"My father was diagnosed with dementia in 2008. The change in him was so slow I barely noticed it at first. However, that was just the beginning. Towards the end he was frustrated, combative and confused. I did everything I could to help him, but I was unprepared for the change. I had been his caretaker for the past 18 years, just after my mother passed away and every time he got sick, I took care of it. But this, this was just too much for me. That is when I talked to Linda at Senior Care of Brevard; she explained what was happening and (more importantly) what would happen. We live almost 50 miles from Senior Care, but when she offered to take him for a day, I jumped at the chance. He loved it. He would come home and tell me about the "Safari" they went on and how music was always playing (he loved big band music). Everyone was so nice to him. I ended up bringing him in once or twice a week, the long drive meant nothing compared to the relief. It was also good for me. I had more patience with him during the difficult times. Then, when the end came, Linda drove to my house, twice, to help me. This is no ordinary Day Care facility; this is a special place where people treat you like family. "My husband goes to Your Second Home Adult Day Care every weekday, and we couldn't be more pleased about them. They are wonderful. Lately, they've been picking him up because he's had more trouble getting around. They pick him up at eight thirty in the morning and they bring him back by four thirty in the afternoon. They have a lot of activities going on all the time. It's just that he's not able to do some of it, but they walk him a lot because they feel that's important. They also have exercise equipment, where he gets on a bike and then play different games. They keep him very busy. The staff is top notch. They have lounges if anybody needs to get a rest too. We've been using their services for three years now. At first, maybe he was going a couple of days a week and then it went to three days and then now to five days. Their meals are big. They are delivered through Meals on Wheels."

"This place and staff are AMAZING!!! My 98-year old World War II Veteran has been going for a month and what a difference we have seen in him! The bus picks him up in the morning and drops him off in the afternoon. They have medical staff on-hand, entertainment, comfort dogs come in, feed him an awesome lunch and truly care about their clients. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone that is a caretaker for the elderly or Alzheimer’s patient. For 8-hours a day/5-days a week, this place is a Godsend and the staff is absolutely amazing!!!"

"My mom was about to move into Cristal Palace, but at the last minute, they said that she needed too much care that they won’t be able to provide. It’s pretty, clean, well kept, bright, and sunny. The people looked happy. I didn't have complaints about that. The people eat in the dining area where they watch TV. The person that toured us was a big help. I really wanted to put my mother in, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out. "
