"I toured Blue Palms Senior Living of Deland. It was wonderful. The staff was super nice. The communication was a big key for them. So that was important for me. The staff was amazing. We were just there for a tour and they were very polite and greeted us. They kept in contact with me throughout the entire process. So it was wonderful. The facility was pretty. It was clean. It smelled good, too. They were cooking very nice food and it smelled good throughout. It didn't have an assisted living feel to it, but it had a very nice homey feel."

"The staff at Grand Villa of Palm Coast were very nice and friendly. I would consider that place to move to. It was ideal. The setup was nice. You have a choice of an apartment in the main building as well as separate villas that come with a garage, which I liked because I am still driving and have an automobile. If there's any shortfall about it was the place being out in the rural area. The lady who toured me was very nice, very respectful, and very professional. She knew her job very well. She was just top of the line. She introduced me to the gentleman that was the overall boss of the place and was also very cordial. professional, and seemed to know his business. They have exercises, get-togethers, card games, and all the normal types of activities that you would think of. They even invited me back for dinner/lunch. Everything was neat and clean. There's no dust in any place that I've seen. It was very nice. Their parking facilities just need a little work and some signs, because I thought they had quite a walk to get to the entrance."

"My mother is in Woodland Towers and she gets everything she needs there. She gets meals, housekeeping, and interactions with people. It's good. Her apartment is pretty good-sized and clean. It has a pool, a jacuzzi, a large dining room, and good security. Part of the monthly rent is two meals per day. It has laundry services or you can have someone do it for you. They have housecleaning, cable, phone, internet, and air-conditioning. They offer transportation to activities and shopping, and they have exercise, bingo, and bible study. The staff is great."

"I'm very satisfied with Sky Active Las Palmas. I like everything, and everything is fine, but I haven't been here long enough. I haven't participated in a lot of things. It's excellent. My room is always in good condition. If I leave the room, everything I go to is in very good condition. It's very clean. I never have a problem with anything. The staff is excellent. They're always asking me if I need anything. They're very, very good. They have a lot of activities. They have an excellent library. They have an outside pool, which we can't use yet. They have every kind of exercise class. They have a lot of games, card games, and socials. I'm eating three meals a day. The food always isn't what I like or whatever, but the food is very good. I have no problems. I've never gone away hungry."

They go on 3 outings a week to various restaurants and shopping. The activities director keeps everyone involved. They have many options to get involved. Mom made many friends during her stay."

"I went to tour Villa Grande on Saxon. With maintenance, there was someone that would come in for $20 and clean the unit whenever it was needed, but the overall ground was beautiful. They have everything. They have an exercise room and a room called the card room where you could play different games or cards. They have a pool table. We only talked with one person, and she was very knowledgeable. The place was beautiful. The grounds were clean. The lady I talked with knew her job. She did her job."

"Clyde Morris Senior Living Communities seemed like a good value. They had a nice-sized room. I looked at the two-bedroom apartment. They had nice facilities. They had everything but a pool. They had a washer and dryer, a physical fitness room, a lounge, and a balcony. The facility was brand new, so it all looked nice. It was clean and empty like a new apartment would look. The staff members were busy, but they were helpful."

"My 92yo mother was a long term resident, 4 years total. She started in Independent Living where she enjoyed using all the facilities and made many friends. As her dementia progressed she moved into different levels of care. She was always able to be moved into an exact floor plan as her previous apartment which made each transition easier. Her care throughout her stay there was excellent. Each level recognized her needs and her care changed accordingly. Mom shared her apartment as she entered moderate and late dementia and the staff ensured she was paired with another lady who meshed well. As she entered her late stage dementia the nurses and caregivers were beyond excellent. As to basics, the entire facility is spotless, the food was very good and plentiful. Mom had a complete apartment that was cleaned continuously and her laundry done weekly. Her physical care was also excellent.The caring staff always ensured mom was dressed and groomed daily, her nails carefully maintained and beautiful. There were daily activities for the residents in the skilled nursing and participation was encouraged. Bingo, was her favorite. I am so thankful we found this wonderful facility and as my mother has recently passed I can only say this was absolutely the right place. "

"My wife moved into Majestic Gardens Living. It's a fairly small place. It's almost a brand-new building, and it's very nice and very clean. Her room is very nice and very big. The staff has been very good. They provide 3 meals a day. They're not gourmet, but they're OK. They have activities all the time, like bingo and board games. I would recommend it to anybody. It's owned by a lady doctor, and she comes in every day. She has a pretty good crew there."
