"My parents moved into Waterside Landing, and they love it. The place is nicely renovated. My parents' apartment looks over the lake, which is beautiful. They have all the facilities that you need. My parents love the food, so they're just happy. They are in independent living with assistance from the nursing staff if needed. The staff members were amazing. They've made the transition easy for my parents and made it easy for me, even being out of state. They have multiple activities every day. They have a pool, a workout room, clubs, and entertainment. They have Medicaid."

"My mom is a resident of Five Star Premier Residences of Hollywood. The only thing in Five Star is you have one nurse and two CNAs on the floor and they're always in rooms, in the apartment, or whatever, so whenever my mom sticks right out the door, she doesn't always see somebody, and she doesn't like that. I'm like, "Mom, nurses are in rooms helping patients. It's not a receptionist." That's the only thing with Five Star that she doesn't like. I like that she's very near me. Everybody is very nice. I never have issues. They're very sweet. They are always accommodating. The staff is fine. They call me when there's an issue. I've eaten lunch with my mom. It's fun. The food is fine. The structures are fine. They have hurricane-proof glass. They just redid the carpets, painting, and wood floors, so it's very nice now. She plays bingo. They have somebody come in and sing. There are movies, but she doesn't watch them. I think it's expensive and it goes up every year, but they're all for approximately the same amount and they charge more if they have to administer medication which I think is ridiculous. I think it should be included."

"We toured Park Summit. The great thing is that I didn't even make an appointment. I went there. There was somebody available. They took us around, explained all the different things that the community has to offer, such as the gym, physical therapies, the dining, the menus, the activities, the housekeeping service weekly, the different alternatives as far as their one-bedroom apartment and two-bedrooms studios. They asked a lot of questions about my father-in-law just to make sure that he was able to live independently. The best part is that they said he could come here for three days and test drive the place. He did, and that is what really sealed the deal. They have breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner, so that was really good. He's moving any time soon. The place is ready. We were concerned because it is a pretty big place, and when they get older maybe it gets confusing to get to the dining room area. I mean, they had somebody who came and picked him up and took him there, and so that was good, but at some point he has to do it on his own. So they said, we have another place that is pretty close. It is easier for him to get to his gym, which is like steps away from his needs, because he loves going to the gym. They were very accommodating. The place is nice. It's neat and he got to an apartment. They had new bathrooms, a new kitchen, and fresh paint, so that was also very nice. It was a blessing. It was really good. I saw the menus. I asked my father-in-law, he said it was good."

"I'm currently in Five Star Premier Residences of Pompano Beach. It's a 10/10. It's clean, homey, friendly, and well planned. The apartment is excellent and very suited to my needs. The staff is excellent, caring, and qualified. They have daily activities, bingo, different workout programs, seated exercise classes, and evening entertainment from local professionals. The food is excellent, very well prepared, very well planned, and adequate for my needs."

"They treat your family member, as one of their own. My grandmother loved the staff, always had a positive interaction with them. She especially loved the dog/emotional pet time. When they brought the dogs around, it made her day every time. I also, have nothing but the best to say. The staff truly cares about the patients and you can tell 100%. "

"I really liked Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach. Their memory care facility seemed extremely nice as well. The staff was helpful. They have a well thought out program for caring for the seniors. The rooms were excellent. It was spotless. The dining area was very nice."

"I toured The Horizon Club, which could be one of my favorites. The only thing that I did not like was that it didn't have a full kitchen. They have two meals, the linens are cleaned, they have hurricane windows, and they do a cleaning. Another thing I like is that there is an emergency phone cord in the bathroom and the bedroom, which is very good. I like the place. Rachel was very, very nice. She was great; she took me around, showed me some things, and said new things would happen. Also, she sent me a thank-you card, which was nice. The dining room was very nice. It was big. It had nice tablecloths. The tables were all set and done. They did have a beauty salon there. They also have a gym, so you can go there if you need physical therapy or use the gym. It wasn't big, but you could still do it. They had a theater room. They have arts and crafts. They have outings, so the bus would take them shopping, to the mall, or something like that. They would have a schedule and a calendar, and you can decide what you want to participate in."

"We have a very large apartment at Vi at Aventura. It's a very nice place. It's not low end; it's high end. Then I found out that I could live there with the same level of care but without paying for it. Right now, we're still paying for this apartment; we paid $450,000. We can live in it, run out of money, and still stay until we die. We pay $5,600 a month, so it's a lot of money. We've been living here two years. We also have our own caregiver. We have about 1800 square feet, we have two bedrooms, and we have two-and-a-half baths. We live on the twelfth floor, and if I look out below me, I can see the Turnberry golf course, which is beautiful. If I look out in front of me, there's the ocean, and to the right we have the ocean and the intercoastal waterway; it's a beautiful view. The staff is perfect; you could never find people who are more helpful. They're awesome. They have activities for everything; there are games, movies, history, they have tours -- there's nothing left out here. Plus there are Zoom programs that you can watch. It's a community that's both Jewish and non-Jewish, and they celebrate all the holidays. We have a new chef now, and the food is so much better than it used to be. I didn't used to care for it, but I do now. They've made a deal with the county club down the block so that we can use any of their facilities that we don't have in our own, like basketball, the outdoor pool, or sports."

"My brother moved into The Forum at Deer Creek. We chose it for location. It's very clean. They offer you dinner in your room,or you can go to the dining room. They have a nice swimming pool and a lot of activities. So I think it's very, very nice. I had dinner there, and it was very nice. Everybody was very caring. It was very clean. He chose a very small apartment. It has everything he needs, so it's fine."

"We chose Five Star Premier Residences of Boca Raton for my mom, but she will be just moving in. The place is very nice, and mom is very happy that we chose the place. The apartment that she is moving in is very nicely done in terms of countertops, carpeting, and all the amenities in terms of her care. We are quite satisfied with what we chose. "

"My mom was at the independent living facility here and then she moved to their assisted living. The facility is very nice. It's excellent. They have lots of activities. They served three meals a day. You have your apartment and if you're in the assisted living, they have nurses that come every couple of hours to check on the patients. It's very nice. They have arts and crafts, bingo, cards, and musical during the day. There are a lot of activities and everybody was very friendly. "

"Grand Villa of Boynton Beach was very cute and very charming. A little bit older, but they had a pool and one of those wheelchair assists to help people get into the pool, which was a big plus for us. They had a large studio that you could share with another person if you wanted to reduce the cost, which was a big deal for us as well. So, there were other options for pricing and ways to make it work, because in a lot of other places, there's no wiggle room, but in this case, they had two options, which we found helpful. Everyone was really happy there. I think that was even the place where some of our residents said that they loved it. They had a movie theater and a hair/nail salon."
