"I toured Vi at Lakeside Village. The food is good. It's not a gourmet French restaurant or anything like that. What happens when you come in, they make sure that you are introduced to all the other people that live there as well as the staff, so that when you come in, you don't sit by yourself, you don't eat by yourself, and everyone is around you. Everyone is friendly. I wouldn't be going in there if I didn't have everything. The staff is friendly and learns everyone's name so that when they see you in the hall, they will call you by your name. The staff was wonderful. It's not far from where I am living now."

"We toured Discovery Village At Boynton Beach. I liked the size of the apartment, the space, and the kitchen. We saw the dining room. The meals are important to me, but I still do my cooking. It is convenient because I travel a lot. My husband doesn't. So, it's great to know he has a place that fixes meals. I don't need it all, but he does, and just for my peace of mind, that met all my needs. It's nice to have the cleaning service, and I would still do my laundry, even though they have people who do it for you. There are still many things that I won't give up because I'm very physically capable of doing a lot of stuff, but when I'm not around, it's great to know it's there. They served lunch and dinner."

"Mom was at Brookdale West Boynton Beach and it was great there. We loved it. They were just so nice, but I think probably one of the best and the deciding factor was that they had a program to help you take out a loan against the house so that we had time to get mom's finances in order. They gave us the ability to help us pay while we had to sell her house for her to move in. She was in a studio apartment. It was adorable. It had two enormous closets, a private bathroom, and a pretty generous kitchen area, too. It was bigger than just a kitchenette. It was great and the people there were so nice. Another great thing is that they have a physical therapist that would do water aerobics with them and that was the only place that we found that had that. That was huge for us because she needed physical therapy. They had an outdoor pool for that. They also had an activities room and a small movie theater. It was great. There are tons and tons of activities. The meals were great. My mom loved them. It's like restaurant-style. They were accommodating. They even offered to give my mom a scooter. A resident has passed away and that resident had donated their scooter. They were just so helpful."

"Grand Villa of Boynton Beach was very cute and very charming. A little bit older, but they had a pool and one of those wheelchair assists to help people get into the pool, which was a big plus for us. They had a large studio that you could share with another person if you wanted to reduce the cost, which was a big deal for us as well. So, there were other options for pricing and ways to make it work, because in a lot of other places, there's no wiggle room, but in this case, they had two options, which we found helpful. Everyone was really happy there. I think that was even the place where some of our residents said that they loved it. They had a movie theater and a hair/nail salon."

"My mom is in Arden Courts A ProMedica Memory Care Community. They've been very accommodating, very sweet, and understanding as my mom is one of the combative types of dementia. They gave her a 30-day trial period to see how she worked out, and they were able to help her, and she is getting better and not so combative. They're very clean, and they're also very friendly. They make it very comfortable, but creative. They have different stations where they can do activities, and they have activities, in the morning, afternoon, and at night, that they do with them. They do a lot with them and they're not just sitting there. The rooms are small, but I don't think most of them are in the rooms most of the time. The staff has all been really good. They have all different activities all the time, and my mom likes to interact with people. They learn new things as far as places around the world. I think they do cards and they do stimulating activities. They have different places around where they can go and bring back their memory as far as with tools or baby dolls with changing tables and stuff. They have activities that bring back good memories and have them physically doing stuff. I think the value for money is maybe a little bit more than average, but it's worth it because you get what you pay for. They're very good, attentive, and aware. "

"We went and saw Grand Villa of Delray Beach East. We love it, but it's too expensive. We went over everything, then the staff showed us a studio and a one-bedroom. My husband loves it. The staff showed us everything. From what I saw, it was top notch, and my husband wanted to stay there, but we can't afford it. The staff member who gave the tour was an excellent woman. The room was clean, nice, and spacious. The dining room was nice. It had a white tablecloth. It's very clean."

"My mom has been at Moore Care for several years now. We're pretty satisfied with where she is. I think she's been there the longest more than anybody. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last 2009 and we were new to it all. We just had to scramble really quickly and find a place. The first place we had didn't work out at all. With Keisha, it works for us. It's not also far from where we all live. When I was there, I've seen the food. It looks pretty good. I would eat there but that's for the residents. Mom is on a particular type of diet but then they do a little appetizing kind of meal, not bland. She has trouble swallowing so she prefers soft stuff. They also exercise range of motion but my mom is unable to do all that stuff. I don't think she's able to walk that far anymore. She's in her wheelchair now. But they get her up the walker and walk her up and down the front of the facility, that's probably the best that she can do. We just get her in and out of there. My mom has come to life. Couple of times she's been in the hospital, wasn't even talking and we were already making arrangements to bury her. She went back to Moore Care with hospice. They spent with her a little more time and more care has really brought the best out of her. I can't thank them enough for what they've done to my mom. I'd refer people there if they ask me a place for their elderly parent or loved one. We're happy with them. I'll give them 5 plus stars. "

"My mother has been a resident for over a year after spending 11 months at two other facilities. Palms Edge is much nicer than her two previous locations. My mother is clean and cared for, staff is friendly and gets to know both the residents and their families. When an issue arises, they are quick to notify as appropriate, with explanations; this can be a medication change, a minor injury, or other problems. I have been there at various times, during and outside of business hours and have never had an issue that was not quickly and correctly resolved. The facility director and nursing director are both very knowledgeable and accessible to the residents and families. I'm very thankful that we found Palms Edge to care for my mother as her health is declining."

"My mom has been residing at Arden Courts in Delray Beach for the past year. This is a memory care facility and that is all they do. Her care providers provide a loving environment for my mom. Some of her caregivers are: Shedly, Islaine, Nirva, Missy, Mary B, and Carline. They care for her and all her daily needs like she was their own mother. They are warm, kind and patient. The care providers show up every day and do the best they can do every day. All these care professionals have been working for Arden Courts for many years. Have we had some bumps come up in the last year? Of course we have! The biggest benefit is that I can bring up my concerns with the Executive Director, Christina, either by email, phone or in person and she will get to the bottom of it, or at least explain to me what is going on. For me, it is how they go about listening to my concerns and when necessary, fixing the issues that I bring to the table. I go with my mother to the Activities Center where Marla is the gem of this program! Marla and GiGi both work hard every day to ensure that the residents sing, exercise and do other things each and every day. They have live music too! They even provide an afternoon snack! I live out of town and come to visit my mom every other month. I have spent 8 to 10 hours each day visiting with her. I know everyone who lives in her neighborhood and have interacted with all the residents. I find my mom to be clean and her hair brushed. She wears clean clothes every day. I have also observed the other residents to be clean. When a resident has an accident, the staff change the resident, and the clothing goes directly into the laundry room. I have observed the staff’s nightly routine of cleaning up my mom before bed every night. One of the things Arden Courts tries to do is keep my mom out of her room unless it is bedtime. This way they can keep an eye on her and monitor her to be sure she does not fall. Falling is a big concern for anyone who has an elderly parent. This is the third memory care home my mom has lived in. We are not an easy family since we try to keep good tabs on our mother and hold the facility accountable for caring for her. We remain happy with the care she is receiving at Arden Courts Delray Beach!"

"Discovery Village at Palm Beach Gardens had three levels of care. They had an indoor swimming pool with their PT department. The room was very spacious and very open. It's an open concept and had wonderful bathroom amenities and walk-in showers. The staff was very nice, very friendly and very outgoing. Everybody we passed in the hall said hi, how are you and introduced themselves. It was very nice. The dining facilities were very pleasant and very comfortable. The smells were good. It was clean and tidy."
