"I like Meridian at Lantana very much. I saw both assisted living and independent. I was very impressed with it. It's smaller, it's not one of those huge places, but it's very nice. I like the location. I like everything. I like the fact that it's homey and cozy, and not big and impersonal. I like the people there that I met. They're doing major renovations on the rooms, the courtyard, and the pool, and it looks like it's gonna be really beautiful. I didn't see a whole lot of the staff, and with the virus, they're having to cut back on some things. I had lunch at that time, and they had a very good chef."

"Vi at Lakeside Village is excellent. They have exercise classes, entertainment, and card playing. There’s an auditorium where they have many activities, a physical fitness room, a dining room, a café, nice outdoor things, shuffleboard, and a tennis court. It is a good place. The staff is wonderful. The food is OK, but I’m told that I’m very picky. I’m very comfortable and content here."

"Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens was very friendly. The residents seemed active, engaged and visible. They were out and about, which we liked. They had a nice pool and facilities. The only comment we had that was negative was that if you were an assisted living person, you could not eat in the independent living dining room. You had to eat down the hall in a different dining room. The apartments were weirdly shaped. I don't know how else to say it, because I think it was in the original building design, but a lot of the apartments had pointy rooms. They were like Pentagon-shaped rooms and it was a little disorienting. If it's what you're looking for, it could be a very nice place. The sales agent was very nice. Everything looked great."

"The people were nice. It's a larger facility. They have long corridors and it's more institutionalized. It may be better for somebody else but not better in this case. It's a nice facility and its suitable for what it offers. "

"I went to Bella Mar at Royal Palm Beach. I did not dislike anything. I didn't think it was an overwhelming experience, but I thought it was a good experience. The room seems to be accessible. The director who assisted me during the tour was very good. He was friendly enough, and he interacted with his staff. The facility seemed very clean. They have a gym and an outdoor space and offer therapy."

"My mother was at Elegance at Lake Worth for memory care. Initially, when she moved there, it was called The Landing, and then it was sold and became Elegance. It just changed after that. It's still a very nice facility, but it just seemed like they couldn't keep the good staff. She was there for two and a half years, initially assisted living for a year and a half, and then memory care. Towards the end, they increased their price to $1,500 a month, then the good people started leaving. Before that, it was great. Other than that, there was very good energy as soon as you walked in, and the layout of the building was great. The staff was great, the food was really good, and the activities were awesome. My mother had one of the smaller apartments, but it was certainly sufficient. They had a movie room and several nice courtyard areas, too."

"Luxe Senior Living at Jupiter was a newer building so it was nice and they had a few more amenities. They had an exercise area, a library area, and a theater. The two-bedroom apartment was in really good shape. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable."

"I toured Barrington Terrace at Boynton Beach. I enjoyed that. The woman who took me around to the tour, we discussed having animals, and she brought her two goldens with her so I could meet them. I thought that was very sweet. They have very good staffing, clients, and employees, so that was good. It has longevity. The rooms, what I noticed is that they do not have a lot of windows, yet the way it was put up, it took a lot of sunlight. It was a very open, nice feeling. It wasn't dark and gloomy. The bathroom was a little bit smaller than the other community. The staff was wonderful. I didn't get to eat there, but I liked it. They don't have a pool. The apartments were a bit bigger. I requested to see one bedroom because the studios are just too small."
