"I went and a lovely young man showed me around and gave me very good information about it. I was impressed with the layout. At the time of my visit, they were re-decorating and refurbishing, so I don't know what it looked normally. Aside from assisted living, they also have an Alzheimer's and dementia area. The rooms were okay. They also gave me a sample menu and it looked very nice. They also have lots of activities but the people in the ALF weren't capable of doing as much. They also have a little library for them. If my parents would need assisted living, I would consider this place. It seemed like a good quality place. "

"I'm living in Palomino Gardens Retirement Resort. The grounds and the layout are top-notch. I'm very happy here in my apartment. They have great amenities. They have all sorts of activities. I like the exercise activities. They have a pool. I'm usually in the pool in the warmer weather. They have a lot of activities that I don't participate in such as card playing and other games like that. The staff is excellent. They're friendly, nice and very helpful. They serve three meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they're excellent. The chef takes notice of the residents' feedback. I've been here for a year. I've not gotten bored with what has been provided in those three meals. There's a varied menu. They have a great salad bar and fruit bar. They're very much on top of the game. It's a little more out of my normal expenditures, but I have less hassle and less stress. They meet my needs. I have my own washer and dryer in my apartment. What I like about it is that I can go to the dining room. It's almost like a cafeteria, but it's more upgraded than that. There's usually a choice of salmon, a sandwich, or a fish. There are fresh vegetables here. This hit all the points for me. I can select who I want to sit with and talk with."

"My mother was a resident for many years of both the assisted living and memory care sides of Grand Villa. The facility is clean, well kept and comfortable . They have a caring and pleasant staff who kept her clean, comfortable and safe. We would enjoy sitting by the outside pool together when I visited her. They have a chef and staff who prepare very good food. They have great gathering areas for watching tv and for the many activities available. The staff took the proper precautions during Covid, and this continues. I would recommend this facility for a loved one who needs care."

"It was very nice. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The apartments were very nice but didn't have a washer/dyer. The grounds were very nice and in a nice location. Their dining area was very nice, the menu looked nice, and the food looked good. Their pricing was fair."

"We liked Verena at Delray because they offered the biggest living quarters. Most of the places I went to had very small units, but this was the largest one that we found and they're redoing the entire building. So, it would be very lovely. I met a lot of people there who were very nice, very helpful, and very professional. They had very beautiful outside surroundings. It's on Linton Boulevard and the whole area was lovely. The waitresses were very, very nice. We met the chef several times and he was very good, too. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it very much. They're also redoing the entire dining room. They have a gym, a pool, social activities, and a happy hour. We've been to their happy hour several times where everybody just gets together and that was lovely. They also have card playing, mahjong playing, poker playing, movies, trips, and a lot of stuff that keeps you pretty busy."

"We looked at the independent living at Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens. We had not even considered independent living until we sat down with the manager and then realized that independent care was really what my mother-in-law would be able to do and not need to go into assisted living. That was something that she could move into at some point in time. If we were gonna move her, that would be the one we would go to for our purposes, for our location and such. The staff was excellent. The people that we worked with were extremely informative and professional, and really felt like they were concerned about not only her as a future resident, but also for us, providing us with all the details, and what we needed to know as far as accommodations, opportunities for her to be more socially active, and also pricing. When you walked in, it looked like a cruise ship lobby. It's like an apartment building. I think it had five stories and it was very well-maintained. They have an Olympic-sized swimming pool where they were doing water aerobics classes. Many of the apartments face the pool and the outside. It was all landscaped. It looked like a country club."

"We chose this facility for my mom, but she will be just moving in. The place is very nice, and mom is very happy that we chose the place. The apartment that she is moving in is very nicely done in terms of countertops, carpeting, and all the amenities in terms of her care. We are quite satisfied with what we chose."

"The quality of the residents and the facility itself are the aspects that appealed to me most. It is a very nice facility. I would recommend them for independent living but not for assisted living."

"We did a comparison between here and another facility and this was 10 times better. We got a lot of wonderful info for this facility. At this point, were we to become disabled or whatever, we would go to here. Their environment, rooms, working staff, and food were good. They have activities there too. They have a fitness center which I like. They also have happy hour, entertainment, trips and stuff like that. I found their activities very attractive. What I like best during my visit there was their willingness on their part to impart information and cost information through different stages of assisted living."

"The thing that first impressed me about this facility is that it is small enough that the owners and staff know everyone by name, and also is able to know their entire history (and therefore can respond immediately if a person has a change in condition or needs medical attention!), as opposed to other places which might be bigger and more expensive, but a person is just a number and can get lost in the crowd. The other great thing I found about this facility is that one of the owners (Renee) is a nurse, and opposed to other facilities which might have a home health nurse who comes in once a day to check only on the residents who are on her caseload, Renee is there every day and can attend to each patient at the facility. Having a licensed nurse on staff is such a plus! Equally impressive is that most meals are prepared from scratch and that the cleanliness of the facility is a top priority. Never once have I walked in and been accosted by an odor. Cleaning seems to take place 24/7, which is amazing, and the staff to resident ratio is much better than at many other facilities. "

"I moved into Park Summit. It's pretty much where all my friends and my church are. So far, everything has just been great. I get two meals a day. I get breakfast and then I choose between lunch and dinner. They also have physical therapy there and physical therapy in the pool. They have games, too. The people were nice and friendly. The move-in experience is great. Everybody is so kind. The other thing is they take it to the grocery store, Walmart and Publix. The staff are very generous, and they care. The food is excellent. We have soup or salad and four different kinds of stuff. You go in, they wait on you and they take your walker off to the side. I haven't seen anything wrong with it. It's just perfect. My room is excellent. It has been painted. I have a refrigerator and a stove. Everything is nice and clean. When I came to the place, they had my name on a sign up front. For free, they take you to the doctor's. I can either take the bus or I can get a private chauffeur. No tipping. For activities, they exercise every day. I'm just thrilled with it. The staff that came to my door to put my cable on had been excellent. They also have the emergency bell in the bathroom and the bedroom, so I feel quite safe. If a hurricane comes, they have storm windows. Everything is nice and clean. "

"Forest Trace is a unique form and friendly independent living facility. It was designed and built by a family that originally owned hotels and entertainment centers. They also have some assisted living facility setup more like a resort than a typical convalescent center. They have a dining room where they served your meals with a waiter. There’s a different menu every day and different things every day. They are very kind, and the cleaning staff does a wonderful job. They’re always disinfecting everything. They offer a lot of activities that you may or may not participate in up to your abilities. They have a lot of parking and many independent people there still drive. They have nurses and staff fulltime. They have bingo, book room and entertainment every night. They also have a beauty salon, nail salon, and a little store. The fun thing I think for everybody there is they have a happy hour, where they all come down and they have a cocktail before dinner. It’s just a very nice, pleasant facility with beautiful grounds, and a pool. They have a beautiful independent lifestyle. Every night they have something like playing piano, singing songs, comedians in the lobby, and plays and different entertainments in a separate building like an opera house. The food is really good. For breakfast there’s a huge buffet, and there is no lunch, but dinner is very fancy; they serve restaurant style. They have buses if they want to go somewhere and pick you up. My mother has a one bedroom. It has a small kitchen table for two, a refrigerator, a garbage disposal, a nice balcony, and a full bath. The bathroom has a special tub that’s easy for seniors to walk in and out of. Once a week, they come in and clean. The unit has its own washer and dryer, and you can do small laundry; very nice setting. This place is like a cruise ship. In terms of security, nothing has been stolen for the three years my mother has been there. It is not a memory care facility; people come and go. They have a gate, and they have a special permit. The security is not an issue. "
