My mother lived at Mangrove Bay for 8 years before she recently passed away. She lived in two different apartments. Both were spacious and lovely. Each time the unit was cleaned, painted and the carpet replaced. She enjoyed the residents. She used regularly the transportation. The maintenance guys were great. They always took care of her. The ladies at the front desk had eyes on my mom and would call to give me updates. I had great peace of mind while she was there.

We toured Mangrove Bay. It was a nice walk-through. We've pretty much discounted it just because of their buy-in. I think we were looking at a $75,000 buy-in. The staff, she wasn't feeling well that day, and she even admitted it. We didn't consider it seriously. I knew they did have activities going on. It was a beautiful place, we did not see anything wrong with the facilities at all. Everything they had was beautiful and well taken care of.

We toured Mangrove Bay. It's the most expensive, but it's the one that we like the best. It's really bright and it has a lot of amenities. They said most people in their facility don't go to assisted, what they've got there is if you need help, they have a couple of agencies they can refer you to, and then you could get care for about $20 to $25 an hour, so it's an a la carte care where you're paying for services as you need them, whereas a couple of the other places charge depending on the level of care you need. They have a pool and they have really nice grounds. It was bright and there were a lot of rooms and places to congregate and do things. For us, an attraction there was that it has a full kitchen. It wasn't huge, but it had a kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator and so on. They're remodeling them and they do a nice job of remodeling them before people move in. We loved the units that we looked at. They were updated. Their representative was very knowledgeable. She worked in the field for a long time. She was very well informed. The one thing that they have is a food allowance and it's two meals a day. If you don't use it, you can upgrade the meals if you have money left on your account, so that appealed to us. They have a higher-end menu. They offer breakfast and dinner. They don't offer lunch, but they have like a deli where you can get food. They have a lot of people that just retired, so they're in pretty good health. The place was very well kept. They seemed to be updating.

We took a tour of Mangrove Bay and the facility was nice. One of the hesitancies we had was the $50,000 buy-in. It's seemed to be a very pleasant community, but we didn't feel that the value was there. The apartments were adequate and they were nice, just a little too small for us. We weren't that impressed. The staff was very pleasant. The place was clean and neat. We had lunch there and the food and the menu were adequate. The dining area was clean and neat. The outdoor spaces were pleasant and well maintained.

My mother was a resident at Mangrove Bay until this past July. Shortly following her passing her apartment was robbed, despite management insisting that 'nobody would enter her unit'. My sister and I were adamant about leaving her apartment untouched and made that clear to staff. Upon investigating the theft it became clear that her apartment was entered multiple times without our being notified, once to 'take in plants from the patio', another time to 'retrieve her emergency beeper', neither of which were priorities. Furthermore it became clear that not only did some 12 managers have the 'master' key but cleaning staff had access to it during working hours. The company has not cooperated fully with our family to find the culpable party from within their organization. This violation of privacy, of trust and the disrespect is impossible to comprehend, the loss of family heirlooms is unforgivable.

Mangrove Bay is very nice, but it's very expensive at about $7,000 a month. They offer a lot, like a swimming pool, a gym, rehabilitation, a fitness center, and they do a lot with people who come in and do talks and play music.

After looking at several facilities in the Palm Beach Gardens/Jupiter area, my Mom and I decided Mangrove Bay was the best option to meet her needs. My Mom spent her last 3 1/2 years at Mangrove Bay, and they were some of her best years. The entire staff was wonderful, and the facility is spotless. My Mom was always fussy about cleanliness and as a result, would often not eat in restaurants. Well, the staff had taken her into the kitchen, and as she put it, it was clean and organized. All of the staff were amazing and caring individuals. Even though my Mom was in independent living, they all kept an eye on her and called if they thought there were any issues, especially with her health. The apartments are beautiful and the entire facility is gorgeous. The grounds are amazing and the walking paths were clean and safe. The facility is located on the Riverwalk, which is a great option for taking a walk! They have a full schedule of activities and trips, as well as entertainment and special events. They have a pool, exercise, business, card, craft, library and movie rooms. Excellent cafe and dining room and food. I highly recommend this facility and could not be more pleased with everyone involved!

Mangrove Bay is very clean, it's on the intercostal, it's not in a congested area, and it's very close to the hospital and my doctors. The lady that does the interviews is fantastic. The dining room looks very nice, and it's upscale. They said I can have my dog there.

I was interested in independent living at Mangrove Bay. It's very upscale and very nice. However, it required an upfront fee, and you rent the apartments separately. The apartments were nice, and the staff members I saw were all very nice. It's right on the inland waterway and beautiful. You couldn't ask for a better location. It's off Highway 1. They have an outside pool, water exercises, happy hour, a bar area before dinner if you want to meet your friends, card tables, room where you can play games, and a library.

When it came time for my 91 year old mother to move to a senior community we visited all the nearby facilities. Mangrove Bay was the by far the best. It starts when you enter the front doors and your greeted by the friendly personal at the front desk, it's like entering a 5 star hotel. It's clean, pleasant and a happy environment. Many of the residents greet you as they walk their dogs outside or sit in the front where you see everyone coming and going. My mother has now lived there for 3 years where she began on the independent side. After a fall she required more help so we moved her to the assisted side of the building. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful the employees are who care for my mother daily. My mom gets physical therapy several times a week where they come right to here room. She is encouraged daily by the wonderful activity director who will come to her room and bring mom down for poker, games, trivia, parties and more. They have live entertainment 3 or 4 times a week that amuse and charm the residents and get them up dancing or moving. But it's even more than this, its the comfort of knowing my mother is well cared for with the most loving personal in the safest setting. They treat my mother with respect and kindness and they do this with a smile and compassion. I personally love going to visit my mother, it's enjoyable for me and I always feel welcome as well.

Mangrove Bay was a nice-looking place and very upscale. It seemed to be a very nice facility. Everybody there seemed to be very caring. It was a very beautiful place that had a beautiful view. There were lots of activities, and it was a very nice community.

I liked Mangrove Bay because the apartment was bright and sunny, and everything was in one building. I had a favorable impression, except that you have to walk to go into the dining room. They had a good activity program but I don't think they had a very good bridge program. The person who showed me around was very nice.

Mangrove Bay was very nice. It's just that my relative did not want to be in a facility at this time. He felt it was too restrictive and wanted to be in his own home. There was nothing wrong with the place. It was lovely and very upscale. The rooms were nice. They had lots of activities and great dining. Everybody was really nice and seemed happy. I was quite impressed. The staff was good.

I stayed overnight at Mangrove Bay, and liked it very much. One of the things that I inquired about was whether they had a maintenance staff in-house, and they did. The staff was wonderful, but the food could be a problem. I knew someone there who told me that sometimes it’s a problem. They give you a full $100 a month allowance for food, but the menu was very limited. There was a fine-dining menu; which I did not use. It was good, but much more costly. The general menu food only had two items on it. Each night there was one of them that I normally wouldn’t eat. Their physical exercise program was fantastic. I took the class for two days even though I only stayed overnight, and the teacher was a jewel. There was something like Trivial Pursuit -- with very few people participating -- that I did. It was ran by the exercise class teacher. I really liked it. I liked the location. It’s a really nice location where you can get out to see people if you’re walking, but the food there scared me.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit and stay at Mangrove Bay. We do have a wonderful Maintenance and Program Team. Our Fitness Instructor has been leading classes at our community in our large fitness center and heated pool for 14 years. We apologize for any confusion but are happy to say our dining program allocation is $400 per month instead of $100. Every evening, there are 3 specials to choose from as well as our always available menu, which ranges from hamburgers to lobster tails, allowing our residents flexibility in menu options. I invite you to contact me directly at 561-575-3123 or kwise@seniorlifestyle.com to discuss this with you further. Regards, Kathy Wise, Executive Director at Mangrove Bay

Mangrove Bay is too expensive. However, the people working there were nice, very courteous and very professional. However, when we found out they want $30,000 down, that was the end of the conversation.

Mangrove Bay is a very nice facility. Everybody is very friendly, and they understand my mother's situation. It is a good place for her. The rooms were of good size and in excellent condition. I have not eaten there, but she thinks the food is good.

I am on a waiting list for Mangrove Bay. I chose it because of its compactness, small advance money, they accept pets, and there were washers and dryers in every unit.

We did visit Mangrove Bay for an inquiry for my father. It was very nice, and everything was good. It was upscale, and my father liked it a lot but it was a little too much money for what we could afford. As far as we understood, we needed to put a big down payment and he wasn’t going to do it. They do have activities to do all the time for the residents, so that was nice. The food was very good, and the restaurant was very nice. The staff was very nice, and they answered our questions.

One of the facilities I seemed to like the most was Mangrove Bay. It is a large facility. The apartments were large as well, and the beds were very nice. I saw their menu, and it was fantastic. The staff seemed very pleasant, and the place looked nice. It had two patios, but they were very small. The people seemed a little healthier there.

The Mangrove Bay was OK, but they said, unless you're independent living, they didn't have anyone to watch people by the pool or anything else. So they had beautiful facilities, they had the pool and the gym, but they said, "Oh she can't use any of these unless she is being supervised," and that didn't seem right. The people didn't seem to be that organized.

We were really impressed with Mangrove Bay. The staff is wonderful. One of the things we liked about the place is that it didn’t feel like you were walking into a prison, but the rooms were really tiny.

Mangrove Bay was a very lovely place. I looked at a 2-bedroom apartment. It's a really nice place. The staff was very nice, helpful, and lovely. It's one big building, and everything is inside it. The food was delicious. The rooms were very nice. They're all up-to-date, clean, very bright and light, with a nice view from the balconies. They had a nice outdoor pool. It's very attractive. If you had to pay $5,500, and that did not include the food, if you would have to eat there, that would be another $1,000 a month at least. I like everything about it except the cost. The price is pretty steep. I would have liked it there for $3,500.

I went and visited Mangrove Bay for myself. I like that it was a fairly new facility. It was clean, neat and well organized. I thought the room sizes were very good. They were appropriate for all purposes.

My friend had her mom at Mangrove Bay and her mother is happy there. I had visited the facility and it's very nice. She has a really nice room there. The facility seems like a hotel. It's very upscale and it's nice. I know that they do things all the time to they keep the residents busy all day long. My friend's mom said that the food is very good there.

Mom moved into Mangrove Bay (assisted living side) in Feb. 2011 when she could no longer manage on her own due to her memory loss and difficulty completing tasks. She had extreme difficulty adjusting to her "new life" and had extreme mood swings. Despite her insults, the staff made her feel welcome and went out of their way to knock on her door and bring her down to participate in the activities there. We have found that the staff is well-oiled and skilled. Her meds are given on time and per instructions; the dining hall serves fresh, tasty food; activities are fun and stimulating; and the place is always immaculately clean. Our family feels relieved that Mom is in such a well operated place and know we are fortunate to have her live there.

My wife recently told me that we had to visit aunt Mable. Auntie is a 79 year old life long bachelorette. I must say that visiting Auntie in a "Nursing home" was not my first choice of fun on a saturday afternoon. Being the good spouse, I decided to tag along. When we arrived at Mangrove Bay, the term nursing home quickly left my mind. We entered the building and where greeted by marble everywhere accented by floor to ceiling pillars. There was a Front desk reception area rivaling any 5 star hotel. We where greeted everywhere we went and when the nurse on duty came to give aunt mable her medication, she apologized for the interuption. Auntie's room was spacious and when we where in her room she couldn't say enough about the staff and her new home. Auntie invited us for lunch by the pool. We where skeptical to be sure, nursing home food was not something I was ready for, but auntie insisted. Oh boy, Fresh baked breads sliced to order with sides ranging from garden salad to tomato mozzerella. I had a Turkey BLT on WARM honey wheat bread. Incredible, I told Auntie that she could invite us anytime, and I hope she does again soon.
