"My mom is in The Watermark at Vistawilla. The experience has been good, but I think they lacked a little bit in the activities department, for memory care specifically. I wish they did more activities, but ever since COVID happened it's been slow there, but otherwise I feel like my mom is really well cared for there, and they really like her. Her apartment is great, very spacious, and the staff there is great too, but they have a lot of turnover. The food is good too, they serve pretty good food, and my mom seems to like it. Structurally it's a very pretty, very comfortable place, with a large, open area for the residents to mingle, and where they can all be together."

"We toured Lexington Place. It's a nice community. It's relatively modern and up-to-date. It lacks a swimming pool or any scenery, but other than that, it's a nice facility. The staff was very good. They try to keep you entertained and keep you busy. It's nice they have guests who offer musical entertainment. It sounded very nice as far as the activity is concerned."

"My father is at Titusville Towers. He has his own apartment there. So far, it is good. He is getting three meals a day, and that is what's really important. What stands out to me about this facility is that it is affordable for my father, and it just has what he needed. Food is OK. It is not that great, but it's alright. Regarding activities, there is a full activity calendar, but they don't have like a pool or anything like that. Mostly their stuff is indoors. They take them on a bus to Wal-Mart once a week and to Target. They go out to eat once in a while for lunch. They have activities, i.e., bingo, cards, and things like that. Titusville Towers is in a great location. It is right on the river, and everyone has a beautiful view of the river, so it is really nice. The place is clean, and you have your own space, so my father is very happy there. "

"I picked The Canopy at Hickory Creek for my mother-in-law because it was the nicest. The rooms were large. They had plenty of closet space. The place was immaculately clean."

"My mother will be moving into Cedar Creek Assisted Living in a couple of weeks. I like that it's small, so they get more one-on-one. That's the best part of it. The rooms are great, very open, and they're just nice people. They have a card room, a library, and a craft room, and those were all nice. They have a beauty salon and an exercise room. The food is really good."

"I liked them because they're under a mile from where I live, so I can see my husband every day. It was very good, the admissions person was excellent, I really liked her, she's helped us get everything in place, and my husband will move in on July 5th. We dined there, we toured all types of rooms, and we got the room we wanted. The food is great, the menus are fine, the dining room is lovely, and the people seemed very happy. There are a lot of veterans there, and it would be of interest to my husband."

"I visited Palace Retirement Home, but I thought it was a horrible place. The location isn't good, and it didn't look like they had enough help the day I went. The facilities also didn't look clean and the people didn't look engaged. There were quite a few residents there to be taken care of and I only saw one staff member there. They seemed overworked. It wasn't very spacious, but it looked like it could accommodate the residents that are there."

"My dad is at Angel Guardian Assisted Living right now. We moved him there two weeks ago. Actually it's a smaller community, like a group home. They only have six people with 24-hour care. They have one-on-one care that I think is a lot better than in the bigger places. That's really good. Their staff seems to be very caring and very attentive to their residents. I also like that they have an open-door policy where we can come in there any time 24/7. Right now, my dad has his own room with a bed, a television and a radio in it. He has a hospital bed, which is nice. He can get up and put himself in it, but they have a monitor in his bed. His room is very comfortable. They do have activities there. Residents can participate if they choose to. They do have a bingo set up but there's not enough residents for that. However, they do have a nice large TV and a screened-in porch for them. Regarding food, I had lunch there twice and the food, for me, is very good. Today my dad had fruit, sandwich and some Jell-O. "
