HarborChase of Daytona Beach was very nice. The people were very friendly. It's very clean and attractive. You felt good in it when you first go in. In the memory care they had semi and private rooms. I would have preferred private for my husband. The semis shared the bathroom, but they had sliding doors to each side, and that made it very small. A private room had a little more space to move around. They're in lockdown, but I liked the idea that they can go out and walk around, and they have quite a large area for them to move around in grass. They even had a little doggy area that if they had a pet, they could take it there. It was really nice, and they were contained so they couldn't just go out on the street or anything like that. It was very well kept. I liked it. They had their own quarters. It was very nice and upscale. They had a little theater. If I could have afforded it, I would've had my husband there. They have a little store type thing. It wasn't like there was nothing to look at. They also take them on little excursions, and they have their own eating area, which was very nice. It was newer.

It was a beautiful facility and the staff was very nice, but our family lives too far away. My father wanted to be more centrally located, so the family would have an opportunity to visit him. It was a brand new facility. They had multiple courtyards, their rooms were very nice. The dining room was beautiful. It was very clean. They provided showering or help with dressing, but he doesn't need any of that. He just mainly needs socialization.
