couple of them and that can make your life miserable. I got two bad aides. The nurses are very good. Physical therapy is better than expected. It's excellent. The staff is unbelievably good. Food leaves a little something to be desired. They have things in the afternoon like bingo, arts and crafts, and other little things like that. Medicare is paying, so I don't know what it costs. I was here last year for rehab, and they were extremely good. They must have sold during the year and it's new ownership and they're nowhere near as good as they were last year, but I would still recommend them because the facility is so nice and clean and you get a private room."

"When my grandmother became sick in 2010 the family had a hard choice to make ; do we try to keep her at home or choose a nursing home for around the clock care . Needless to say we were all nervous about the nursing home idea ,however, my father was not capable of taking of my grandmother on his own and rest of the family was to distant to provide immediate care. When one first hears the word nursing home bad image come to mind particularly ones of substandard care and abusive staff. Yet, the choice had been made and we had to come together to find facility that could provide quality care physically and emotionally .On the recommendation of a home health aide we discovered Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center located in Viera,Florida. During the first visit we noticed immediately that there was security provided and each guest and worker were required to be checking for the day ,Secondly, we noticed that the place was clean from top to bottom not only on the outside but also the inside from the front room to kitchen, and the patient rooms. There staff ranging from nurses to administrative personnel were constantly in the area. The staff was friendly and immediately introduce themselves. The facility had different recreational areas for the residents to watch television or play games. Residences also had access to the patio area with staff monitoring if they wanted to sit outside. Feeling as if we could trust this facility; which had great credentials we elected to place my grandmother here. That first week we were all anxious about her care and well being let me assure you that we didn't stay worried for long . My father begin to make frequent stops throughout the day and night to see my grandmother and was greeted with open arms . The staff told my father he was free to come at any time he like which my father did. On each unannounced visit my father said he found my grandmother clean and well situated and on several visits he would find her in physical rehab. The staff would even come and take my grandmother for strolls outside in her wheelchair. As a E.R nurse I was impress by how fast the staff would come to assist the residents with request and how well organized they were with there routines. I must say the Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center was a great asset to my family during my grandmothers last days. I would recommend this facility any day for those seeking help for there love ones. "

"Therapy staff I would give 5 stars easily. Great team, they made therapy fun which isn't easy when your hip hurts so bad! Nursing is understaffed, average wait time on your call bell is about 15 minutes. Everyone was very nice but the food isn't that great either. "

"My father picked this place and I was not happy because of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful care he got. He loved everyone, especially the head nurses, but all of them. The building is very old and needs renovated. I expect that is the reason behind bad reviews. It could use some sprucing up and many people form first impression opinions. He loved his therapists and his nurses. Care is more important to me than a nice building. The rooms are big but do not have private showers. They share a bathroom with the room nextdoor like many hospital rooms. You can tell staff are very busy but they still were attentive and kind. When he returned to his surgeon he was told his incision looked great. He said his doctor was a young man who listened instead of rushing. He also told me if there is ever a time he has to live in a nursing home this is where I should put him. Okay, dad, okay. You were right and I was wrong. "

"Our experience at Solaris Healthcare Merritt Island (Health Center of Merritt Island) was good. The place was big, beautiful, and clean. They have a lot of good staff members, and the doctor was very good too. The dining area was very nice. It was just very comfortable."
