Independent Living Communities in Deerfield Beach, FL

"The Court at Palm Aire has both assisted and independent living, but I'm working to get into assisted living. I've been there two or three times. Their rooms were very large, the food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. It's a good location, their blast system goes to every one of my doctors, and it looked to me like it was a nice group of people. The one thing I don't like about the Court is that they'll require me to wear long pants for dinner, and I like to live in shorts but it's something that I can live with. "

"I have already signed in here. I have chosen it. It was very good. I’ve put my deposit in and I’m waiting for a place. Why did I like it? Well, it meets what I need, and I don’t feel like I’m moving away since it is still on my place. It seems like a very nice place, so that’s why I chose it. I saw some people playing cards. I went twice there. I did a complete tour and it was very nice and very clean, and I think they have a lot to offer."

"My mom and dad lived there for 3 years and then my dad passed away. Mom mom has had a wonderful experience at Park Summitt even though my dad is no longer here. She feels safe, well taken care and enjoys dinning with her friends. She is 95 years old. Big compliments to the dinning room. Great improvement in food and service since Covid. Thank you all for taking care of my mother."

"The apartments at Verena at Delray were nice. The residents and the workers were outstanding and very friendly. My mom likes that the washer and dryer would be inside her apartment as well as the size of the bedroom. She just likes the whole community. They have a nice swimming pool, too. When we visited, they had a happy hour (which she loves) and drawing activities."

"I have a neighbor who stays at Forest Trace. She showed us around, and we became interested in the facility for ourselves. The apartment was very roomy. The food was very good. The staff we met was very pleasant and professional. The dining area is beautiful and feels like being in a cruise ship. They have a happy hour with a piano player every day for a couple of hours. They have a board in the lobby which shows all of the activities for the day, like shows every week and movies every day. Plus, they have a van that takes the residents out to dinner. It is a very active community."

"I moved into Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale. The staff here is wonderful, and I found many friends among the residents. I've been asked to be an ambassador, to welcome new members because they think I'm personable. They do accept dogs. They have a very small dog park here on the campus. My apartment is roomy with a kitchen. The floors are hardwood and I have a living room with a credenza and a television. I have a beautiful view of the boat harbor and the ocean. I'm doing a small loveseat, a couple of chairs, and lamps. I have a full-size bed, a big dresser, two nightstands, and a chair. Between the bathroom and the bedroom are two closets on either side, which is really nice. My bathroom is very large and very pretty. We have aqua aerobics, yoga and meditation, news and reviews, Jewish services, gardening club, bridge, movie nights, jewelry making, cheese and wine, and discussion groups."

"I toured, and it's a beautiful place. The outdoor ambiance is excellent. The one who toured me was excellent. She was very friendly, very courteous, and very thorough. I saw several room sizes and they were all very nice. There are parts of it being remodeled, the lighting, and the flooring were excellent. If I were to narrow it down to two properties, that's one of them. One of the reasons I like it so much is that you have so much more outdoor facilities because it's very spread out, so it's not like you feel like you're living in a condominium. You feel like you're living in a big home. Once you get out of your room, you're in a lot of open space. You can walk around, they have outdoor pools, and it is very nice, it's an old property, but nice. I didn't have a chance to eat there, but the restaurant is nice, clean, and well set up. It's not somewhere I'm going to be spending a lot of time, except for breakfast, dinner, and things like that. I would say it's good and pleasant. There's an agenda for activities, they have daily activities like cocktails or get-togethers. I am very active myself, so I didn't pay a lot of attention to that. I do Pilates classes, I play golf, and I swim, so I didn't pay too much attention to that."

"My friend is in here and it's excellent. The room is fine and he likes it and is very comfortable there. There are plenty of activities. He likes the food. There's a nice variety and it's not the same thing all the time so that's good."

"I'm a resident of Grand Villa of Boynton Beach. The staff members are very responsive and very polite. They do the job really well. They have activities on a daily basis. They usually have a couple of things, but I don't participate in too many of them. This facility is really geared for people that don't really attend to a lot of these activities, but they provide them, and they're very good about providing them. It's not their fault if a lot of people don't show up. Some people do show up, but not a lot. The food is OK. It's not A1 but considering the price range that this facility is in, I think the food is pretty good. It also often depends on the chef we have, and right now we have a good chef. My apartment is really nice. They did a great job in renovating. I don't know how long ago they did it, but it's really gorgeous, and it's really quite outstanding. They have a couple of amenities. They have a main living room on the first floor, and they have a small library. Then they have another library and living room on the fourth floor. They keep books there as well, and they have a book club where people can exchange books and occasionally, they bring in new books. This is one of the least expensive ones that you're going to get this quality."

"It was very nice, had friendly staff, and had very nice apartments. The room was like a condo, and they have some that are bigger than others. They are very comfortable and just enough for what you need. The food was good, and they have a formal and casual dining. They have different places you can eat at on the property. They have concerts, excursions to the beach, exercise like tai chi, and everything you can think about. "

"Windward Palms was very nice, and the rooms were nice; however, I felt the people were a little less friendly and less welcoming than other places. I didn't think my mom would fit in well there. The staff member who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but it wasn't as big as the others. The dining place looked nice. The place was more upscale. The surroundings were very nice."

"Brookdale West Boynton Beach was a nice place. But this was a little bit too small of what I was looking for at the time. The only available thing was a studio. I saw a couple of people, and they were going to have lunch. I was in the dining room area. It was extremely clean and spacious. The young lady who showed me around was professional and patient. She was awesome. They did have a beauty salon where you can get your hair done. I thought that was an awesome idea. I saw a pool area that was nice if you want to go swimming. When I went in, I felt safe there. The parking area was good."

"It is a beautiful place. That's the one we were looking at. The apartment was delightful and very nice. Everything else was nice and clean, and the people were friendly. We saw the apartment and we liked it. We came out thinking about it, but we're not sure about what we're going to do yet. The room is quite large, and it has a front room with a balcony, where you can look over the area. It's a very attractive place. The staff who toured us was very good. She was very intelligent. She explained everything in detail, and we understood everything she meant. The dining area looked lovely. The place itself was extremely clean. All we did was looked at the room, talked about the prices and we left. We didn't do anything because my husband is 100 years old. However, she explained everything to us, and she made it very, very interesting."

"I have been here over a year and I love the staff and the activities. I really enjoy the view from my balcony and the staff here helps me in any way they can. Overall, there's always room for improvement but overall I would recommend it to anybody looking to live here."
