"My father is a resident, and I found Emeritus at Naples to be the best value and the best location. It is a nice looking place, reasonably priced, and it is close to my residence. It is very professional right from the initial contact. The staff is terrific and very accommodating. His room is a one-bedroom suite -- small, but very nice. The food is very good. They have a very good activity schedule. Once a week, they go to the dog track, bingo, and during the holidays, they have a lot of activities. Everything is doing fine. "

"AdviniaCare Naples was very nice. The staff seemed very nice, but it's an assisted living. It's harder because the rooms were smaller, they can't cook, and they have one little closet. When you go into those places, you're pretty much giving up most of your possessions and it's kind of tough to imagine. It's a nice place and it seemed like they were taking care of people. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, and very helpful. I was only there for like an hour and a half, but I was very impressed overall with their actions and all. The dining room was very nice. I saw them involved with activities as much as they could be. There are medical staff on site and physical therapists onsite, and they all seemed to be very engaged. It's a central location in Naples, and it's easy to get to. There's shopping and banking there. If you want to take your loved one or whoever was there or conduct their business, everything is right there. It's very convenient."

"Canterfield of Fort Myers was very attractive. We had a positive first impression. It's a new modern facility. The staff who accommodated us was excellent. She gave a very good tour and was very thoughtful. We liked her a lot, and we liked the place pretty much, too. It was a close call there, but we just couldn't make it happen. We did not try the food there, but that would be one bit of advice that I would tell everyone, to be sure you eat three meals any place where you go because that's over half of what you're paying for the place. It's a very difficult situation because you're not likely to be able to make any changes to that situation, no one ever gave us that advice."

"We will move into Seascape at Naples. It's two bedrooms, two baths, plenty of room, very much like where we're coming from, and we have an end unit. My husband's a veteran, so we got quite a discount. It just has everything we need and want. It's more like a home. Everything is supplied. You also have breakfast and lunch, breakfast and dinner, or dinner and lunch. They take you to the doctor if you need it, and they have trips. They have all kinds of things going on every day that would be good for my husband. Everything that interests us. We've looked around a lot, and this is our favorite. Grace and Carrie were both wonderful."

"I toured The Collier at Naples. One thing I did like about this place is most of them just have what they call a suite. So, you open the door and there's a bed, a chair, a desk, and the bathroom, and that's claustrophobic for me and I know it will be for her. I met one person who was very nice and very helpful, and took me on the tour, explained everything to me, and gave me some information to bring home. The structure of the building seemed fine. I like Collier because they are like a small apartment. My mother would have not only a living room, but she would also have a kitchen. They don't have a stove in there for memory care, but she has a refrigerator and cabinets. When I stepped into this facility, I felt comfortable."

"My mother-in-law is moving in to Amavida's independent living in December. I have been a part of the decision making process, have toured the community many times, and had a number of meals as well. It is brand new, modern, and the staff is very friendly. I'm excited for my mom and look forward to visiting just as much. "

"It was beautiful, brand new, and the rooms were gorgeous. I loved everything about it, but they didn't have any shared rooms. That would've been my first choice. I met the activities director and they had just done karaoke with the people, which was really fun. They also do cooking classes and exercise classes. They offer a lot. I liked the way the showers were. There's no having to step up or step out. You just walk right into the shower. I liked that they have menus you can order from. My mother could have her food brought to her. It's a really pretty place."

"My mother-in-law is a resident at the memory care unit of American House Fort Myers. It's very open and has an airy space. The care is also very good. The staff is excellent and provides excellent service. The facility is very clean. They have a swimming pool, and for activities, they have bingo and various other games. They're just very expensive."

"My brother moved in the first week of December to Brookdale Fort Myers Cypress Lake. He has a nice, little apartment and goes to two separate dining rooms: one at breakfast, and one at dinner and lunch. He sits outside and talks to the people and goes to the Friday afternoon cocktail party. He was honored right after he got there as one of their veterans. He doesn’t do much, but he does a lot more than he did living at home in Texas, so I’m very pleased. The staff is absolutely lovely, and they tell me when I’m there that he’s doing well. He socializes better and seems happier and more alert. We’re all 15 minutes away, which is a big advantage. "

"My parents found a place, and they're going to move in in a couple of months at Lely Palms. It has independent, assisted, and memory care. When my parents decide which one they need to go to, they're covered; I do like that aspect of it. They took us to lunch, and the food was very good. We got a really good feel for it. It's a very warm caring feel for the place. I feel comfortable having my parents there. The room has a full kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave. Outside, there's a pool, a bocce court, and a putting green."

"It was very nice and they have everything. The rooms are well setup. They have the studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom. The people that work there seem to be very nice too, very accommodating, and they answered all questions."
