"My mother moved to Discovery Village in November 2020, and has been happy so far. There have been bumps along the way, some due to a change in management, but a lot that is probably due to challenges of running an ALF during a pandemic. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly; maintenance issues are handled very quickly. There has been a bit of staff turnover, and the pool was closed for months waiting for repairs, but things seem to be stabilizing. I would give 5 stars if not for the few issues, and some of those probably are not the fault of the facility. A friend's father moved into a nearby facility at about the same time, and it is more expensive, but he still has some complaints, so I guess those problems exist anywhere. Overall, I would recommend Discovery Village."

"It was very nice. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The apartments were very nice but didn't have a washer/dyer. The grounds were very nice and in a nice location. Their dining area was very nice, the menu looked nice, and the food looked good. Their pricing was fair."

"My tour of Palms Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care was very good. The staff was very professional and caring. They were very good and very detailed. The rooms that I saw were OK. They were not as fancy as some of the other assisted living places we had gone to. They were a little bit smaller, but they were very clean. The interaction that we had with the residents and the staff was very, very good. We were there during lunchtime. They were just starting to feed the residents. They had sandwiches, chips, and other things that looked good. It looked appealing, but we didn't eat there. The atmosphere was calm and safe. They had activities scheduled. We just didn't see any at the time because of the timeframe that we were there. They could probably improve a little bit more on the facility itself. It's an older facility. They have kept up with it as much as they can. Sometimes you can't do much more with an older facility, but it looks like they have been trying."

"My mother loved Moore Care more than life itself. She ran the place, I'd put it that way. They did everything she thought she want it done. I wanted her to go there because the location is in a very decent home atmosphere area. The house is just beautiful and so clean. My mother was a clean freak and everything has to be spotless. That's why she loved it because Keisha kept that place so clean. I've had dinner there with my mother. The food was excellent. In the area where they ate, most ladies go in and have talks. She liked bingo so they have that and sometimes I sit with them. My mother was really religious so I brought her a tape and she played her gospel tapes because it's hard for her to read. I also taped when I read the Bible. I told Keisha when I get old enough I want to be right there with her. That's the place that I pick for myself already. It's a really good place. I don't think my mother would have ever left if she had been there. "

"My daughter has been at Atlantis Assisted Living for a month. I’m very satisfied. The people are very nice; they’re very patient with her. I like it because it has a courtyard, and there’s no way that she could get out. They have a very nice courtyard and a nice fountain. There are places for them to smoke, and it’s safe. It’s in a really nice community. My daughter is in a private room, and there’s a sink and a platform where I have her toiletries. There are 2 closets and 6 drawers underneath the closets, and each room has its own air conditioning unit. It is kept clean, and the room is really nice. In the rooms and in the bathrooms, they have call buttons. They showed us how she’ll have a person that will give her a shower and help her get dressed. If she needs that person to come back for whatever reason or she needs it during the day, she just has to press the call button. They have big posters with the month’s activities on the wall, and they have the little ones that you could take to the rooms. They have an exercise class at 10:30. After lunch, they have a walking club where they take the people for walks. They go to the stores sometimes. Sometimes they take them on the bus out to have dinner. They have bingo and art classes. They have a lot of things; it depends on who is interested in what. They have 2 dining rooms. They have a dining room for people who can sit down and have a regular meal where they can cut their own food and have no problem swallowing. My daughter goes into the special dining room where they have people that actually help cut the food and make sure that they don’t choke on anything. There is always somebody with them. "

"We really like Brookdale West Boynton Beach. The people there were very friendly and accommodating, but when they sent the nurse out to evaluate, they said they are not the facility for my father-in-law. Their grounds are very, very nice. "

"I toured Meridian at Lantana for my wife, and it was very nice. My issue is we're both sixty-nine, and I felt like I would be a bull in a china shop. The thing that I didn't like, and it's nothing personal against them, is you have an apartment, but you aren't allowed to have a stove, a hot plate, or even a toaster oven. I don't have Alzheimer's or anything, and I am capable of using a stove so far, but who knows what will happen down the road. I understand why they would do that, but that was one of the things that totally turned me off to the place. The whole place was nice, and I'm sure it was for the right people. The person who assisted us was very hospitable and very nice. To me, the smallest room was very small; it was maybe 600 square feet. Then she showed us a bigger one, and that would have been adequate. The place was very nice, very clean, and very livable. Our house was 3000 square feet, so to jump down to a little 600-square-foot room without a stove would have been rough, and I just couldn't do it. They don't allow a stove, but you have a little refrigerator and a microwave. I understand that your meals were in the cafeteria. I didn't go into the dining area; I just looked through the window and it was nice. There were activities, but because of COVID it was extremely limited. They had a pool and a big area where you could sit outside, so I'm sure they had a lot of different things. I did notice it was extremely limited, and I understand it was because of COVID, so I never really looked into it that closely. For me personally, because they have no stove, you're not really independent. You're really dependent on their dining area, and you have to eat when they're serving each meal -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I didn't eat there, but they gave me a big chocolate-chip cookie just for coming, and they were very good; they're like super excellent. I have a feeling the food was probably very good there."

"As a frequent visitor to Vi at Lakeside Village I am always impressed by the elegance and charm of this assisted living facility. The seniors who reside here and the staff become friends and you can see that respect and independence are both shared and nurtured. There is a wide array of classes available and participation is encouraged but no one ever feels pressured to register for any of these scheduled events. After all, these people are adults who are leading independent lives. If someone has a specific interest then the staff tries to accommodate this by incorporating it into the event schedule. Bingo, card games, chess, checkers and trivia contests are some of the favorite daily activities, but there are lots of other things to do as well. I have come to visit and then participated in some of these events with my friends. It is always such fun to be around such a happy group of people. "

"I like Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens very much. It was the best one that I saw and I got the most extensive tour. They showed me the pool area, a walking trail, the dining room, the library, and different options as far as rooms go. The staff that did it did a good job. The place seemed a little confusing to me though, but I have only been there once. They offer breakfast and dinner. They had lunch that you could purchase, which I thought was a pretty good deal too."

"The Pointe at Newport Place was a beautiful facility. They had very nice people there. They had music brought in by guests that day when we went there. Also, their rooms were nice. However, the memory care facility was just one short hallway, and there was not much variety for the people who were there. "

"My uncle is staying at Luxe Senior Living at Jupiter. He's in a 2-bedroom apartment. The care is really good. My uncle has no complaints. Everything seemed nice. The staff was nice. The apartments were clean. My uncle said the food is pretty good. His room is comfortable. They have a nice exercise room and movie room. The cafeteria is nice. They have lots of spacious outdoor areas to walk around. It is part of town. You can get anywhere in 10 minutes. The facility is only about five years old. It's expensive, but for a 2-bedroom, it's reasonable."

"I found the Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter for my mother. It's really nice, I like it. It's a very nice place. It seems clean and they keep it clean. The staff seemed OK to me, I didn't get to interact with a whole lot of them, Sue took me on a tour. She did introduce me to some of the folks involved. But for the most part, the people that I met were very nice. The rooms were very, very nice. They have several different designs, they have several different style rooms, but they were all very, very nice. They were very comfortable. I didn't have a problem with the layout of the room whatsoever. They have a beauty salon, which is nice, a physical therapy room which is nice. I did see some people doing puzzles and stuff like that, and they have bingo."
