"I was treated very nicely during my visit at Ormond in the Pines. They were very helpful. It’s a little bigger than the other facility I’ve visited and was homey. I saw one of the rooms -- very clean, nicely set up, and comfortable looking. The facility was very nice, very clean. The residents were happy, and there were a lot of activities. I saw a list of activities that were available, like there were fieldtrips and bingo. "

"We toured Brookdale Ormond Beach. It was a very nice place. I liked everything about it, from the offerings to the people living there. They have nice activities, and the staff I met were all very friendly. They only showed us the one-bedroom units, which were a little on the small side. That's why my brother-in-law was a bit hesitant, as he says he's going to be there with his wife, and it wasn't big enough for the two of them but for one person, they were very adequate and quite nice. They had an outdoor area with some tables and chairs."

"HarborChase of Daytona Beach was very nice. The people were very friendly. It's very clean and attractive. You felt good in it when you first go in. In the memory care they had semi and private rooms. I would have preferred private for my husband. The semis shared the bathroom, but they had sliding doors to each side, and that made it very small. A private room had a little more space to move around. They're in lockdown, but I liked the idea that they can go out and walk around, and they have quite a large area for them to move around in grass. They even had a little doggy area that if they had a pet, they could take it there. It was really nice, and they were contained so they couldn't just go out on the street or anything like that. It was very well kept. I liked it. They had their own quarters. It was very nice and upscale. They had a little theater. If I could have afforded it, I would've had my husband there. They have a little store type thing. It wasn't like there was nothing to look at. They also take them on little excursions, and they have their own eating area, which was very nice. It was newer."

"Grand Villa of Ormond Beach was very nice. The residents seemed to be very happy and interacted with each other in a very friendly way. One man actually was coming off the elevator reciting a poem, and he was very proud of himself. It was a clean facility, very nice, and the gal -- who runs it or whoever gives the tours -- was great. "I like Sterling House. The number of people there was smaller, and I thought it was a little bit better. The staff was good. They were very helpful and very nice. The food was good. The rooms were about the same as at the other facility. They were nice too. Of course, when you lived in a large house, the rooms are small, but still, they're nice. The atmosphere of this community was very good. What I like best about it is that it had a smaller amount of people there. The location of it was near stores. "

"I'm planning to choose CountrySide Lakes for my aunt. It has every bit of care that I could not give her at home. It still allows her to have her independence. This way I feel secure that she has people around her all the time. She fell in love with the place. We got great recommendations from a lot of friends of ours who have loved ones or friends that live there. It just fit every little criteria that we were looking for. The rooms are very nice. They look like an apartment, and they don't look institutionalized (which was really nice). She can make it her own living space. I like the fact that it had a separate kitchen, so she can cook. She can also go to the dining room if she wants to. She can call and have her meals brought to her if she wants to. It gives her choices. They have everything that she likes like bingo, dominoes, and card games. They have a huge swimming pool that's right in front of her apartment. She has her own patio so she can watch the activities outside if she wants or just sit and relax. They've got everything you can think of. They're clean. They're neat. There's no odor anywhere. The staff was all very welcoming. She's excited about moving in. We've also tried a meal, and it was very good."

"Seagrass Village of Port Orange was very nice, but a little over my price range. Their employees did a good job at what they were doing. I had to just wait quite a while for the receptionist there to get a hold of them. They are still tied up with their Covid procedures. We went to their dining facility and looked around. We were there before lunch, so they were running bingo in there at the time. They give you copies of their menu in the package that they present. Their serving area looked good. The layout was an awful. It was a long walk down the hallways to the apartments. It was pouring down rain during my visit, and it was impossible to go outside their facility. It is a new facility though and very well kept."

"My Aunt stayed here and when she first toured it, she called it “homey”. I live in PA and my Aunt’s DPOA, so being able to contact a live person was important for me if I was unable to reach my Aunt or if something was off. From Taylor at the front desk, the PT girls, the cafeteria staff, the aides to Stefany in charge of nursing…all of them were available for my call and if I had to leave a message they always called back. They offer an array of services and my Aunt loved the food! They were definitely an affordable place, but the staff was kind, caring and helpful. Great place!"

"We went to look at the Grand Villa of Palm Coast. We liked that they had a lot of villas. They had one-bedroom villas, and on the other side of the street they had two-bedroom villas. They were modern and up to date. They came with a washer and dryer. They were large, and the units were big. They had main buildings that had all of the things in them, like if you needed care or you had a mental problem. They had separate sections for that, which was good, and it was quite new. I was very pleased with the facility. They serve three meals a day. The staff members were very pleasant and very helpful. They have a lot of area where you could walk. They did not have a swimming pool."

"I liked Grand Villa of Deland, and I was more interested in the memory care unit. It was a nice, two-story building with elevators that the residents need to use it to go down to the activity room. There has to be somebody to assist them, but there was nobody at the nurses' station, which didn’t make me comfortable. I liked the Activity Director and main area. The assisted living facility had everything you could want. It was excellent. "

"Rooms are very nice, if a bit small. For a large institution, the food is very good. Interaction between the staff is ok. It could use some improvement as there is one or two good nurses. The rest seem to be just pill pushers. On the tech there are four really good techs, some good and some bad."

"I have a parent who is currently a resident at Sterling. After being in several other facilities prior, I can highly recommend Sterling House. Everything from the staff, nursing, atmosphere, cost, accomodations, meals, all excellent! It is more of a home/apartment setting, rather than some that resemble hospital settings, or institutions. "

"Woodland Towers is beautiful and very well organized. They have good employees. The dining room is beautiful and huge. They have different menus; every day, they have three different things. If you don't want that, they have sandwiches and things like that you can order. They always have some kind of soup in the meal. They have an ice cream shop open all the time. They have a laundromat on each floor and it's free. They have a swimming pool, they have a spa, and they have activities for the pool. They also have activities on the floor. They have a beauty salon. It's very clean and smelled good. We liked that one. It's a full apartment with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and a private bedroom and bath. Interaction with the staff was very good. They're very well-behaved. We were very happy. They were very professional."

"I toured Angel Premium Care LLC. Upon entering the home, it is a private dwelling. It was very clean and very nice. She had one other patient in the home who was bedridden. If we decided to go with that, my mom would have shared the room with the other patient. I didn't particularly care for that because it was a male, and there was no separation in the room. In other words, if my mom had gone there, a male could have been in another bed. I didn't care for the fact that the residents mostly have to stay in that one room because it is a private home. So, she is doing a good job. The owner was very nice, but it would not be for my mom. It was very nice on the inside. The owner lives there, so it was kept up. I don't want to say anything bad about it, but for my mom, it's just not the right place."
