Temporarily, I'm at Brookdale West Boynton Beach but I'm getting out of here. I've been here for four days now. It's not for me. It started with cockroaches in my room, and that was not the best thing for me. Other than that, it was a very classy place. They had good nursing care, good food, and good activities. I have a one-bedroom, but they have a couple of different floor plans. There's assistance but the level of care wasn't for me. They have new activities every day, anything from movies to going on a retreat to the store. The restaurant is good. They have numerous types of food available.

We went to Brookdale West Boynton Beach. We talked about pricing. The staff showed us a studio and a one-bedroom. It's very dark, very dingy, and overly expensive, and my husband did not like it. The staff who gave the tour was nice. They had a garden there. The outside was nice, but everything else was dingy.

I went to Brookdale West Boynton Beach. I think that they have a lot of caring individuals there. The facility was definitely clean. My first impression, and so I had nothing compared to it in my mind, but my first impression was that it was a well-put-together and staffed facility. It's older. I think it's 25 years old, so it has an older feel, an older look to it, maybe not quite as bright and cheery as what I have seen today, which was a brand-new place. So that would be for obvious reasons because they've changed a lot of architecture and whatnot. But the people that I spoke to were really thorough. They seem like they have some good programs in place, so it's just a matter of what would be the ultimate fit for Mom and Dad. The staff was great. They were very enthusiastic, very thorough, answered any questions that we could possibly have, and gave us a lot of input on how to deal with my dad, who was more of the resistant one moving down. So they were very helpful with maybe some ideas there, and lots of reassurance as to what they do, and they were very thorough in explaining their program. So the staff I thought seemed to be very, very good.

Mom was at Brookdale West Boynton Beach and it was great there. We loved it. They were just so nice, but I think probably one of the best and the deciding factor was that they had a program to help you take out a loan against the house so that we had time to get mom's finances in order. They gave us the ability to help us pay while we had to sell her house for her to move in. She was in a studio apartment. It was adorable. It had two enormous closets, a private bathroom, and a pretty generous kitchen area, too. It was bigger than just a kitchenette. It was great and the people there were so nice. Another great thing is that they have a physical therapist that would do water aerobics with them and that was the only place that we found that had that. That was huge for us because she needed physical therapy. They had an outdoor pool for that. They also had an activities room and a small movie theater. It was great. There are tons and tons of activities. The meals were great. My mom loved them. It's like restaurant-style. They were accommodating. They even offered to give my mom a scooter. A resident has passed away and that resident had donated their scooter. They were just so helpful.

I thought Brookdale West Boynton Beach looked more like a nursing home than independent living. Everything was on the inside, it was all hallways. When you open your apartment door, you're still inside the building. It was just dreary. The staff walked us all over the place and it was very, very spread out. It was pretty big. The guy was very nice. He actually called me back several times later to check on my brother to see whether or not he is happy where he's at. The place looked clean and it was OK, but we saw a lot of residents in walkers and wheelchairs. I didn't see too many activities there. The dining room was very big. There was a pool table, puzzles, and a very small library.

Brookdale West Boynton Beach gets an A+ from me. It was clean, organized, and very nice. The staff who assisted me during the tour was very friendly. Everybody said hi and smiled. The apartments looked awesome. I saw their cafeteria and the physical therapy room.

I like Brookdale West Boynton Beach because of its proximity to where I live. It's recently renovated, so it's in good condition. The apartments were beautiful and I like the fact that they provide three meals a day and that they have assisted living. It was a one-bedroom unit that I was interested in. It had ample closet space (multiple closets) and you have the option of a stove in the kitchen or not. I was hoping for a balcony, but there's no balcony so that's the only thing that I had a preference for that they didn't have, but the apartment was just perfect. The sales counselor was very knowledgeable and extremely informative. They also have a library, a pool, a salon, and activities centers.

I had a complete tour of Brookdale West Boynton Beach. I saw 3 options for rooms, all of the sitting areas, and the dining room. I was looking at the studios, and the size looked adequate for what my friend needs. I felt the tour was very thorough. I left with a very good understanding of what they do and how they treat people. I was very satisfied with this facility. I saw lots of amenities, like the library and the arts and crafts room. I liked that the assisted living area was separated from the memory care because it gave the person needing physical help the ability to talk to people who are on the same level as them, as opposed to other places where the residents from assisted living and memory care were all in one area.

Brookdale West Boynton Beach was clean. The memory care rooms were small, but we liked the place. The person who gave us a tour was very nice and gave a lot of information. The dining area was well-kept. They also had a library and an activities director.

I was considering Brookdale West Boynton Beach for my husband. However, it's a little more distance for me. I looked at memory care and assisted living. It was very nice. It seemed to be more populated than the other place I visited, but it seemed nice. Pricewise, it was probably better. The facility seemed nice, well-kept, and clean, and they had a pool also. It was attractive looking. The staff who toured me around was very nice.

I toured Brookdale West Boynton Beach for my sister-in-law. We weren't certain which care she would need at the time; she was pretty in need of assistance. It could have been assisted going back into independent care. It was a great experience, especially with the staff that gave me the tour. He was very thorough about how this should be approached and the ins and outs of the care and the facility. It was just a very thorough review that he gave me of what I could expect in the different levels of assisted living and moving back into independent care if that time came. He showed me the different apartments, which are quite impressive, and toured through the recreational facilities and the amenities that they had. I saw the individuals there, happy individuals, and they seemed to be very content and friendly and okay. There are doctors and nurses on staff that would come in, and they have a gym room, and an activity list, which was quite impressive that they would offer. From an assisted living standpoint, he talked about the price for the assisted part of it, if she needed help with dressing and care, and assistance in going down to the dining room area or having food brought up. And what was involved with hurricanes, and if that time came what provisions that they would furnish.

We found Brookdale West Boynton Beach to be very clean. The staff was very friendly. We saw three different apartments, and we were very pleased with what we saw. We did not try the food while we were there, but they did offer some refreshments if we needed anything to drink. We observed the dining room and a game room that we looked at. We didn't see anybody doing any activities while we were there, but we saw where the activity areas were and the physical therapy area. I thought the apartment was very nice. We would be happy to put my mother there if that's the route we choose. The apartments were clean. They looked very efficient and almost exactly what we were looking for.

Brookdale West Boynton Beach was a nice place. But this was a little bit too small of what I was looking for at the time. The only available thing was a studio. I saw a couple of people, and they were going to have lunch. I was in the dining room area. It was extremely clean and spacious. The young lady who showed me around was professional and patient. She was awesome. They did have a beauty salon where you can get your hair done. I thought that was an awesome idea. I saw a pool area that was nice if you want to go swimming. When I went in, I felt safe there. The parking area was good.

I did not care for Brookdale West Boynton Beach at all. I was not crazy about it. The staff is very friendly. They have everything, but it was just not what I was looking for. It was not modern enough and was pretty old. The staff said it was like 26 years old. The rooms looked fair, nothing great but everything was very clean. People do whatever they want. They play cards, play games, or watch television or movies. They have the same amenities as other places I saw.

We went to Brookdale West Boynton Beach in person. The tour was good. We saw everything. The staff seemed very pleasant, very nice, and some of the residents told me it was very nice there. They gave us some cookies when we left, and my mother-in-law said it was very good. The facility was clean, I know that they redid a lot of things, and it looked good. They had an outdoor courtyard. If you visit someone, the only place you're allowed to go was outside, but it was very pleasant. They had indoor courtyards that the residents can use. They were having a movie in the movie room and everyone was apart by 6 feet and they also wear masks inside. They were following the rules, so it was good. They're delivering the food to your room. They're not allowed to have the dining facilities open right now, but they showed them to me. There were three places where they could eat, and they're very pleasant. You decorate the room yourself and you furnish it, so we will furnish it with a little table for her, so she could eat in the room. I talked mostly to the salespeople and I saw the cleaning people, and they were good. You can't do everything right now because they're restricted, but they bring things into the rooms or in their indoor facilities that a person can do on their own. I saw a studio and a 1-bedroom. The studio was very small, but the 1-bedroom was lovely. This is a good fit for my mother-in-law. She will have enough money to be there for quite a while. They have nurses on-staff who are allowed to treat people for things. They have the memory care unit, so they have the license and they have people on-staff, so that's good, too. They're very accommodating with everything that they have, and I'm pretty sure that since they have a special going on right now with the 1-bedrooms, we will probably take that.

Brookdale West Boynton Beach was a very nice community. We just walked in ourselves and the staff just happened to quickly show us a room. It looked like the place was nice and the people were also nice. We didn't have a scheduled visit, but the room that we saw was very nice.

The person that gave us the tour at Brookdale West Boynton Beach was fantastic. The living atmosphere there was very nice and the set up was nice as well. It's not that they were not capable, it's just that they did not have the outdoor space that the place we ended up choosing had. The staff was very nice though.

My mother is in Brookdale West Boynton Beach. The nurses are great, and the aides are good. They have bingo, black jack, and they do the rosary on Sundays. The staff is very attentive and caring. The food is good. There's a 24-hour nurse available, which is perfect.

I just wanted to send you a note on your staff at Brookdale west Boynton. As you know, my Mom broke her hip back in September and has been rehabilitating to return. These last two weeks she kept telling me that she could not wait to get back to Brookdale. She did not like the food or the care where she was being rehabilitated. She often told me that even though she could be cranky with the aides she cared for them and missed them. I have always been completely comfortable and satisfied with the care your staff has given my mom. It has been a blessing having her there and I would recommend Brookdale highly. Keep up the great work!

Brookdale West Boynton Beach was a bigger facility than other places we saw and it had very good food. It had a library, Bingo, an exercise room, and people were out and about and seemed to be engaged. We didn't like the apartments there though because they were on the small side and not as nice as other places. They were very comparable.

We really like Brookdale West Boynton Beach. The people there were very friendly and accommodating, but when they sent the nurse out to evaluate, they said they are not the facility for my father-in-law. Their grounds are very, very nice.

Brookdale was terrible. We really did not care for that. It was really old, and it smelled old. The rooms were not nice at all. They had some terrible staff in there. The food was terrible. Tthe waiters and the waitresses could have been a little bit friendlier and nicer. They were not nice at all. They were kind of rude. You would ask them one thing, and they would bring you another.

This is the kind of community I knew immediately would be right for my loved one and all of us who visit! We were treated professionally and with respect throughout our interview and tour. The follow up telephone calls were timely, helpful and once we were ready to make a decision for my grandparents, Brookdale in West Boynton Beach made the overwhelming details for my mother seem easy. I cannot thank them enough for helping us through this stressful time. We spend more time as an extended family now than we have in years. Thanks you for giving us our peace of mind back Brookdale WBB!!

I was very pleased with Brookdale West Boynton Beach. I liked that they were very friendly and that the residents looked very happy. The place was clean. I liked the idea that their assisted and memory care were not in separate buildings. I would give this place a high rating.

Brookdale West Boynton was more like a hotel. They told me that I will have to have my own person taking care of my mother. I visited this one, and it was very nice, but it was more for younger people. I talked to two different people, and I am not interested because I could see that there were no Spanish speaking people. The residents seemed very capable of taking care of themselves. It certainly looked very good to me, but I don't think it is appropriate for someone with advanced dementia. Really, I saw a lot of ladies that seemed to have their own personal assistance, but obviously the place provided only limited assistance, and if you are past that stage, then you have to have your own helper. For someone who wants to be in a hotel setting -- not in an advanced memory care facility -- it would be nice. I don't have anything against them. I just think it wasn't what my mother needs because she is too advanced in dementia.

My mother was in hospice for five weeks at this facility. The first week, there was no hot water.. The room was outdated. The first couple of weeks when I attempted to communicate with staff they either did not know who my mother was, or, did not return my calls. The service in the dining hall was worse than terrible- staff take 20-30 minutes to even take food orders, then another 20 minutes to serve. The servers have terrible attitudes, upsetting residents. If you care about your parent, look elsewhere. Staff needs training and facility needs upgrading.

We deeply regret that we were unable to meet all of your expectations. We want to thank you for your feedback and please know it will be reviewed and used to better serve our residents and their families in the future.

Mom was here in their assisted living, as well as in their memory care unit. The staff were wonderful, and their rooms are beautiful. Mom initially had a one-bedroom studio, and it was very spacious. We haven’t gotten the chance to eat there, but Mom seemed to like the food. Their dining room is beautiful. The place is very secured, especially in their dementia wing. The facility is very high class in their operation, and that is very good.

We were looking at Boynton Beach apartments in the independent living facility. The bathroom was not off of the master bedroom; it was near the front door. The way it was laid out was not good. It looked like they have a wonderful activity director. She seemed to be lively, caring, and had a lot of good ideas, but all the things that were listed didn’t all happen. I don’t think their dining room service was very good. I got the feeling they were skimpy with the food.

My friend is here and she is getting good care. The important thing is that she is protected and safe because she is in a memory care, and she is adjusting very well to the facility. I like the staff as they seem to be very caring and that is important to us, that they are taking good care of her. She is in a studio and it's small, but it’s adequate for her. I would just like to see the outside being kept up a little bit more because the seats are old and in disarray. The first floor looks very pretty when you get in there. The memory care unit is not as nice as the first floor, but I guess that could be expected. Overall, it's OK and the price was better than the other facilities we've checked.

It is a very impressive facility. It was spotless. The senior staff members helped me with regards to assisting the transfer of my wife to the facility. They were very excellent in handling all of that. With the food, there are some things that she likes and some things she did not, but that is typical for that age anyway. I think overall, it was very good. They do offer choices and their dining area was very nice.

My mom seems to be happy here and so long as she is happy, we are happy. She has a suite and it's a small room, but it's working for her. She does complain sometimes about the food because some times, when they ask for something, it takes them a very long time to bring it. Sometime when she's eating a hotdog and she wants catsup, she has to wait 15-20 minutes for them to come back and bring catsup, but the food seems fine. She seems to like the activities and they have bingo. She says that the staff is fine. I like the cleanliness of the place. However, I thought they can improve on the food that they have available because they staff will just bring in what they want and that's it.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. They've gone above and beyond, and I mean all the staff, from the highest paid to the lowest paid. Whenever I've needed help, they've helped me. Whenever I call, they connect me with the right person. It has just been a really wonderful experience. My uncle is very happy with the food. I'm not, because I'm a gourmet caterer, but he's very happy. The sanitation is excellent. I'm very pleased about that because I'd seen some of these senior developments that are filthy, and this one is very clean.

The people were nice. It's a larger facility. They have long corridors and it's more institutionalized. It may be better for somebody else but not better in this case. It's a nice facility and its suitable for what it offers.

I went and a lovely young man showed me around and gave me very good information about it. I was impressed with the layout. At the time of my visit, they were re-decorating and refurbishing, so I don't know what it looked normally. Aside from assisted living, they also have an Alzheimer's and dementia area. The rooms were okay. They also gave me a sample menu and it looked very nice. They also have lots of activities but the people in the ALF weren't capable of doing as much. They also have a little library for them. If my parents would need assisted living, I would consider this place. It seemed like a good quality place.
