The Best Nursing Home Communities in Broward County, FL

"Saint Johns Nursing Center is a Catholic hospital, and they've been very good to my mom. I like them, and they have been good to her. They have media things every couple of months. We get together with everybody, and they are very helpful. They are very good, and so far she has been great. They are hands-on so they keep me in the loop, and that is what I want. The food is not great. That would be the one thing that I would say that is kind of important when somebody is spending their last days. I am kind of bummed about that, but everything else is pretty good. If you want to pray, I like the fact that they have a chapel downstairs. They have nuns and a bishop that comes around, so I like that as well. "

"I've been wanting to write and say I am pretty surprised that your facility is so great! Your patients/residents are very well taken care of in every way. My sister has been there for several months and it seems all your staff know her and all the others' needs: I.e. which foods are preferred and best for their individual needs, what programs they enjoy (movies, games, sing-alongs, outings, etc)... free manicures and inexpensive hair salon. The variety and the joyful attitudes are truly wonderful. Of course, the residents need every type of medical, physical and emotional care, so someone may walk in and feel uncomfortable at first, as did I. But the care is truly amazing. Thank you!"

"I want to compliment Julie who is the social director at Life Care of Inverrary. She is great. She is so up and positive and that rubs off on all the residents/patients. My mother has been at this facility for 3+ years and Julie had made her days so much better. She is always happy,always smiling and joyful. "My father is staying in Wilton Manors Health & Rehabilitation Center. We chose that place because they had a four out of five stars rating. They are on point, and they are professional. The staff go beyond the call of duty. They are helpful, friendly, and very courteous. He does word puzzles, and he also has physical therapy for his legs. You get your money's worth there, and like I said they go beyond the call of duty. The place is close to my sister. She's only eight minutes away."

"I've been in three or four assisted living facilities before I got to Westchester sunrise. The building itself is absolutely breaathtaking. The staff genuinely cares and go out of there way to help the residents. The food i good but if you Don't like what's on the menu you can have other items the staff will prepare for us. I can't express enough my gratitude for being here at Westchester and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!!!"

"My mom is still at Regents Park Of Sunrise. It is a 24-hour skilled nursing facility, and that's what I like best. They need to improve the amount of direct care that they're able to give the patients. They are average in their caring. I don't see anything exceptional there. They appeared to have activities, but my mom is bedridden. Amenities seem to be very basic. My mom is in a shared room, so it's small. The upkeep of the place is average. I clean up my mom's area when I'm there. We are non-Medicaid, so we have to pay out-of-pocket expenses of almost $300 a day. Her initial stay was covered by Medicare, and now we are self-pay. In terms of location, I don't see a hospital nearby, but it is near retail shopping and a grocery store."

"My mom has been in NSPIRE Healthcare Tamarac for almost two years now. It's a good facility and my daughter visits there quite often. The layout is also good, but we really can't go in there much now because of COVID. She only meets us downstairs, but it's clean and accessible. The staff is attentive, friendly, courteous, and helpful. They just need to have more interaction and therapy for the residents."

"My wife was in Heartland for rehab. It was a very nice facility with nice people working there. She's been there before and she's comfortable there. They have activities like bingo, cards and physical therapy. They could improve on the quality of the food and a quicker response to the needs of the patients. "

"My mom is a resident and she been there for almost a year. Staffs members are friendly and kind , my mom likes it , she never complains about anyone. The nurses if anything is wrong with my mom they always call me and let me know on her condition. I always get an update on my mom and so far it’s been good. The staffs are on top and quick on taking care of the patients or any issues that might occur , they also keep the facility clean. I do recommend Harbor Beach nursing home to anyone that is looking for a place for a relative to live in or short term you are in a awesome care of all the workers in that facility. "The staff at Sunrise Health & Rehabilitation Center were really attentive to the residents and to the family. They were easy-going and confident. All the needed information for the welfare of the residents was verified by the staff. It is a one floor facility, the rooms were standard in size. I have had no problem with the place so far. "

"Manor Pines is a decent geriatric healthcare and assisted living facility. In the 1980's I was employed at the facility and when I worked there it was a great place to work at. The employees treated the patients well and the patients appreciated the care that was given. Never did I think that in the future, the same place I worked at would be a place that my family would need to use. My 99-year-old grand mother is living in as an independent in the assisted living care of the facility. She has her faculties and her mind is sound so she doesn't need as much care as others at the facility. The staff at Manor Pines provides excellent and respectful care for my grandmother. The home allows her to function independently and autonomously while providing her with the things she needs to maintain her independence. Things like transportation, an outlet for socialization, medical attention and a safe and secure environment. Last month, when we visited grandmother, she was happy and told us about one of the new girls that was assigned to her. Although her helper wasn't family, grandmother said the woman treated her like family and that meant a lot to all of us. "

"The majority of the rooms are semi private. The food is good and the staff are professional."

"My wife is currently at The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Sometimes it's very good, and sometimes I just don't know what was going on. It doesn't seem to have enough staff sometimes, but they're all very pleasant. I know they do have activities, but my wife just gets down to the gym to do some physical therapy, and that's all she's been doing."
