"I went to Bella Mar at Royal Palm Beach. I did not dislike anything. I didn't think it was an overwhelming experience, but I thought it was a good experience. The room seems to be accessible. The director who assisted me during the tour was very good. He was friendly enough, and he interacted with his staff. The facility seemed very clean. They have a gym and an outdoor space and offer therapy."

"We are impressed by The Capstone at Royal Palm on a whole. It is within close proximity to where my sister is living. My sister would be able to go and visit and help my mother get established down there, so it's mostly proximity to a relative's location. Everything is nice. You have a nice one-bedroom with a separate living area and a kitchenette. It is a nice-sized space. I forget the actual square footage, but it is very adequate. It has nice sunlight. It overlooks a garden outside. They post a monthly schedule of activities on each day, and they have trips off the grounds and everything else, so that's what we really wanted for my mom, because she had been living alone, and we wanted a little more socialization for her, and it seems like they have all that. Every staff member we met was very nice and they seemed concerned. I haven't eaten there, but when I speak to my mother, she says she's enjoying the food, so that's saying she's happy there. As for the condition of the facility, it's very clean and neat. Everything is relatively new. It's a very good price."

"My mom just left Manor Care West Palm and I was very happy with her stay. The therapy was excellent. The nursing staff are good. Many of them have been there a long time. The facility was clean but it looks like an older facility. The food was not bad. My mom was a picky eater. Overall, I was satisfied and if mom needs a nursing home again, she will return to Manor Care. "

"Everything was excellent at Barrington Terrace. It was a very nice place. The staff seemed to be very knowledgeable and very friendly. Most of all of them have been there for a long time, so I think that says something for this community. The rooms werebeautiful. I have already chosen a room and waiting for one to become available. The room is very small but fine for what I need. For activities, they have bingo, card games, movie night, and religious night with mass, too. They had a wonderful menu with a big selection where you can select whatever you want."

"Grand Villa of Boynton Beach is a small, beautiful, friendly community. The dining room is very quaint. The entrance is has nice tiled and wood floor. My mom is in a brand-new room that they have just remodeled. They are remodeling the rooms with wood floors and carpeting and new refrigerators, too. The nurses have been wonderful. My mom has only been there for a month, but we have been having a great experience. She has Parkinson's with the onset of dementia, and they distribute her meds on time. They have entertainment all the time and good food, although it is not gourmet. They had a meeting of things that needed to change, like Mom has congestive heart failure, but they didn't have anything on the menu with low salt, so they changed things to provide them with additional items. This community has just changed over to Grand Villa, and they're doing a nice job. I'm happy for them. The people are very happy there. "

"The facility is pretty new. It's only a few years old and they maintain it really well. My grandfather chose this place. This is the first one he saw and he just really liked it. We just wanted him to decide for himself where he wanted to go. But I think he chose it just because it had good energy. It was clean and new and the staff was friendly."

"I toured Symphony at Delray Beach. The first apartment I saw was a model, very beautifully appointed and the bathroom was huge, very big which is good. The people were very easy to talk to. The place is very clean, very nice. They don't have a pool. It was a pleasant experience. I met a person who cuts hair, which is very nice. The salon is very neat and very clean."

"This is a very comfortable home for my parents, they have lived here for several years and I can honestly say they are happy. They have put on weight, their more out-going, great activities and I have tried the food on more than one occasion without complaints. The in-house doctor is very attentive and keeps me update with any changes on my parents and they are not over-medicated. I would highly recommend this place for any relative "

"Moore Care is like heaven here on earth. Everything is fantastic. I love it there and my husband does too. He has dementia so he thinks he works there. He was a security guard before therefore he thinks he's security. He just fits in and loves the people there. I'm so happy to see my husband getting great care. I've seen the food too and watched them eat. It smells so good. They have activities there as well. They have art and play domino and bingo. Matter of fact, he runs the bingo. He thinks he's in charge of it. It's like another world for him and for me. His room is gorgeous. He has a roommate, and they get along perfect. They have a TV in there. My husband has his nice bed, a dresser with all his clothes and stuff in there. It's ALWAYS so neat when I go in there. In addition, Keisha is so caring and loving. She takes all of us like family. She calls me every day to make sure me and my sisters are fine, that I work on time and I get back home. She's been asking about my sisters too. It's difficult for me to be home alone without him but to drive up there and see that he's happy, it makes me happy. I've never seen a place like this. It's absolutely phenomenal. "

"The Discovery Village was very nice, although it was a little on the formal side. The staff was very friendly. We saw a few apartments that were very small and had washers and dryers in the units. "

"The best memory unit for someone who needs one is Arden Courts of Delray Beach. The residents can go outside on their own. There's 12 doors they can go in and out of wherever they want. They don’t feel like they are locked in, but they sort of are because there's a fence. It's gated, but you don’t see the gate. They have bushes there. So it’s a nice feeling of being outside without feeling like you are fenced in, but they are. They have staff that are very well trained, and they keep their staff. They have been doing this memory care facility quite a while, and they know what they are doing. "
