My mother is in Caring Angels Home of Florida Inc. We're happy with the placement. I had looked at a couple of other things that were assisted living, and she needed more care than that. There are only six people in the whole facility, so there are a few people there. The staff-to-client ratio is very good, and they have home-cooked meals. We've been very happy so far. It is a house that was turned into an assisted living facility. There are rooms that people are sharing, and my mother happens to have a private room. There are shared bathroom facilities, because it's a home. It was never set up for an ensuite everywhere. Some of them have private bathrooms, and it has a very nice courtyard area where you can sit outside. It's very comfortable. They have cards and some games and stuff that people I know play, but a lot of the people there currently are not very communicative. If someone was looking for some place with activities, group things, and crafts, and that sort of stuff, that wouldn't necessarily be it, but they've been very helpful and very good for what she needed. The staff has been wonderful. I would rate the value for money very high because it was one of the few places that was even remotely affordable, and I still thought it was expensive, but they were running at $3,000 a month.

My mother-in-law is in Caring Angels Home of Florida Inc. The director is very warm and very friendly. We really connected with her. She has made it worth everything. She's made a nice connection with my mother-in-law, which has helped with the transition. It's going well. For her to adapt as well as she is, we are just so happy. It's very clean and they keep it spotless. They're very good on safety. It's right by our house and right by everything. The hospitals and grocery stores are within minutes of the facility, and it's in a nice, residential area. She raves about all the staff members. The only thing she complains about is the food, maybe because she is a cook and she has higher expectations. They don't do many activities as of yet because they don't have many residents. She likes watching TV and movies. The director will watch things with her sometimes and take her out for walks. The staff has been very accommodating.
