"I was a Resident at Whitehall and received excellent care from all the staff. Wonderful Therapy and Management Team, I enjoyed the food and entertainment too, what a wonderful environment to be in when your recovering from surgery. The Nurses were Angels who really cared about not only me but my family when they visited. A truly wonderful place to be I will recommend Whitehall to all my Condo friends and family. "

"I have lived at The Health Center of Coconut Creek for about four or five weeks now. There are a lot of people who are very good and nice, but you're always going to get one or two who are a pain in the neck. On the majority, they are very friendly, and the gym is very good. The food is good and we have three full meals a day. They give you plenty to eat and there's quite a variety. They give each patient a list of dinners for the whole week and you pick out which ones you want and they turn them in. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are very well taken care of. It's a very clean, neat place. They have shows, card games, and Bingo. I have physical therapy with Jennifer and she's great. Each room has television."

"I would definitely go back and visit St. Andrews again. Everybody was cordial. The residents were younger. A place where both my husband and I could enjoy. I tried the food in the community and it was good. I also checked at the rooms and they were decent. "

"I visited Avante at Boca Raton, Inc. They were very helpful, and the staff was very nice. They didn't try to hide anything. They were very open. It was clean, and everybody was very friendly. I had so much experience with the nurses being at the nurses' station and just talking. They were all working. They had a cute little country store, like an ice cream parlor. Their gyms were nicely equipped. The building itself needed a little sprucing up. I was very impressed with the fact that all of the short-term physical therapy residents have their own rooms."

"My dad was at Seaview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, but I was moving him to another facility. It was OK, but sometimes the nurses don't do what they were supposed to do. I could see a lot of nurses just standing around, and I could see the patient needing something and trying to alert them, but they were talking among themselves. I was calling to check on my dad because he lost his phone, and every station that I called had me on hold for a long time, they transferred me to this person, and that person was supposed to go get my dad. All in all, everybody was nice to him. The people were nice, and it's family oriented. They made him happy. They liked him, and he had his own room. The cleanliness was good. They kept it clean, and I had no complaint about that. "

"My husband was at The Woodlands at John Knox Village for short-term rehab. He was there under more stringent COVID conditions. I couldn't even see him for two weeks, and he was kept in his room the whole time. He was taken out for meals, but he ate his meals by himself, and we understood all of that. He said the food was delicious, that it was extraordinary, chef prepared, and he absolutely adored it. I never saw his room, but apparently he said it was nice, and he was pretty discerning. He had a powered chair and his own bathroom. I could visit him for an hour outside, and they had beautiful grounds. What I did not care for about the facility was the communication. The staff simply doesn't communicate. He was in there and I didn't even know if he'd made the transfer successfully. I knew that he was no longer in the hospital, and I knew where he was supposed to be, but you could not get anybody to take the call, and I continued to have issues with them as far as communication. The care was good and the facility apparently was good, but I wasn't impressed with the staff. It's a high-end complex. They don't let you in unless you've got a picture ID, and been OKed by the facility to come in. When I needed to drop things off for my husband, I couldn't take them to the building. I had to leave to them at the guard gate, but that would have been part of the COVID protocol as well."

"I feel that Margate Health Care Center is a wonderful place to reside the elderly who can no longer care for themselves. My grandfather lived there for about a year before he died. Every time my family went to visit him, that staff was friendly and helpful. They also were able to give us details on how my grandfather was doing and they truly seemed to enjoy their jobs. The facility was very clean, updated and had many amenities. Most of the residents were keep active by playing games like Shuffleboard and Bingo and if the staff did not have anything planned for that particular day, they would allow the residents to go outside to the recreation area to relax or even take a walk with a staff member. My grandfather wanted to be home with the family, so he did try to escape a time or two but the staff must have kept a close eye on him because he never made it past the emergency exit. My experience with this nursing home was great and I have recommended it to many of my friends with older or sick relatives. "

"John Knox Village Health Center is more a rehab facility than a nursing home. The staff is very caring and compassionate -- at least, the majority of them are. There are a few who are a bit not so, but compared to the other places my mom has been in the past, they are very, very good. We've had some difficulty with them in terms of communication and coordination of various things. She went into their rehab facility after being in an acute rehab facility because of medical problems. A few days after she was admitted, she developed some cognitive problems and had to be readmitted back to the general hospital for the mental status change that was going on, and it appeared that she was prescribed some sleeping medication that was really not appropriate in the dosage that she got. It seems that once they have clarified what the issue is, they tend to respond to it pretty well and are fairly caring about it. They went out of their way to help her out with some issues. They provided what she required because of her physical problems. It has a good reputation in the community, and in several respects it has been better than some of the other facilities she's had. A lot of the staff is very, very caring. My mom has specifically said some of the staff at night has been very attentive. She has a problem with urinary frequency, and she often has to call a nurse to help her down to the restroom, and in the previous facilities she has always felt like she was being a bother to the staff, whereas here the majority of the staff has been very, very understanding, very responsive, and don't make her feel like she is being a burden to ask for the assistance. So that kind of response from majority of the staff has been good, and just some of the coordination issues and communication issues going on about some of the difficulties she's had has been our only major complaint. "

"John Knox Village was a huge complex that provided what we were looking for which was a complete care. It was a community, not just a building, so you had to drive to go to places. It had personal housing or duplexes. There was a building which was the independent living part and was well presented. The one who toured us answered all of our questions. The apartments were really nice, and there were so many layout choices. The Alzheimer's and skilled nursing areas were within the complex. A lot of doctors were in the complex, so you don’t need to go out to go to a private doctor. They had personalized restaurants in the complex. They had laundry, a beauty shop, and a little store if you want to buy trinkets and stuff. They also had a big monthly calendar full of events."

"What a wonderful place. My mother was there for 3 weeks for rehab. Like a hotel. The staff could not have been better. The food was unbelievable and sheI felt very safe and cared for there. I would recommend this rehab to anyone that wants to be treated with respect and dignity. And get good rehab. "

"The Fountains was one of the homes that was available that could tend to my father's needs, so that's the reason he was placed there. It seems like they have a pretty good staff-to-resident ratio. It seems like the staff is very involved with the residents and attentive to them as well. My father participates a little bit in their activities, but there are definitely activities ongoing during the day. They have bingo, music, etc. They have a board with all the activities for the day on it, what's happening and what time. My father's room is adequate enough for the purpose it needs to serve. He is in a semi-private room, so he does have a roommate, but it seems like a big enough room to accommodate them both. My dad's room was renovated with new paint and flooring. The Fountains seems very clean, even though it is an older facility. They have done some renovations recently. It is a smaller facility, which I like. I'm glad that we ended up placing my father there. They have 60 or so beds, so it seems very well-staffed. The facility itself seems to be maintained well, even though it is older. "
