"We visited Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens. My dad liked the vibe of it. The people are very friendly. It was affordable for him, and they had a beautiful room available. Everybody was great. The facility was a little dated compared to some of the newer ones, but overall, it was very, very clean. My dad would get a 1,100 square foot three-bedroom with two full baths. The atmosphere felt like you were on vacation."

"I toured Vi at Lakeside Village. The food is good. It's not a gourmet French restaurant or anything like that. What happens when you come in, they make sure that you are introduced to all the other people that live there as well as the staff, so that when you come in, you don't sit by yourself, you don't eat by yourself, and everyone is around you. Everyone is friendly. I wouldn't be going in there if I didn't have everything. The staff is friendly and learns everyone's name so that when they see you in the hall, they will call you by your name. The staff was wonderful. It's not far from where I am living now."

"We toured Discovery Village At Boynton Beach. I liked the size of the apartment, the space, and the kitchen. We saw the dining room. The meals are important to me, but I still do my cooking. It is convenient because I travel a lot. My husband doesn't. So, it's great to know he has a place that fixes meals. I don't need it all, but he does, and just for my peace of mind, that met all my needs. It's nice to have the cleaning service, and I would still do my laundry, even though they have people who do it for you. There are still many things that I won't give up because I'm very physically capable of doing a lot of stuff, but when I'm not around, it's great to know it's there. They served lunch and dinner."

"I toured Windward Palms. They had lots of big common areas. They had a beautiful swimming pool. They were cleaning the dining room, but you could see how spacious the dining room was. I only looked at one bedroom because that would be what I would need. The first one looked a little more spacious than the empty one they showed me. It seemed odd, but it would be adequate for one person. The staff members who assisted me were very nice. There was an activity in the library area; there was a small group there. The place has a nice layout and nice grounds. It wasn't too far off the road, but you really can't hear any traffic noise inside. I saw one other resident on her own besides that group that was doing the activity. It was a lady who had come out to walk her little dog and so I like that they can have pets. The staff also told me that they have quite a few people who live there that go out to work every day. It was so clean and bright. Everything looked fresh. It looked like it was in perfect shape. They also have a party once a week like karaoke or disc jockey music. "

"Mom was at Brookdale West Boynton Beach and it was great there. We loved it. They were just so nice, but I think probably one of the best and the deciding factor was that they had a program to help you take out a loan against the house so that we had time to get mom's finances in order. They gave us the ability to help us pay while we had to sell her house for her to move in. She was in a studio apartment. It was adorable. It had two enormous closets, a private bathroom, and a pretty generous kitchen area, too. It was bigger than just a kitchenette. It was great and the people there were so nice. Another great thing is that they have a physical therapist that would do water aerobics with them and that was the only place that we found that had that. That was huge for us because she needed physical therapy. They had an outdoor pool for that. They also had an activities room and a small movie theater. It was great. There are tons and tons of activities. The meals were great. My mom loved them. It's like restaurant-style. They were accommodating. They even offered to give my mom a scooter. A resident has passed away and that resident had donated their scooter. They were just so helpful."

"Addington Place of Jupiter was very luxurious and very clean. There was nothing I didn't like about it, except the rooms felt a little small for my dad. The staff was wonderful. The facilities were top of the line. They were very nice and very up-to-date. The rooms were adequate. They had full kitchens. It was nice."

"Grand Villa of Boynton Beach was very cute and very charming. A little bit older, but they had a pool and one of those wheelchair assists to help people get into the pool, which was a big plus for us. They had a large studio that you could share with another person if you wanted to reduce the cost, which was a big deal for us as well. So, there were other options for pricing and ways to make it work, because in a lot of other places, there's no wiggle room, but in this case, they had two options, which we found helpful. Everyone was really happy there. I think that was even the place where some of our residents said that they loved it. They had a movie theater and a hair/nail salon."

"We toured Mangrove Bay. It's the most expensive, but it's the one that we like the best. It's really bright and it has a lot of amenities. They said most people in their facility don't go to assisted, what they've got there is if you need help, they have a couple of agencies they can refer you to, and then you could get care for about $20 to $25 an hour, so it's an a la carte care where you're paying for services as you need them, whereas a couple of the other places charge depending on the level of care you need. They have a pool and they have really nice grounds. It was bright and there were a lot of rooms and places to congregate and do things. For us, an attraction there was that it has a full kitchen. It wasn't huge, but it had a kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator and so on. They're remodeling them and they do a nice job of remodeling them before people move in. We loved the units that we looked at. They were updated. Their representative was very knowledgeable. She worked in the field for a long time. She was very well informed. The one thing that they have is a food allowance and it's two meals a day. If you don't use it, you can upgrade the meals if you have money left on your account, so that appealed to us. They have a higher-end menu. They offer breakfast and dinner. They don't offer lunch, but they have like a deli where you can get food. They have a lot of people that just retired, so they're in pretty good health. The place was very well kept. They seemed to be updating. "

"We went and saw Grand Villa of Delray Beach East. We love it, but it's too expensive. We went over everything, then the staff showed us a studio and a one-bedroom. My husband loves it. The staff showed us everything. From what I saw, it was top notch, and my husband wanted to stay there, but we can't afford it. The staff member who gave the tour was an excellent woman. The room was clean, nice, and spacious. The dining room was nice. It had a white tablecloth. It's very clean."

"Verena at Delray was very nice and clean-looking. The people were dressed nicely, and the apartments were nice, too. I don't have any negatives. My friends also like it. There was an apartment with a full kitchen. The staff was very nice. It is near Delray Medical Center, and they have a pool, too."

"We toured Stratford Court of Boca Pointe. The information was complete regarding what they provide and the facets they have, as far as the future, as more help is needed. It was very informative. They told us the pricing structure and the different options that we would ask for. Garrett took us on a tour of the library, game rooms, and the bistro where they eat. The thing that struck us was that as we walked around the facility, the people volunteered the fact that they loved it there, and there couldn't be any better. You learn more from the people who are there."

"I really liked Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach. Their memory care facility seemed extremely nice as well. The staff was helpful. They have a well thought out program for caring for the seniors. The rooms were excellent. It was spotless. The dining area was very nice."

"The rooms at Fountainview were smaller and didn't have a washer and dryer. The food was outstanding. It was delicious. The staff was very nice. He was a young man and I liked him. That's probably where I would go."

"We went to visit a former neighbor at the Christian Manor. My friend's room was nice, but furnished with his own furnishings. It had a nice layout. They have a good location as far as being close to entertainment, like the Travis Center and downtown West Palm Beach. "
