"My sister moved into Bay Isles Senior Care. They're very nice to her. They speak to her. They don't yell at her. They don't expect more than she can do. They are helping her to stand and to sit, and to walk without criticizing her, which helps a lot. She's doing a lot better here. It's a small group home. There are 3 other ladies besides her. She has a nice room with a nice bed, a dresser, a closet, and a bathroom. They have activities and they have a time when they do exercises. They also do some coloring, paintings, and drawings. They have a hairdresser that comes on Friday, and a doctor comes and checks on them."

"The Perfect Place worked out ideally for us because they speak Spanish, so it worked out very well for my dad. Everything is excellent. The cleanliness, the service -- they are just outstanding. If I ever become disabled and I need it, this is where I want to go."

"My mother-in-law has moved into Watercrest St. Lucie West. We had three places that were in the area that she was interested in, and this place was the brightest. The others were darker. The residents seemed to be much more active than the other places we looked at. It's assisted living and they have five different levels of care depending on the need. One of the things that I liked about it is people can come down anytime they want to eat. There's no designated time for each meal. It's restaurant-style dining and they seem to give a lot of options. They have a lot of activities. They've got a pool, a gym, and places for people to go and cook, but the cleanliness leaves a little bit to be desired. They have onsite physical therapy."

"Mom is at Heavenly Adult Care. It's a very comfortable place. It's very spacious for the residents to move around. The eating area is nice and comfortable, too. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bathing facilities for the residents are very much up to par the way they should be. It's very clean. Everybody there appears to be happy and at home. The staff is great. The food is excellent. They cook it from scratch."

"Mom was at Rosewell Home & Residential Care. It's a well-established place. It was very, very comfortable, very clean, and immaculate. The care they provided was what you would want for your loved one. They had a menu and it was pretty nutritious. Iceland was one of the people in charge of the facility and she always took special care of the residents and was attentive to every one of their needs. She always spent time with each one individually and even collectively. So I had no complaints about her. They also had games and sing-alongs."

"I had a nice tour of Nate's Health Services Inc. The rooms were a little small, but they were clean. The staff who assisted me was wonderful and very informative. They seemed to have good activities. They have an activity therapist that comes in to do arts and crafts with the residents. Their dining area looked OK."

"I was impressed with her nursing knowledge and skill in caring for their physical needs. I was also impressed by her compassion and interest in their personal history and comfort. She went out of her way and beyond expectations. She took Dorothy to Martin hospital and saw that she was admitted to the emergency room. Dorothy passed in 2013. Shortly thereafter Mary's husband died and we did not hesitate to move Mary to the facility because we knew she would not only receive quality medical care but personal care. This was recently demonstrated when Devoline saw Marys BP drop, called an ambulance and Mary was admitted to the Tradition Med Ctr. We were surprised and pleased two days later when we visited Mary to find Devoline there. She had come on her own time to visit and encourage Mary. She is a skilled nurse, compassionate and willing to give of herself in the care of residents at her facility. "

"My father has moved into Serenity Garden Assisted Living. It's a wonderful place. The staff is attentive and nice. My father can be a real pain in the ass with his mental problems and everything, but they're always there and they're always attentive. They always do their best in every situation to accommodate what they need. The two head nurses are wonderful people. They will go out of their way to make someone feel comfortable. The community is not very big. It's a house that has five residents. The food is good, and so the women take care of the people there. It's clean and homey. You could feel comfortable sitting on their porch out there. It's very nice. From what I understand, they have activities like have TV, games, and things out in the back in the porch area. I'm more than happy to pay the amount to take care of my father there. The staff and the woman that owns the facility are very down-to-earth and very easy to talk to. They're very helpful and very respectful."

"I visited Jamaica Shores ALF. The staff was very good and very informative. Even though she didn't know I was coming, she still took me around. The place was clean, but it's just that some of their residents reminded me of a nursing home. They were in wheelchairs or they couldn't move. They didn't appear to be assisted living clients. The room seemed fine and adequate. The upkeep of the place was good, but the dining area seemed a little overcrowded."

"My friend has moved into Loving Care of the Treasure Coast. I saw the place and decided this would be the best thing for her. She is one of six residents that stay there on a permanent basis. It's a home residential care, and it has a large master bedroom. My friend shares a bedroom with another woman. There is a large yard. She gets her meals, she gets her meds, and she has somebody come in and check her blood pressure. I have taken her out a couple of times from the place and brought her back. They're always willing to assist and to help. They're concerned about her condition and treat her with respect and care. As far as I know, all of the rooms are shared. There are three shared rooms with two people in each of the rooms. It is a large enough room, that my friend has her own space, her own dresser and her own closet where her things are. Considering the options that I had of putting her into an institutionalized place and putting her into something that was a little more personal, I decided that she would best fit into this kind of setting. They have activities except there's Covid going on right now. Each has his/her recliner in the living room for a TV. They have bingo and certain other activities, but with Covid, they have a lot of restrictions. Generally, I was told that the owner takes them out to Olive Gardens once a month. When I go to visit, I have to wear a mask and I'm only allowed in certain parts of the house. They take my temperature each time I come in, so precautions are being taken. My friend has only been in there for three weeks now, so I assume as Covid gets repressed, there will be more things available for her. I was there when they served breakfast to her, I was there when they offered her a bowl of fruits just the other day, and I thought that was fun. I was there when they had a turkey dinner for Christmas. She is not losing weight and she is not gaining weight, so I assume she is being well fed. The facility itself is fine. It is a home, not a resort. It is for people who cannot take care of themselves and need 24/7 supervision. My friend fits into that category because she has dementia. I'm very pleased with the situation so far and I prefer it to putting her into an institutionalized place where she would get lost in the shuffle. It's clean and well kept. It is reasonable and comfortable. This is the only one I went into in person and when I saw it, I said this is the best fit and I didn't have to look further. They are personable and that's really important when you're dealing with people."
