"It was very nice. The man who gave us the tour was very nice. The rooms were a little small, but very well maintained. The dining room faced the water, so you're almost on a cruise ship. But it was very expensive, so it was beyond our budget. The dining area was beautiful. I think they said this place is only five years old, so everything is nice. They have a movie theater and a bistro. They have a general store where if you need a snack or something, you can go get it. But they give you three meals a day. So let's say you want a snack in the afternoon, you go to the country store and pick up a snack. It was all very nice."

"Sonata (Sonata at Melbourne) was better than the other facilities I saw. It was like a luxury hotel and had an old coffee place where you come in, and they serve coffee and ice cream. There was a beautiful library with a fireplace and a beauty parlor, which included a massage table. It was too much for my sister-in-law because she would be intimidated by all of the luxury around. We checked that one off simply because it was too good. "

"I've been with this facility for almost 9 years. There have been ups and downs, but mostly it's been a good experience. The staff was fine, but they need to have a little bit better management. I wouldn't say that they're not caring about the residents, but there's not quite the warmth that they're used to be when I first came in. Overall, it's a wonderful place and I've been happy. "

"Indian Oaks is a nice, closely knit community where you have your own independent living, but you have neighbors close by with similar interests and lifestyle. There is a large swimming pool where they offer some exercise classes. There are also activities in their recreation center. They take care of maintaining the grounds as well as pest control too. They can also take care of some of the house repairs. I was very impressed because it seems to meet the criteria I am looking for. "

"I had a very good tour at Trinity Towers East and West. The place was very clean, and the apartment unit was excellent. They had central air conditioning to control the climate and heat in each unit. We only saw an efficiency apartment because that was the only one that they could show us. They don't serve food there. The staff was very nice, and all the people that we ran into were very courteous and very friendly. They had a library, a conference room, a utility room with a washer and dryer, a garbage dump room, and a central mailbox. They had a 24/7 guard down in front, plus they had call buttons in every apartment in the living room and the bathroom."

"I am a resident of Trinity Towers East. I like that the apartments are clean. It's 610 square feet. I have a one-bedroom, a living room, a tiny kitchen, a bathroom, and two huge closets. We have laundry facilities on every floor, two elevated buildings, 14 stories, and good maintenance. I have no problem. It's just that they only have a one-bedroom apartment or a studio, but now I need a three-bedroom. Everything is in here. The kitchen is very small, but it has a four-burner stove and a full-size refrigerator. I have a sink, a countertop, cabinets, and a bathtub. I pay $700 a month, including all my utilities and cable. They have bingo for a couple of nights. They have exercise classes and Bible studies. They have barbecues once in a while, like on holidays. They have various things. They keep you busy. It's always something every day of the week, and they have computer classes."

"It was a large facility, there were like 500 people there. I like Bethesda, it was nice and clean. My dad would have had his own room which was really nice, but it was so big that I thought he would do better where he was even though he doesn't have his own room. That's okay because he was never in his own room anyway. "

"Hampton Manor of Merritt Island was just down the street from us. It's not far from my home and it's brand new. The facility was just beautiful. The one-bedroom was nice. Their dining area was like a little restaurant thing. The common areas were absolutely beautiful. It's got brand-new furniture. They've got a library and everything. It's very nice and very pretty. They've got a lot of amenities. It would be a happy place for everybody."

"Island Lakes is a facility for 55-and-older seniors. It has manufactured homes and they have a recreational facility with activities going on, like potluck dinners, card games and birthday parties. They have a central pool. It's a quite large facility. This is an independent living community and you can come and go as you please. You also have neighbors who are seniors, who are active and able to live independently. "
