"My friend moved to Casalia Gardens. It's clean and well-appointed. She has her own room and everyone's been very nice. It's a small place and they seem to care about their residents. She is in the memory care and they all seem to be very knowledgeable and very helpful. I have not tasted the food, but I have been there while they are preparing it and they prepare it fresh from scratch. The place smells wonderful when they're cooking. They do little crafts and coloring, and they have visiting therapy dogs that come in. She doesn't have a private bath, but she's only sharing it with one other person, and the other amenities are all excellent. She's getting what she pays for and she's paying less than where she was while getting more."

"Always There Assisted Living was a nice community. It was a little bit different from the others I visited. They had different houses. It wasn't just one big facility. They had semi-private rooms and they were clean. They took me through two of the homes and both of them were very clean, too. The residents seemed to like their living arrangements. The person who took me around was very informative, very caring, and answered all of my questions. They also do different activities. Each home had a couple of people who worked there, and they would prepare the residents' meals for them. It was a good experience. I toured the memory care. There were people doing puzzles and people that were playing cards. They do group activities, like get-togethers, celebrate people's birthdays or the 4th of July, and all that kind of stuff. Each home was fenced in and they had outdoor patios closed in."

"My first priority deciding on an ALF/Memory Care facility: Medical care in a caring environment, provided by experienced staff. Choosing Elevated Estates, Brooksville met my requirements. The medical, support, and facility staffs attention to my husband was exactly what he needed. Yes, the facility is undergoing major physical renovations. While that was ongoing, it is clean, comfortable, and when something unexpected happened they addressed it practically immediately. I’m truly grateful for the care Elevated Estates Brooksville gave our family."

"We went to Elevated Estates Forest Oaks and looked at it because I know people who've had family members there and so forth. The person we spoke with was very helpful. The place was nice. Not as nice as the previous one, but it's very clean, welcoming, and homey. It has a central big common area and the rooms were off of it. No smells or anything. Their activity schedule looked nice. They had nice printed activities."

"The Residence at Timber Pines is very close to where my aunt lives. The place was excellent and it was very nice. The staff's work ethic was very strong. We did see the rooms. They were exceptionally good. They had all the standard activities. They were multidimensional. What I like best about it was the proximity to my aunt's house. It was in the neighborhood, so it wasn't disruptive from that perspective. "

"My husband moved to The Opal at Spring Hill. It feels like everyone there is family. It's very bright, and the staff is very helpful and they have a positive attitude. They are always Johnny-on-the-spot. I haven't tried the food, but my husband says most of it is good. They have bingo. If I didn't think they were the place, I wouldn't be spending my money there."

"Canterfield of Ocala was beautiful. It was almost new. It looked very nice. My tour was exceptional. They gave me lunch, and it was excellent. The food was very good. The rooms were beautiful, but they were expensive."

"We toured Ocala Senior Living. It wasn't very bright. It seemed a little dark. The lady who took us around was very knowledgeable, but the main staff were not there when we visited. They do have an outdoor porch to sit on."

"I have been here at Brookdale Canopy Oaks for 3 months now. I like it because it's smaller, it isn't too large like the others here in town. They're all very nice people. My apartment is very nice. I have two rooms. I have a living area and a bedroom. The bathroom is a little small, but I'm sure that's normal. Their housekeeping is a little erratic. I think they have a hard time keeping help. The dining room is fine, and the food is acceptable. Sometimes it's very good, sometimes it's not so good. It's an older building, but it is well-maintained. They do have a lot of activities."

"I found on my visit there that the staff was very friendly and caring. They also offered a lot of different activities for the patients there, some of them were bingo, cards, checkers among other things. They also had a chapel for those that wanted to attend church service. There were computers and internet access for those wishing to get online. I liked the fact that they had keyboards with large letters. "

"My brother is in this facility in Florida and we've made arrangements for my mom to go down there so they can be together. We went down to visit with my brother 2 months ago, and he loves it there. It's been really good. We couldn't get Medicaid here to assist with the financing for my mom and down there we qualified with flying colors so we're moving her there. My brother is in their assisted living and my mom will be moving to their memory care. We were very impressed with the people and with the place, and he is very, very happy there. They made us feel so comfortable when we were down there visiting. The staff is very caring, they treat him like he is royalty and they love him. They went out of their way to make us happy during our visit. They made sure we were included in lunch while we were there and some of the activities that were going on that day. It was very nice and they were very, very helpful people. They come and bring his medicine and all. We had a really good lunch and everybody got involved and would make sure all the people had their lunches. They take the residents out to different events in the area. They've had a car show there. Every time I talk to him, they seem to have something going on for him. They do cookouts and they do all kinds of stuff. He's been there for 2 years now."

"I'm at Life Care Center of Citrus County. It's nice and clean, but the food is not good. They need to improve the taste. For the most part, the CNAs are excellent, but they don't have enough of them. The girls are overworked and they're tired. It took them forever to get here because there weren't that many of them. Maintenance is very good. It's beautiful around here. There are activities, but they're for 90-year-old people. People here can't remember anything. I'm still the same guy I always was."

"My aunt currently lives at Tender Loving Hospitality. The facilities are clean and well kept. The staff are caring, and very good at their jobs. They treat the residents like family. There are plenty of things available there for the residents to do, like games, tv, and even shopping trips and things of that nature. It's never easy putting a family member into an assisted living facility, but when the facility staff treat your family like their own families it makes it easier. "
