"I toured the Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach. I was shown the menu and their little cafe, but I was not offered any food. It was very clean. The residents there seemed cheerful, and happy, and said hello to me when I was touring. The people who worked there were smiling and helping other residents who lived there. Everybody was friendly. They seemed caring. I got a very good feel for the place. I see the staff stop and help the residents if they need help with the wheelchairs or walking. They were always greeted."

"It had a lot of activities, and the food menu looked very nice. The dining area was clean, bright, and very cheery. The people seemed very content. It seemed like a nice place. The lady who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and very patient. It's very clean as well."

"My parents have moved into Stratford Court of Boca Pointe. They're in assisted living. There's been some lack of communication but the staff has been helpful, from what we have seen. The food has been good. They have outdoor spaces and exercise weights, which I think is more for physical therapy. They have entertainment like the luau they had the other day. They have exercises where the residents do exercises sitting in the chair. I think they also invite speakers and lecturers. I would say my parents are paying a pretty high price. It would be great if they are getting a little bit better service and if the service is quicker. They get the service but it's slow."

"My parents will be moving here. We visited, and they fell in love with it. It was available and it was in their time frame. Everything just worked out perfectly. They will have breakfast and dinner served to them. They go down into the dining room, so my mom doesn't have to prepare anything. All she has to do is lunch, and lunch is very simple. It's a bigger place for them where they're going to be, and there is a community for them also. They need people around their age. Cassie is an outstanding young person who is willing, able, and ready to help and assist everybody. She is so accommodating. It was wonderful. The cleanliness was outstanding. The staff we met walking through the halls was very likable, very nice, kind, warm, and loving. I can't say enough about it."

"This is where my mother now lives. The food menu there is far more appealing than the other places. They serve nice and sophisticated food. My mother is very happy with the staff there. They are very nice and sensitive. Nobody is treated any differently than anybody else. Everyone in that place is very nice and they seem to know what they are doing. They had lots of activities. The first day that she moved in there was some kind of drum beating activity. They had bingo. My mother plays bridge. They have exercises in the pool. They go to the mall. I have no complaints at all. They are doing a really good job."

"I went to tour Covenant Living of Florida. I loved the staff. Her name was Kimberly. She was super nice. She's a very, very nice lady. It was a beautiful community. But what I didn't like is the fact that, where the dining room is and where the buildings are where you might have to move, the walking distance is too far for me. I broke my neck, my hip, and my leg back-to-back from 2021 to 2022. I am walking, and I'm getting around, but if I had to go to the dining room for meals once or twice a day, and let's just say it's raining or whatever, I wouldn't want to have to walk from wherever I'm living to one place to get my meals. It just doesn't make sense to me. I would want to be in the building and maybe go down an elevator or just have access to the dining room closer. That's one thing I did not care about the facility. They had a pool, which I'm not interested in. They had a nice little snack bar area. They had a gift shop, which could be very, very nice, but it was probably 75% empty. There wasn't much stock in it. If you wanted to buy a gift or a card, there wasn't much in the gift shop. I had lunch there, and the food was very good. They had a very elegant dining room. Very, very nice dining room. I was with three other ladies. One of the ladies got sick because she had had a procedure called the sleeve on her stomach. So she got sick after lunch and we didn't have time to look at an apartment. So, I did not get to see an actual apartment, although I have several friends that lived there, and they rave about the community. However, it's just not for me. Their staff was excellent. My food was excellent. However, the facility could use some work. It's an older facility, but I think they do their best to keep it updated. They're working on it from what I can see. It's a work in progress. There was no activity whatsoever going on that I saw when I was there, and I was there for a good two hours. There were no activities at all. Maybe it was the time of day, which was lunchtime. Even the lunchroom didn't have that many people in it. It just didn't look like there was very much going on. "

"They treat your family member, as one of their own. My grandmother loved the staff, always had a positive interaction with them. She especially loved the dog/emotional pet time. When they brought the dogs around, it made her day every time. I also, have nothing but the best to say. The staff truly cares about the patients and you can tell 100%. "

"It was very upscale. It is actually the one my father likes the best. It is two blocks from my father's house. It is like being in a resort kind of because it's a high rise. You don't have to go outside really for anything. However, the apartments were very nice. As a matter of fact, it is 100% full right now. For activities, they have piano-player, entertainment, and cocktail hours. They have an arts and crafts room. They have a room there where speakers come and talk. It is very nice. The staff's work attitude is fine as far as I can tell. However, the staff at the restaurant wasn't as forthcoming as the ones in the other facility. They didn't really cater as much."

"I have a loved one who who is a resident at Independence Hall and I truly feel at ease knowing she is in the care of loving staff like Julianna. She is an exceptional physical therapist with a good spirit and a wonderful bedside manner. It is a really clean environment (they just had new carpets installed!) and the maintenance and house cleaning crews keep the rooms and communal areas very clean. That is important in South Florida! There is a great chef, too! One thing I love are the opportunities my aunt has to remain as active as she has always been. She really enjoys the activities the staff organizes especially, exercise activities, happy hours, meals out at local restaurants, and shopping excusions. Personally, the residence is nearby my home and I am able to visit frequently, which makes me happy, and their admin department is always so kind when I call or visit. Nice job!"

"We met a lot of staff at Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale. It was a beautiful facility. It might have been tough for me to be there even if we could have afforded it, because they have a lot of glass windows on their top floor, and a lot of that creates problems for me with the glare. We still liked them a lot, and we were impressed with them, but the cost was not doable, so it's not for me. The people were very nice and very helpful. We met the chef and somebody else. When we went in there, we were aware of the security quite early, because they gave us name tags and they wanted to see our ID, that kind of stuff. They were very impressive. The other thing we were interested in was their food provider."

"We liked Verena at Delray because they offered the biggest living quarters. Most of the places I went to had very small units, but this was the largest one that we found and they're redoing the entire building. So, it would be very lovely. I met a lot of people there who were very nice, very helpful, and very professional. They had very beautiful outside surroundings. It's on Linton Boulevard and the whole area was lovely. The waitresses were very, very nice. We met the chef several times and he was very good, too. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it very much. They're also redoing the entire dining room. They have a gym, a pool, social activities, and a happy hour. We've been to their happy hour several times where everybody just gets together and that was lovely. They also have card playing, mahjong playing, poker playing, movies, trips, and a lot of stuff that keeps you pretty busy."

"It was nice. Their rooms were a little bit smaller but quite nice. The staff was pleasant and informative."

"The people at Grand Villa of Boynton Beach were very interesting to talk to. The place was clean and they have a security sensor on the ceiling. It was memory care and it looked fine. I only met the woman who took us around and she was very pleasant. It's like being in an apartment house where you go in and close the door and you're completely alone."
