"Westchester of Sunrise is an ALF. They have a nursing home associated with the facility which is at the back of the facility. The two of them are on the same compound. It's a family community. The people were very pleasant. I didn't get to see a lot because they were still under Covid restrictions. The dining room was closed down and the activity center. Everything was still closed because of Covid. I was taken around the place to see the layout of the facility and one of the rooms, but that's about it. They're still under Covid precautions. I didn't stay long. I went and met with the person-in-charge and the administrator. They gave me a tour of the facility, but everything was closed down and they took me to see one of the rooms. It's a fairly big room. They provide a small fridge and a microwave in the room for the resident. I saw a couple of the residents. The staff was nice, and the atmosphere was good. We can't wait for the place to open up. The person who showed me around said they have guests that come in and perform for the residents. They have days when they have families, but all that's on hold until they open back up. They also have an area where you can go if you don't want the meal that's being served where you can have sandwiches. There's a choice and they have the ice cream parlor and they have the hairdresser and the barber. The downstairs is closed down because of Covid. They had a special smoking area outside with chairs and it's in a nice little cool area that they can go and sit out there and socialize and smoke. The back of that is the nursing home, but I didn't go there. They have different people from the church come in from different denominations to have a service. They have a laundry room. The place was clean. The people that I interacted with were pleasant. The director also introduced me to the administrator. As we were touring, we saw the nurses or the aides, and she introduced me to them."

"My Grandmother was in this care facility. The people there are amazing with their level of care and comfort for the people there and their relatives. "

"We chose ManorCare for my parents because the facility is very clean. It is also one of the highest-rating facilities. They are well-staffed. They take good care of my parents. I don't have any complaint so far. ManorCare is definitively recommendable. "

"Saint Johns Nursing Center is a Catholic hospital, and they've been very good to my mom. I like them, and they have been good to her. They have media things every couple of months. We get together with everybody, and they are very helpful. They are very good, and so far she has been great. They are hands-on so they keep me in the loop, and that is what I want. The food is not great. That would be the one thing that I would say that is kind of important when somebody is spending their last days. I am kind of bummed about that, but everything else is pretty good. If you want to pray, I like the fact that they have a chapel downstairs. They have nuns and a bishop that comes around, so I like that as well. "

"I feel that Margate Health Care Center is a wonderful place to reside the elderly who can no longer care for themselves. My grandfather lived there for about a year before he died. Every time my family went to visit him, that staff was friendly and helpful. They also were able to give us details on how my grandfather was doing and they truly seemed to enjoy their jobs. The facility was very clean, updated and had many amenities. Most of the residents were keep active by playing games like Shuffleboard and Bingo and if the staff did not have anything planned for that particular day, they would allow the residents to go outside to the recreation area to relax or even take a walk with a staff member. My grandfather wanted to be home with the family, so he did try to escape a time or two but the staff must have kept a close eye on him because he never made it past the emergency exit. My experience with this nursing home was great and I have recommended it to many of my friends with older or sick relatives. "

"I've been wanting to write and say I am pretty surprised that your facility is so great! Your patients/residents are very well taken care of in every way. My sister has been there for several months and it seems all your staff know her and all the others' needs: I.e. which foods are preferred and best for their individual needs, what programs they enjoy (movies, games, sing-alongs, outings, etc)... free manicures and inexpensive hair salon. The variety and the joyful attitudes are truly wonderful. Of course, the residents need every type of medical, physical and emotional care, so someone may walk in and feel uncomfortable at first, as did I. But the care is truly amazing. Thank you!"

"Only a few months ago I had a very frightful experience with my mom, she was transferred from Plantation General Hospital to Plantation rehab. This was the best experience ever! The entire staff was very caring and offered the most help when needed. Although my mom is very quiet, and independent she needed help to maintained her dignity and Plantation Rehab did that for her! Major shout out to Tracey (administrator) Teddy (mom's favorite person) he really gave her a sense of wanting to live again ! Thank you Teddy for your kindness and support. Thank you to the Activity Coordinator and the entire staff who touched my mom in some way. "My mother stayed at The Health Center of Coconut Creek for a couple of months. It was quite nice. They were helpful. They did what they needed to do. I really didn't have anything negative to say about this facility. It seemed to be a very nice place. They had very nice staff. The therapy people were very nice. The rooms were very nice. The dining room was nice as well. I had dinner with my mother there and the food looked very good to me. "

"My father is staying in Wilton Manors Health & Rehabilitation Center. We chose that place because they had a four out of five stars rating. They are on point, and they are professional. The staff go beyond the call of duty. They are helpful, friendly, and very courteous. He does word puzzles, and he also has physical therapy for his legs. You get your money's worth there, and like I said they go beyond the call of duty. The place is close to my sister. She's only eight minutes away."

"My parents have friends that live here at John Knox Village. So we decided to take my mother here for rehab after she broke her hip. The place is very nice, and because it's John Knox their nurses and nurse assistants ratios are almost double the state requirement. That's really what sold us. My mother was here for 12 days, They gave her over two hours of therapy per day. My mother was treated at the "old" nursing home, and they open a brand new building with all private rooms next month. But even in the older building, the rehab and nursing care was amazing! "

"I cannot rave more about the services at this facility, caring, empathetic, amazing! The rooms are clean and spacious. The nursing, aides are fantastic; they take care of your family and communication is five star! My mom did not participate in any activities as she was not able."
