Addington Place of Titusville

I toured Addington Place of Titusville. It's very good, but they don't have any big rooms. The biggest room they have is 500 square feet. They don't have anything built for couples. It's nice. I would grade it a five if you're a single person looking for assisted living. The lady who took us on the tour was excellent, and then we went into the largest suite called the Grande. A very nice lady let us look at it, and it was nice. She had a bedroom, a sitting room, a bathroom, a kitchenette, and a screened-in balcony. They take Medicaid.

I toured Addington Place of Titusville. It was very nice. It was a bit dated though. The staff I met there was wonderful. They have activities, but I was not present for any of them.

My mom will be moving here. They had bigger rooms. What I like most is they had a bigger selection of available rooms; that has to do with the place being larger. They have 70 to 80 people there. It boils down to the size of the room and what my mother felt comfortable in. They have a kitchenette, microwave, and refrigerator; that's about it. The idea is for her to get in there if she can't prepare a meal for herself anymore. So, that might be a little convenient that time, but she'll be making use of the dining hall; it's a restaurant type. The staff was very knowledgeable. There is a courtyard, and the room my mother is going to choose faces the courtyard. She can walk out of the room to the outdoors on her own.

The staff is very good when taking care of my wife. They have adopted a shift team approach so the memory care residents see the same people almost every day. The food is good and they have good activities every day.
