"The Brennity at Vero Beach is upscale and it's pricy. It's top-of-the-line. They've also got unassisted living there, so wealthy people come down in the winter and stay there and they get golf privileges. It's a nice golf course. It's a fancy place. These people all do a wonderful job. They know what they're doing. They're professional. The restaurant had gourmet meals. When I was there, they had grilled salmon and tenderloin steak for that night. Everything was top shelf."

"The Promenade was very nice and very clean, and the people were friendly. It was a nice tour, but it was overpriced for me. The place is only four or five years old. They had a salon and a little courtyard. The staff during the tour was very good, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The place was fairly new. Everything was in good shape. They got a nurse there. It seemed like they took very good care of the people that were there. I got to see other residents, not from the memory care unit, but residents who could get in and out around the grounds and stuff."

"Lake Forest Park was clean, well-kept, and up-to-date. The room was roomy enough that my mother-in-law could fit a king-sized bed in the bedroom. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. Anything we had to ask as far as what meals were included and housekeeping and all that was answered efficiently."

"The Brennity at Tradition had full kitchens, which is nice, but they only offer two meals a day. The staff was wonderful. My brother and I got invited to something that they were having that night, an entertainer, and they told us to come back and check it out. The food was wonderful. Everything was clean. They had big rooms. It was just a little bit more expensive. Everybody was wonderful."

"I checked out both independent and assisted living at Grand Villa of Palm Bay. What we drove up there certainly was beautiful to look at. It would be a very nice home to come to, to live. It looked very upper class. It looked very clean. It is right on the water, which makes it very pristine also. The grounds and everything outside were immaculate. When I came in I met the lady at the desk. My daughter was with me. She verified our appointment. We met the young lady that was taking us on the tour, and we went to lunch first. There was nothing special prepared for us. We were given the same menu that everybody else had, which was their daily menu and also whatever the special of the day was at lunchtime. My daughter had the special, and I chose just something off of the regular menu. I was very satisfied. The food quality was excellent. The portions and everything were really appropriate. They didn't overfeed you, and they certainly didn't starve you. The staff was extremely accommodating. I enjoyed them very much."

"I moved into Glenbrooke Senior Living. My meals are all supplied. They clean the apartment once a week. They drive me to any doctor's appointments. It's a good place. Right now, I have a plan that says I get two meals a day. It works out well because I am not an early riser, and by the time they want to serve breakfast, I'm just getting out of bed. The apartment size is beautiful. It's just like moving into a regular apartment. I have a 1,200-square-foot apartment. I have a beautiful little patio. I don't pay for anything here except my TV. I just moved from across the hall. My initial apartment had very dark granite, and I liked a lot of light around me. Everything else about the apartment was perfect. It was clean. Washer and dryer are supplied. You do your laundry right in your apartment. Anything you could think of, they have there for you, including a microwave and a gas stove. It's wonderful and has a large pantry for someone who won't have to cook anymore. The food is very satisfactory. It's not gourmet, but it's not being served in a high school cafeteria either. There's more than one building. For the main building, where our dining area is, I would give it a five, but for the outbuildings we live in, those of us who can do a little more care, I'm going to give it a four because they are not doing the hallways as well as they should. Some things need updating or at least some reporting; you just shouldn't be satisfied with what's there if it's not right. Every hour, something is going on until seven o'clock at night. I enjoyed all the ones that I attended."

"My parents moved into A Place Like Home. It's just a small facility and they're sharing a room in the facility. It seemed like the administrative staff was very caring and interested in trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. It's just a large, single-family home that has been converted into an assisted living facility. They've got four to six rooms, I'm not sure how big it was. It was very clean when I was there. They were very caring. The staff was going to try to have an outing with my father. I had spoken to the administrator about it as well, and they were going to try to get him out. The administrator worked with me on the monthly fee and we were able to come to an amicable conclusion on that, which I felt was very fair. It's not a large facility. So what they do is they bring in folks on a staggered basis to do certain things, like from what my understanding was, there will be a doctor on-site once, once every three weeks. There will be a nurse on-site once every three weeks. They have beauty care type things, for haircuts and things like that once every couple of weeks, so they're bringing people in to do the services as opposed to having somebody on site all the time because it's not a large facility."

"What can I say, Yvonne took the best care of my Mother. There is one on one interaction and Yvonne is very good with her patients. The facility which is a regular home is set up to par. The place is clean and you can see Yvonne takes great pride in her business. I thought my mother would only be there 6 months but ended up there for 3years. Will always refer Bater Assistant Living.
