"I toured. The place is quite small, with a bedroom, living space, and kitchenette. Angela was amazing. We had such a nice conversation about her outlook on life, and she's very pleasant. She overshadows everything. The facility is clean."

"We toured The Brennity at Vero Beach. We visited all levels of care. We went through all of them, and they were all great. They were all very good. There were a lot of activities for the residents. They were being monitored in the areas that needed more assistance. They were very good and very attentive to the residents. They showed the different types of model rooms. They were clean, and there was more than enough room in there. Some of the units had a kitchen area that the residents could use. They had refrigerators if you wanted something to keep cold beverages. They tried to accommodate all the residents there. They have Wii bowling for them. They have an indoor pool that's heated. They have an exercise class. Their groups were encouraged to do these activities. You weren't seeing people just sitting around in their chairs. There's active participation in the activities. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating in trying to find what was best for what we needed for my husband."

"I went to The Promenade and had lunch there. I liked everything about it. The food was excellent. They took us on a whole tour. They do all kinds of activities. They have nice rooms. I don't have anything bad to say about it. If I needed to go there, I would pick that. One thing I liked about it is you're not locked in. If you go there, say, in three months, you don't like it, you can leave. I met the chef. He's a five-star chef. What we had for lunch was excellent. They had a big courtyard. They've always got activities. I've been invited since I left there to come to visit. They have a lot of different areas where you can meet and have coffee. They have a laundry room if you like to do your own laundry. You can have pets. Everybody was just unbelievably friendly. I was impressed."

"Raquel has made a lovely, light, spacious warm home for my husband. I pinch myself everyday for above and beyond compassionate and patient care he is receiving. Raquel is a true professional who always has a smile on her face . Her vast experience and gentle care have been a positive game changer in his life and mine! finally, after 3.5 years in two costly assisted living facilities, he is receiving the kind of care every elderly person deserves. He is 88.5 with Parkinson’s but no tremor and is cognitively with it. We are blessed beyond measure to have her as part of our family. Even his physician is impressed with all of the positive changes in him! This is an awesome Assisted Living Facility!"

"I went for a visit and I thought the place was great. I went to one of their activities. I was not really thrilled with the food. The other drawback I had there was the age of the community because I'm younger and there was one couple there that was even close to my age. I want to socialize and it just didn’t work out for me. It would have been great for my mother but I'm looking for a place that I can go into as an independent living and move on as I get older. "

"Overall, I had a good tour at Palms at St. Lucie West. The community was clean, and it offered many activities. I like the fact that there were assisted living activities that independents could attend, as well as separate independent activities specifically for them, which was a nice touch. The facility was all enclosed in one area, and that was nice, too. The staff member who gave you the tour was a young associate, and he has been there for a couple of years now. We looked at the menu, and we walked around the eating area. One of the downsides I thought personally is that, while they separate the assisted living from the independent living as far as the times offered for lunch and dinner, they only opened up a one-hour window for each, and that was a little restraining. Maybe with assisted living, you get a little prodding, but with independent living, you don't get any prodding to say, 'Hey, it's 11:30, and you got 40 minutes left.' So I thought it would have been nice to have a larger window available, even if it meant reduced food. In other words, full-up hot food service for this one hour, and then maybe grab-and-go something not as hot for the next two hours, and maybe have a soup and salad bar available. I was turned off a little bit by the food plan there. They had various physically oriented activities that were very helpful, like a chair yoga type thing. A very shallow heated pool is available. The mental activities, I felt, were good. I was really looking for both mental activities and a little bit of physical activities, and they both seemed very good."

"It was very pleasant. The dining room was magnificent. They have their own chef and their custom meals. You eat dinner, lunch, breakfast, or whatever, and you can look at the water. It was a very pleasant place to be. I wouldn't mind being there. The staff I met were polite and cordial. They have a nice veterans program. Anybody that is a veteran that resides there, their picture is framed on the wall. They cater to the residents. The staff was good. The building itself was very nice. For amenities and activities, they have shopping, they have games, there's a small pool and a weight room, and they also have physical therapy."

"We toured and like the two-bedrooms. They don't have any three-bedrooms. All they have are two-bedrooms, and the bedrooms are very large, so that appealed to us. We had the new director tour us, and she was very pleasant and informative. A lot of their activities, other than going to the mall or taking you to the doctors', were exercises and things like that. They have periodic social ice cream things. The cleanliness was very good. The master bedroom had a king-sized bed and still had plenty of room to walk around the bed."

"We liked Century Oaks. It had a good independent living facility and there's another building for people with memory problem. It’s close to our vicinity. The staff were okay, they were a good assistance. The rooms are good sized compared to the other we saw. Residents there seemed to be pretty good. They have a library and a wellness center. I will recommend this place depending on what people like. "

"Under new management. Barbara and Raphael are awesome in the leasing office and Mario is the best maintenance man I have ever known. I was a nurse for 45 years and had a small stroke in October of 2017. I had to stop working and go on social security, making it impossible for me to keep my beautiful home in Portofino Shores and look for affordable housing. After looking for weeks at my options, I decided to move to Lexington Club at Vero, because this is the nicest apt for the money. Barbara and Raphael worked tirelessly to expedite getting my apt ready for me, as it was not on the available list at the time I applied, but was the one I wanted, due to location in the building and was recently vacated by a previous tenant. I had issues with my disposal and AC and Mario replaced both same day I notified the office. I love the hair salon in the building! Previous salon was much more expensive than Angie in the building here and she does great work. The heated pool is very nice and never crowded. "

"My grandparents both lived here until they passed away. They went from independent living to assisted living to 24-hour hospital-type care. The staff was very loving and warm, the food was decent, and the grounds were well-maintained. There was never an unpleasant smell and there were many activities for the residents. I visited my grandparents many, many times at Indian River, and stayed with them as long as they had their apartment. I never had a single negative experience with the facilities or the staff. "

"At Heritage Plantation, they're very nice and very cordial people. I feel like I'm home already. They're very neighborly. I haven't moved in yet, but they're very nice people. I feel like I'm with my family already. It's very comfortable there. It is a mobile home park. You buy your trailer, and you pay monthly rent. They have a pool and just all kinds of things going on over there all the time, constantly. The staff is there all the time. They're always doing yard work. They're sending brochures or emails about things going on. Their mobile homes have different layouts. They're all different kinds of shapes, sizes, and older or newer. It still depends on what you want. It's top-notch. It's perfect. It's ideal. You can get on your bicycle and run around, or you can get to your golf cart and move around, or whatever you want to do. It is very nice. You can have your pets. You can walk your dog in the park. I love it because I have two cats, and I like my animals. It's very nice and cordial. The facility is clean, up-to-date, and beautifully maintained. It is gorgeous. There is a beautiful fountain in the lake, and the fountain is going constantly all the time. They're maintaining the property beautifully. The staff members are very nice people and very cooperative. They want to help you with everything. All you do is talk to them, and they get things done right away. They're very helpful people."

"I visited this facility to look for a place for my aunt and fell in love with it for myself when I am of age. This Space is really polished, Clean and smells refreshing from the moment I walked in. You can tell the staff were passionate about the care of their residents and treated everyone that walked through the doors like family. We were also able to taste some of the food that was certainly cooked with love, it was very tasty! There was a nice size enclosed patio and activities such as miniature golf and a walking trail. I'm still touring others, but it's on the top of my list, even for myself."

"I went to Bethesda on Turkey Creek. They planned on doing a lot of renovations at the time. The price was very good. It's a little bit out of our budget, but ultimately, it was still reasonable. "I visited Harbor Place, and the people who showed me around were very nice. They had very nice grounds and everything was beautiful. The apartment was set up very nicely. I can't say anything negative about it. Everything was there. I've been there three or four times and it's lovely. It's like walking into a beautiful hotel with a big courtyard in the middle. It's away from the main traffic area which is good and the rooms are nice with high ceilings and balconies on some. They have two meals a day and a nice menu to choose from that changed every day. I could take my little dog with me. There's covered parking, and a little deli where you could have lunch on your own, and a little gift store where you can get aspirin or toothpaste if you run out. They were very accommodating. In one three-story building was all independent, and in a separate building is the assisted. There's also a building in front where people go for physical therapy. There were people playing cards in one room, and they had a nice pool area, workout area, and a big ballroom area. They do a full buffet breakfast with everything. For dinner, there's always fish and another special, plus the regular menu, so you have a choice of two specials or the regular menu. It was beautiful. The value was certainly there. "
