"The staff is friendly. They are always around. They check on my dad many times throughout the day. Food is good. PT is good. I’ve noticed an improvement in my dad. Activity director is so sweet and there are things to do. We have been to the pizza gathering, the music is a fav of dad. Rooms get cleaned and we are happy with the care here. "

"This facility is located in Boca Raton right next to I-95. This facility is very nice and laid out really well. The residents have their own rooms which are convenient and provide a lot of privacy. There is one main nursing station on each floor (there are 2 floors) which is very convenient. Nurses, aids, and doctors come to the rooms very often and don't really let you run around the facility aimlessly which is an added benefit. The nurses collaborate with outside facilities very well such as hospice nurses, social worker and doctors. I really liked this facility. "

"My mother was in Heartland for a little while. Their equipment wasn't normally working and my mother had fallen and she couldn't get anybody to respond quickly. They sent her to the hospital three days after because her face swelled up. Their appearance was OK. It was more of the 70s appeal and there was a lot of much older people. Their rehabilitation was not the greatest. The staff was friendly but they really were pushing for Medicaid so that the State would pay for everything. She complained about the food all the time. It was always cold and never had any flavor. If they're going to give her a call button, it needs to be working. If they fall or get hurt, they need to make sure they go to the emergency room that day or that night or whenever that happens, not two days or three days later, and adding that to the bill was another pain because it happened on their premises and they were supposed to be caring for her. They should be more aware of what's going on in the rooms, have better food, and have a little bit longer rehabilitation. "

"The Fountains was one of the homes that was available that could tend to my father's needs, so that's the reason he was placed there. It seems like they have a pretty good staff-to-resident ratio. It seems like the staff is very involved with the residents and attentive to them as well. My father participates a little bit in their activities, but there are definitely activities ongoing during the day. They have bingo, music, etc. They have a board with all the activities for the day on it, what's happening and what time. My father's room is adequate enough for the purpose it needs to serve. He is in a semi-private room, so he does have a roommate, but it seems like a big enough room to accommodate them both. My dad's room was renovated with new paint and flooring. The Fountains seems very clean, even though it is an older facility. They have done some renovations recently. It is a smaller facility, which I like. I'm glad that we ended up placing my father there. They have 60 or so beds, so it seems very well-staffed. The facility itself seems to be maintained well, even though it is older. "

"I visited Edgewater. The people were very friendly and mobile. It like a high rise becuase it was a 10-story building and had more of a resort feel. Everything looked sharp. It was in a nice area. I went there unannounced, but when I walked in the lobby, people met me. The rooms were a little bit more modern and brand new."

"What a wonderful place. My mother was there for 3 weeks for rehab. Like a hotel. The staff could not have been better. The food was unbelievable and sheI felt very safe and cared for there. I would recommend this rehab to anyone that wants to be treated with respect and dignity. And get good rehab. "

"Terrace Of Delray has been very helpful with my father clean all the nurses and CNA‘s have been helpful getting my dad motivated and making us stay very welcoming and comfortable and Lisa and Alicia have been very helpful with any situations financial or accommodations. Very nice place to put your loved ones."

"I've been to Manorcare several times. I always request to come here because the quality of care is excellent. The staff is professional and sensitive to my needs. The food is healthy and plentiful. The gym is well equipped, with state of the art equipment, I go twice a day. I am always well taken care of."

"Abbey Delray South was a nice community with some amenities and allowed us to kind of carry on the lifestyle we have right now until we needed another level of care and that next level of care was offered onsite. We also liked the life care concept that once you buy into the community, basically you're going to be taken care of. We can enjoy some shared amenities like gyms and pools and sports facilities and probably a few years down the road the meal a day or two meals a day or whatever is provided, those kinds of services will become more important. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We showed up for an event that they had advertised, but we showed up at the wrong facility and they gave us a tour anyway. We actually wound up in the right place for us. It's right in town where everything's available. If you can't drive yourself, they provide transportation. The atmosphere seemed very comfortable. The lobby area and some of the common areas were very nicely decorated. I have been in one of the units years back. A friend of mine's parents was in that community, so I did see the inside of one of their single-family units, which is probably kind of what we're living in right now. It's comfortable. For the right person, it's a perfect arrangement. For us, we don't want to be in Florida. It's an older community, but it's been fairly well maintained."

"My mom is very happy at Abbey Delray. Her room is very beautiful, it has a big window, a huge bathroom, is very clean, and she has room for her own TV. They have entertainment every day, like Bingo and little classes. Their days are full. She has dressers, a large closet, and a cabinet where she can put her necessities."

"I had an appointment and I went there for a visit. I liked the atmosphere because it was welcoming and it did not feel restrictive. It was open and quiet. I thought it was more elegant that's why it also cost more. The apartments were smaller but the appeal visually was better. The grounds and location were appealing. I have not tasted the food but everybody seemed to eat it up and happy. There were also activities and I was more comfortable there. I'd consider living there if they would accept me. For me, the care that the person received depends on the involvement of the family and knowledge of what's going on."

"I went to Harbour View at Delray Beach which is a pretty high end, long term care facility that is pretty attractive. I like the construction, the amenities, the services, the assisted living and the long term care that is available for their clients should they need to advance to long term care. "
