"My ex-wife is in the memory care at Grand Villa of Palm Coast. I can't say anything, but good about it. It's a very caring group of staff. I was initially shown it and helped choose it along with my daughter. They've been very kind to her and helped her through it. It's very well cared for, and the food is good. I've seen what they feed her, and I can tell it's nutritious. She shares a room now. Initially, she wasn't, and it was a good-size room. It's in a nice area. It's not crammed in the middle of a city. The administrators have always been very helpful. It's top-notch, fairly new, and well cared for. Outside the memory unit, activities are probably a five. In the memory unit, they're mostly sitting in front of the TV, asleep."

"Diamond Assisted Living and Memory Care was very personalized. The people were very pleasant and caring. They answered any questions that we had and we appreciated the attention. The facility itself was very up to date. It might not be the most modern, but it was extremely well-kept. It seemed like there were two separate dining places, one for those who were ambulatory and another section for those who were not. At the time we went, it was set up for the next meal with tablecloths and dinnerware. It had a home-like quality to it."

"Putnam Caregivers is a private home and is considered assisted living. It's 24-hours, and just has 6 residents max, and this is where my mother has moved in. It's a very nice place for this area and it's really a beautiful home. It's not really fancy but it's clean and it's in a nice neighborhood. They help her with bathing, they pass out meds although she still has a nurse come by once a week. They also get her meals, assisting with getting up and down, they get her ready for doctor's appointment, and they call me when they have trouble with her. It has been a good experience so far. Her room is adequate, nothing fancy. The lady who helped me move her was concerned that the headboard wasn't attached to the bed and the bed moved, so she felt that wasn't safe. They have a simple dining room, I had a meal there and it was good. They gave large portions and they make sure the residents get dessert every night."

"My experience with Kiva was a good experience as the staff were all very nice and thoughtful in this time. My family and I really appreciated the time and effort that the staff put in to caring for our family member while they stayed at Kiva. We feel they went above what was expected of them and their duties. I would recommend them to people who needed assisted living. We tour others and made our decision on Kiva and are so glad we picked them. It had a very clean and nice atmosphere to it. It was always clean and did not have a odor as others we toured had bad odors and was unclean in places. Kiva was clean and that is why we decided to pick Kiva and put our family member in their hands which turned out to be a good decision. We all agreed we would pick Kiva again if needed. "

"I was impressed by the cleanliness and the openness of Five Oaks Rest Home. My room is adequate, and the food is wonderful. We have bingo once a month, and group singers that come in and dance. The staff members are wonderful. I also have my little dog with me here. "

"We love the Riverside Cottages. We feel like it's very homey, and they have lots of staff. Mom was not finding anything she liked, so they drove to Chick-Fil-A and brought her Chick-Fil-A to see if she would eat it. So, they're trying very hard to make her comfortable. She, on the other hand, is not comfortable, but we like it a lot."

"My mom is at Coral Landing. The place feels very homey. The staff is very positive and friendly and even tempered. They really care about their clientele. They have town meetings where everyone gets to voice their opinions. I haven’t eaten there, but my mother appreciates the food. It’s a very economical place to live. "

"I've chosen Park of the Palms. There is warmth about the entire place. It does not look like a retirement place, and it does not look like an assisted living. In fact, I stayed three nights. They paid for one, and the other two I paid for. The residents made me feel welcome. I went into dinner, and I was a bit late on Saturday night. When I got there, all the tables were taken, so I sat by myself at the table, which was fine. Across from me, there were four ladies sitting on one table and one looked at me and smiled, and that was nice. She smiled at me; she wanted me to feel welcome, and it was great. Also, they have all the amenities, plus it goes from assisted living all the way to hospice care. Then there is a church there, and they have services on Sunday. I attended the Sunday church service, and even then, I felt welcomed. The room I stayed in was like a huge luxury hotel room. The unit that I toured was a two-bedroom-two-bath -- it was a duplex -- but it shared laundry with one other unit. Then, I saw a two-bedroom-two-bath with a washer and dryer in the unit, and that was the one in the quadruplexes. The place was immaculate, and I was very impressed. The dining room overlooked Brooklyn Lake. It was just beautiful. There were lots of trees. The whole place is beautiful. There was a library and a swimming pool. You can go on tours wherever you want to go. Plus medical, there are doctors and nearby hospitals. They can come in, or you can call if there is an emergency. "
