"Atlantic Shores Retirement Residence was a very good place. But the only problem is they never answered back to us about my friend's cat. She wants to live with her cat, and they never answered back. She likes the place. The room that they showed us was very nice. There's only one bathroom for two people, but that's okay. It's a shared room, which is the biggest one. They have activities, but they don't do any movement, and there's no physical activity in there. It is only for people who are not active like my friend. I like the place. It's very cozy. It's like a big house. The staff who toured us was a very nice and capable to answer all my questions. I also met the head of the CNAs. They were very good. The facility is probably for somebody who doesn't want to move and who wants to be in bed 100%."

"This was another one that I visited and it was very nice. I also liked that one. The facility was very good, and I could tell that the people were very happy there. However, I was not that enthusiastic about the beach because I can no longer be exposed to the sun. I saw their schedule of activities. They had card games. They brought them to shopping malls and casinos."

"It is a very nice and upscale place. My mom is in a clean and nice quad room where there are four beds. They have bingo, an Elvis impersonator, and they play cards. They also have a lady selling jewelry and a pool for the residents. They also have a library and a lot of places to sit, and an atrium with plants. It's a really pretty place. The staff is nice and polite, but they're not very helpful or informed with what steps need to be taken, like they don't guide you very well. That's the one complaint I have."

"While driving through the region, we decided to stop in and visit Stratford Court of Boca Pointe, since we were looking for an assisted living facility where my friend's mother could live. We were impressed that they could accommodate our last-minute visit. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. The tree-lined walkways were peaceful and easy to navigate. The main area seemed clean and well tended with a beautifully designed décor. The furnishings were comfortable and easy to access. The staff was very nice and seemed to treat the residents kindly - many of whom were not ambulatory. They seem to be able to accommodate most senior circumstances with a variety of living options available. We knew my friend's mother would really like the little park area outside, which was close to the main door. We also thought it looked as though the staff could easily manage all of the residents, which is important to us. The fact that the facility is so close to so many cultural entertainment venues makes it easy for the seniors to get out regularly to enjoy them. They also have a variety of the typical activities that assisted living facilities usually have, including card games, socializing, films. reading and other hosted events. The rooms we saw were all nicely decorated - and better looking many we've seen before. The food looked well-prepared, appetizing and also smelled delicious. The dining room were comfortable and spacious, with very nice furnishings and a bright decor. The exercise room could accommodate many and offered well-maintained equipment and regular exercise classes. The book selection, which is important to my friend's mother - was quite nice. Overall, the facility looked like a nice place to live - we were very impressed with it - compared to others we've visited recently. "

"My mom and dad lived there for 3 years and then my dad passed away. Mom mom has had a wonderful experience at Park Summitt even though my dad is no longer here. She feels safe, well taken care and enjoys dinning with her friends. She is 95 years old. Big compliments to the dinning room. Great improvement in food and service since Covid. Thank you all for taking care of my mother."

"This is where my mother now lives. The food menu there is far more appealing than the other places. They serve nice and sophisticated food. My mother is very happy with the staff there. They are very nice and sensitive. Nobody is treated any differently than anybody else. Everyone in that place is very nice and they seem to know what they are doing. They had lots of activities. The first day that she moved in there was some kind of drum beating activity. They had bingo. My mother plays bridge. They have exercises in the pool. They go to the mall. I have no complaints at all. They are doing a really good job."

"I went to see Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale. I liked this place. The actual apartments were nice. The facility was very nice. It seemed like they had a lot of interesting activities, and the staff was very nice and very friendly. The residents seemed to be quite happy there. Also, it's located in the city, so you get easy access to the city. It was like an apartment building. It didn't have a big campus, but it had a pool, a gym, and physical therapy. They had a lot of different levels of service depending upon what your needs are. My concern about it was that it's quite expensive for what you're getting."

"Everything about Forest Trace is absolutely 5-star. It’s like a 5-star hotel; it’s magnificent and it’s clean. It is really nice there and amazing. They have bingo, a swimming pool, and exercises classes. I absolutely recommend the facility. The lady that I worked for is very happy there "

"We had a great experience. The business coordinator that we spoke with was just very knowledgeable. She was very comforting and very helpful. We've kind of been going through a crazy nightmare with my mom, and both my sister and I visited and we left there just feeling hopeful. The people there were happy, and the people that worked there were friendly. The place was clean. The rooms were nice. Yesterday they were having a huge fundraiser/baby shower for one of their employees, so a lot was going on. There were a lot of people sitting in the front. They did that in their ice cream parlor. She showed us all of the things that they had, the library and the movies. We're highly considering putting our mother there. The atmosphere seemed positive. The inside was immaculate and it looked like a lot of work had been going into it. The outside of the building is old, so they could maybe use some pressure cleaning and painting, but it certainly wasn't something that you pull up to and would look at and think it was horrible. They could freshen that up a little, but I feel like they're working on that."

"My parents have been living here for about three months. The property is pretty nice but the apartments were nicer and updated and we got my parents the biggest two-bedroom apartment they have there. They seem to be in the ball as far as the medical staff and the medications for my dad but they also have nurses every couple of days to check on them. I looked at a few but this was the best of the ones that I looked at based on the price tag also."

"Everybody at Covenant Living of Florida has been friendly and helpful. I couldn't say enough about Annie, who is the sales director. She held our hands through the entire process of moving my parents in. The facilities are all very well maintained and it's like living on a cruise ship. Having everything on site stood out the most to us. Everything is at your fingertips. Three activities are going on every hour. There's wellness, health, fitness, strength, and balancing, caregiver classes, all sorts of crafts, woodworking, flower arrangement, wreath building, plus games like mahjong, bunco, and Wii bowling. There's just so much to do. Then there are multiple dining rooms. There's a bistro, a coffee shop, and the main dining room. The food in the main dining room is average, the one from the bistro is above average and has great service, while the coffee shop offers very good food. It's a few hundred thousand dollars to move in because you're in a life contract. It's $5,000 a month for the unit they are in, but they're in a two-bedroom, two-bath. It's about 1500 square feet with a large 18 by 18 patio and 10 foot high ceilings. It's nice and it comes with maid service."

"My visiting experience was very good. I thought everything was nice, comfortable, and cheerful looking. I definitely liked the appearance of it. I saw one model room and liked it, and the amenities were also very nice and sufficient. The room that I saw seemed to be quite a distance from everything else, so there would be a lot of walking around."

"Our mother has lived in this assisted living facility for three years. We are so very very happy with the care and the facility. They are so wonderful, everyone who works there seems so happy and very polite to all the residents. We visit our mother, so we do see what goes on with everyone. The nursing staff is exceptional with our mothers care as well as with the other residents. We have to say unfortunately in the assisted living part our loved ones are not easy to handle, they can get very mean and sometimes will go after the nurses. We have seen this a lot, there is not one time we have seen the nurses loose it on them, they handle the situation with love and care, lol better then we could. Not only do they help our mother but often have to help us understand why this is happening to someone we love so very much!!!! We can't think of another place that we would trust our mother the most important person in our lives. "

"Just from first impressions, the place is kept clean and provides a welcoming atmosphere. The security guard at the gate was very informative and courteous. He allowed me in to talk to the seniors inside about Toys for TOTS, a non-profit organization that collects toys for the holidays to give out to low-income families and their children. The elderly were very sweet and had brought some donations. Everyone seems very pleasant and happy living here. No concerns were expressed. I asked an elderly woman about her home here at The Palace and she expressed how grateful she was that Publix was a short walking distance. She said she couldn't drive due to poor vision, but she also wanted to maintain her independence. This Palace was a right fit for this sweet woman. She could get her shopping done while living in an environment with others just like her.Another gentleman approached me and said he wanted to leave his previous living facility. His previous nursing home was filled with nurses that he described as 'rude and unapologetic.' However, at the Palace, he recovered from his medical conditions and was able to live in with his wife while having weekend visits with his grandchildren. He mentioned that at the nursing home, he feared his grandchildren could catch a communicable disease.Overall, The Palace at Weston Senior Living is a wonderful place to reside. With all the gardening always being maintained and with such new facilities, one couldn't find a nicer place to live at. Friendly staff and residents equals a happy retirement. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to move in with sweet senior residents. "

"My father, age 91, was here just over a month after suffering a devastating head injury in March 2022. The services offered were good and sometimes great but other times really left much to be desired. Bobby is an amazing chief of operations that always has a smile and gets things done quickly, as quickly as is in his capacity. We ran into language issues w/ staff caring for my dad as well as poor follow through when specific tasks were requested. All in all, they are doing the best they can with what they have, given the high turn-over work environment we live in. God bless the dedicated hard-workers in this industry - true Angels among them that help our elderly get by day to day. Yes, I would recommend this establishment."

"We decided to visit Vi at Aventura assisted living facility as we really liked the Miami area and it is convenient for my friend's mother's family. We liked that it is a full-service, safe high-rise building. The views of the city were spectacular. Since it was a hotel - it has all of the amenities and has retained all of the beauty. The building was very well maintained as a Hyatt property, and they continue to do so. The outer grounds feature a lovely courtyard with exotic palm trees and waterfalls, with nice seating areas to enjoy. The nearby pond is also a nice touch. The classical design and decor had an open-air feel. The main foyer had a gorgeous winding staircase. The dining rooms were stunning. The high ceilings and chandeliers add a level of elegance rarely seen in an assisted living facility. The activity rooms and lounges were all nicely decorated. The living spaces were well-designed and spacious. There is plenty of professional, yet friendly staff to take care of basic needs. All of the areas were pleasant to be in and we could see that the residents thought so, too. The activities ranged from board games, to discussions, private reading and watching film and TV "“ some people were also using computers. The staff is well-versed at taking care of a variety of types of people, from those who are not ambulatory "“ to people who have memory issues. The outside activities they plan regularly include everything from visiting local restaurant favorites, the public library and movies "“ to day trips to nearby regions. They have planned exercise classes "“ but also offer residents to work out any time they wish. We liked that they encourage exercise. We are glad we took the time to look at this facility and it is in the running as one of the better ones we have visited so far in the region. "
