These last two weeks she kept telling me that she could not wait to get back to Brookdale. She did not like the food or the care where she was being rehabilitated. She often told me that even though she could be cranky with the aides she cared for them and missed them. I have always been completely comfortable and satisfied with the care your staff has given my mom. It has been a blessing having her there and I would recommend Brookdale highly. "Ellison Independent Living of Lake Worth was all very functional. They had a bunch of activities and then they had a huge dining room. They seemed to be open with me and the place was clean, nice, and convenient for the families to come and visit (it's right off the freeway). It seemed well taken care of. The lady was really sweet. When we talked about the initial costs, she was amenable to working with me. So that was good, not just for me, but for other people knowing that they work with all of them."

"Everything here was very nice. Actually my mother just passed away last week, but she enjoyed herself there. The room was beautiful, and they kept it clean. They did laundry for her once a week. The food there was excellent. I actually ate a couple of times there, and it was very, very good."

"Verena at Delray was very nice and clean-looking. The people were dressed nicely, and the apartments were nice, too. I don't have any negatives. My friends also like it. There was an apartment with a full kitchen. The staff was very nice. It is near Delray Medical Center, and they have a pool, too."

What she likes, and what I like, are the lectures that they give there. I have eaten there. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was good. It seemed as if the staff does a good job."

"We visited Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens, and it was very nice. I thought it was a clean and well-run facility. They had us in for lunch, and the food was good. The people seemed happy, the rooms were nice, and the facility was clean. It was excellent. The staff was friendly. It was all very good. "

"My brother moved into this facility. We chose it for location. It's very clean. They offer you dinner in your room,or you can go to the dining room. They have a nice swimming pool and a lot of activities. So I think it's very, very nice. I had dinner there, and it was very nice. Everybody was very caring. It was very clean. He chose a very small apartment. It has everything he needs, so it's fine."

"It was a really nice place. The facility was beautiful. The people were nice. I referred someone there and her father went in there. Two weeks ago, we had lunch and her father said, "I wish you brought me there a year earlier." He really likes it. They have lot of activities like arts and entertainment. That place was really nice. I'm thinking of going to Holland next year and I have to go and see them again to see if they could take my husband for a month. What I like best about this facility is that during the visit, they showed us around and they're very knowledgeable. It was just a warm place and I really like it."

"The thing that first impressed me about this facility is that it is small enough that the owners and staff know everyone by name, and also is able to know their entire history (and therefore can respond immediately if a person has a change in condition or needs medical attention!), as opposed to other places which might be bigger and more expensive, but a person is just a number and can get lost in the crowd. The other great thing I found about this facility is that one of the owners (Renee) is a nurse, and opposed to other facilities which might have a home health nurse who comes in once a day to check only on the residents who are on her caseload, Renee is there every day and can attend to each patient at the facility. Having a licensed nurse on staff is such a plus! Equally impressive is that most meals are prepared from scratch and that the cleanliness of the facility is a top priority. Never once have I walked in and been accosted by an odor. Cleaning seems to take place 24/7, which is amazing, and the staff to resident ratio is much better than at many other facilities. "

"We are residents of The Court at Palm Aire. It's really OK. I think it is as good as any community. Most of the staff is very good. We don't have any real complaints about them or the facilities. You get three meals a day here, which is unusual for most of these places. Food is is not gourmet, but it is adequate. They have lots of activities like shows, movies, and lectures. If you want to be busy, you can be very busy here all day long. They have a swimming pool, a beauty salon, and a movie theater."
