"Mom was at Brookdale West Boynton Beach and it was great there. We loved it. They were just so nice, but I think probably one of the best and the deciding factor was that they had a program to help you take out a loan against the house so that we had time to get mom's finances in order. They gave us the ability to help us pay while we had to sell her house for her to move in. She was in a studio apartment. It was adorable. It had two enormous closets, a private bathroom, and a pretty generous kitchen area, too. It was bigger than just a kitchenette. It was great and the people there were so nice. Another great thing is that they have a physical therapist that would do water aerobics with them and that was the only place that we found that had that. That was huge for us because she needed physical therapy. They had an outdoor pool for that. They also had an activities room and a small movie theater. It was great. There are tons and tons of activities. The meals were great. My mom loved them. It's like restaurant-style. They were accommodating. They even offered to give my mom a scooter. A resident has passed away and that resident had donated their scooter. They were just so helpful."

"This facility is the best that you will find anywhere. Spacious apartments, huge walk in closets, three meals plus a pantry where you can avail yourself of a snack, a sandwich, fruit, and water. Many activities which include trips and lunch out on Fridays. Staff is exceptional. Always ready to assist you."

"Brookdale West Palm Beach is a very nice place. It's big, and if you walk from one area to another on a rainy day, you don't get wet, which I thought was nice. They have a pool, and they were renovating it, I believe. There's a library, and I think they had a barbershop as well. We looked at their independent living community for my brother, and the person who gave the tour was wonderful. We sat down with him for a while, and we spoke about what we needed. He was very good, and he listened and offered what we actually needed. We just felt that the place was too big and offered more than my brother would need. I believe they had an entire kitchen area, which is one of the things that we said my brother doesn't need. He just needs a refrigerator and maybe a microwave. It was included in the apartment, and there was a stove, too. Everything was clean there."

"The rooms at Fountainview were smaller and didn't have a washer and dryer. The food was outstanding. It was delicious. The staff was very nice. He was a young man and I liked him. That's probably where I would go."

"Grand Villa of Boynton Beach was very cute and very charming. A little bit older, but they had a pool and one of those wheelchair assists to help people get into the pool, which was a big plus for us. They had a large studio that you could share with another person if you wanted to reduce the cost, which was a big deal for us as well. So, there were other options for pricing and ways to make it work, because in a lot of other places, there's no wiggle room, but in this case, they had two options, which we found helpful. Everyone was really happy there. I think that was even the place where some of our residents said that they loved it. They had a movie theater and a hair/nail salon."

"Verena at Delray was very nice and clean-looking. The people were dressed nicely, and the apartments were nice, too. I don't have any negatives. My friends also like it. There was an apartment with a full kitchen. The staff was very nice. It is near Delray Medical Center, and they have a pool, too."

"I toured Arcadia Gardens. They have just about everything. There seems to be a nice blend of people, mostly older women and a lot of them are on canes and things. They take nice care of themselves, but they have everything in there. They even have a movie theater, a restaurant, and a bar. I could see them drinking; they had cocktails hour. They have art classes. They have a gym, a library, and a room where you can meet people. For business or anything, you can use that room. Even more importantly, they have a wonderful staff who are very refined and welcoming, and they treat everybody very, very nicely. I looked at the one-bedroom and it was absolutely beautiful. It had a splendid kitchen, just right for an older woman. It had everything in it, all brand new stuff. It also had a screened-in porch, which was a very nice size for a small apartment. They have one bedroom, one bathroom, a huge storage closet, and a nice clothing closet. They have a very nice living room area and a dining room area as well that's connected. The kitchen has a counter and they had stools set up on the other side of the counter so that you could look into the kitchen. It was just beautifully done, and everything was sort of sparkling in there. The whole place is immaculate, which is very important to me. I'm a neat freak. Everything was just splendid. It was just lovely. There's parking like they have in the airport or in a lot of shopping malls where you're under the roof. You put your car there and it'll be safe and it'll be kept nice. It's beautiful. They invited me back to enjoy the music that they had there. There are terrific musicians. The people play cards. There's a little room to play cards. There's a big recreation room where they eat dinner and stuff. They have free breakfast, but I have to pay for my own Wi-Fi and electric utilities. "

"The gentleman who took us on the tour of Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens was very thorough in describing the services available, transportation, home help if necessary, and the ways to be transported. He was just very helpful. The library was beautiful. The dining room was beautiful. They had a nice therapy area and a workout area. The outdoor trails and pool area were beautiful. We were delayed a little bit because of another tour, but I know in that industry that's very, very common. That was the only complaint I have, and it was minutes, not hours. We were early, so it seemed longer. The dining room was very nice, very spacious, and very elegant."

"We chose Five Star Premier Residences of Boca Raton for my mom, but she will be just moving in. The place is very nice, and mom is very happy that we chose the place. The apartment that she is moving in is very nicely done in terms of countertops, carpeting, and all the amenities in terms of her care. We are quite satisfied with what we chose. "

"My brother moved into The Forum at Deer Creek. We chose it for location. It's very clean. They offer you dinner in your room,or you can go to the dining room. They have a nice swimming pool and a lot of activities. So I think it's very, very nice. I had dinner there, and it was very nice. Everybody was very caring. It was very clean. He chose a very small apartment. It has everything he needs, so it's fine."

"I really liked Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach. Their memory care facility seemed extremely nice as well. The staff was helpful. They have a well thought out program for caring for the seniors. The rooms were excellent. It was spotless. The dining area was very nice."

"I toured The Horizon Club, which could be one of my favorites. The only thing that I did not like was that it didn't have a full kitchen. They have two meals, the linens are cleaned, they have hurricane windows, and they do a cleaning. Another thing I like is that there is an emergency phone cord in the bathroom and the bedroom, which is very good. I like the place. Rachel was very, very nice. She was great; she took me around, showed me some things, and said new things would happen. Also, she sent me a thank-you card, which was nice. The dining room was very nice. It was big. It had nice tablecloths. The tables were all set and done. They did have a beauty salon there. They also have a gym, so you can go there if you need physical therapy or use the gym. It wasn't big, but you could still do it. They had a theater room. They have arts and crafts. They have outings, so the bus would take them shopping, to the mall, or something like that. They would have a schedule and a calendar, and you can decide what you want to participate in."

"They treat your family member, as one of their own. My grandmother loved the staff, always had a positive interaction with them. She especially loved the dog/emotional pet time. When they brought the dogs around, it made her day every time. I also, have nothing but the best to say. The staff truly cares about the patients and you can tell 100%. "
